It's still looking complication but it's cool that can fix it. People say they just couldn't do it but when you do it's so satisfying and saves so much money.
hi dan! awesome news that the solar panel install caused no issues with the electrical systems of the bus. its also nice to know if you want to bolt more panels on the roof no wires will be in the way. see you on your live stream tonight.
Hi Dan just take care of yourself
Dan I couldn't get to my switch box to my pool pump, I rigged up a bellcrank and long rod with a handle with some help. Now I can turn it off and on from outside. You could do that with that knife switch from the inside
Redundant lift power. Can you find an accessible place to put a lift power supply disconnect? Bring a spare chair (batteries on wheels) make an XLR extension, and plug it in to the lift. So you can still operate the lift with the main batteries disconnected and without fear of backfeeding the bus.
I think the root of the electrical madness here, is that colored wire that goes left near to the connector... or just rewire everything. I mean: good luck, or better; I am sure that you will solve it.
Hey Dan hope you get it figured out. I think it could be a relay issue are the socket wiring weather its corroded are incorrectly. wired. It sounds like it is feeding back to other components.
I seriously hope that it's not something as simple as a lightbulb on your bus roof running lights problem…
Hi Dan, those relays look a bit like there's water or condensation inside of them and they aren't that expensive here in the UK, but the world's gone crazy with things going expensive lately. Just seen your other video (Vlog 621) would it have anything to do with the starter interlock push button ? 👍
yea theres a lot of 'fake' parts out there for sale these days! now i know why bolts on airplanes have serial numbers! lol
the interlock bypass button just jumps 2 pins on the starter solenoid control module - i installed it originally when i first discovered the ignition switch issue JUST to make sure the engine could be started reliably when needed. so it shouldn't be interfering with anything :^)
“When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” ~ Arthur Conan Doyle, The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes.
I notice that you don't talk about the color of wires. I assume the colors are important.
colors aren't really important with this setup.. each wire has identifiers printed right on it (every 6 inches) and everything is organized by junction post, and circuit numbers :^)
