Went to a slaughter to prevail show and seen more people just standing there recording with their phones then jumping around. If that show was in 2001-2008 the whole floor would have been one giant circle pit .the early 2000s was amazing. These kids Are Soft AF now days.

I feel like when it comes to moshing it's a yes and no on the how hard it is. I remember around 2018-2019 that Metalcore shows were becoming full of crowd killing and knockouts on the regular. You would go see a band like Varials and there would be so many fights and I was baffled because shows were looking like how Richmond Hardcore shows were looking back in the 2000s just with less weapons and not quite as violent. Nowadays however after the pandemic you have all these tiktok kids coming to shows and it seems like the harder moshers have either backed off because they're kids or they're just getting old and growing out of it. On the other hand you have hardcore shows which used to be straight up unsafe for normies to come out to however they are also getting flooded with Tiktok kids. Just my observation but I think those kids are bringing in mad ticket sales on a level never seen before so the older harder moshers don't want to scare those kids away because it's good for business.
you thinking what your fans "want" is so far off. all the new listeners and views on Spotify are soft & think five finger death is hard AF and/or just dont like deathcore. I'm early 30's and while life does change over the years my taste in music does not, just like TRUE FANS. Deathmetal/core, etc is coming back hard and Attila shifted to soft borderline hard rock to get a larger fanbase... It's a shame because the older tracks we're dirt nasty and could of evolved to be even better. respect the taste in music others have but dont say the OG fans wanted this. we dont.
