Hearing him talk about using his poetry skills on EPH was cool. I hadn't even realized how in depth his pieces were. I adore George. I've been following him since his poetry days on Def Poetry and seeing his evolution is inspiring. He and Rafael Casal and other Bay Area artists making that shift from poet to rapper, and being good at it, is a fun journey to go on. Also, George is fantastic in concert for the Welcome to the Family Tour.

He's honestly one of my most favorite rappers ever and I used to not even like rap. Listen to the Cardboard Castles album first. Sloppy Seconds is incredible.
What I love about watsky is that he's a poet first and a musician second, although they are close. So his music is interwoven with lyrics and progressions I could never think of. He's great at rapping fast and giving you a message to think about
