    Great idea. I had a different model but just added this one to my Dear Santa list… Thanks for another great tip.

      Hi Richard, do you have the version without the brass connection/fitting? If so, I almost purchased this type, but then did some research and paid about $5.00. It’s worth it though.

    SCORE! Another great video! A really great thing might be an app for smart phones that REMOTELY inform you of the water levels. EKKO owners could then just stand at the Nautilus panel (water control panel) and monitor levels REMOTELY from there...no need to walk back/forth to the unit entry. Kudos for the info about the water meter...does it also monitor PRESSURE (for the city water connection?). And again thank you for a really informative video, How kind of you to put these together! (By the way, I've heard the screen door rattles a bit as you go down the road. Do you notice screen door rattle? Is it "intrusive" to your drive/ride quality?). Thanks!

      Hello Robert,
      Thank you for the kind words. That would be a cool feature and an app to have.
      There is an in-line product but I’ve been a little nervous about installing it or playing with it.
      No, it does not monitor pressure. That would be great though. I think if one is unfamiliar with where the water is coming from. It might be good to have an alternate pressure reducer or something like that on board.
      This past weekend we went to a place where you could dispose of your cassette, toilet waste, and it was a super clean facility in Pullman Washington. But thank goodness I wasn’t connecting to their hose for any purpose other than following the instructions to rinse behind because that thing was like a fire hose with pressure lol yes, the screen door does rattle a little bit. You can put a little rubber isolators.
      Mostly, I can hear the tailgate package rattle under the sink on occasion, but I think I’ve just learned to drowned out the sound well I hope you’re doing well and thank you again for taking time to comment.

    Hi, I’ve been enjoying your videos. Did you say why you don’t want to overfill even though it has an overflow valve? Thanks

    • @ekkonesters599
      @ekkonesters599  Год назад +1

      Hello Brian, thank you for taking time to watch our channel and videos. In respect to the overfill (overflow). It’s not necessarily going to create any issues. It’s more from the stand point of reducing waste while driving in turns and curves. But my experience is been when it’s being filled from the port as in the video, the water will spill over. The concern that I’ve had is as the water spills over it lands on the metal (valve compartment cover). There is a seem that allows water to escape into the non-waterproof area (behind the control valve’s, just under the drivers side bed area). There is electrical behind there as well. For that reason, I prefer not to introduce this risk factor.
      I hope that helps. If not just shoot me another message and I can show a quick clip of this. Thanks again.

    Did you do any of the modifications to stop the water from siphoning out while driving?

    • @ekkonesters599
      @ekkonesters599  Год назад

      Hello Curt, first and foremost thank you for watching our channel and taking time to share a comment.
      If you’re referring to the siphoning that occurs when the tank is full, especially when on twisty winding roads, no, I haven’t done anything about this. We don’t seem to lose much water if any.
      I wanna believe that because we have a suspension upgrade. A lot of the body roll and sway has helped reduce this.
      But , I am assuming you’re talking about the overflow drain and where people lose water when turning down or up very twisty roads. Is that what you’re referring to?

      @curtstager634 Год назад

      @@ekkonesters599 yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I haven't paid too close attention to it myself, but I'm sure that I lose some.

    ( we are wannabee's right now) I'm guessing the fresh tank was empty (drained) before you started?

    • @ekkonesters599
      @ekkonesters599  Год назад +1

      Hello, thank you for watching our video and subscribing to our channel.
      Yes, I had to drain the remaining water prior to filling the tank.
      In theory there’s always a little bit of water left in the tank, but I still do my best and flush in the entire system, especially if it has sat. Most respect it is a close system, but I still do my best to ensure we have quality water.

      @@normanfloristinc8187Hello, thanks for sharing the feedback.
      The EKKO definitely should remain at the top of your RV list.
      I would continue watching as many videos as possible and also check out some of the Facebook groups. If you go to Winnebago, EKKO free speech- Facebook group you don’t have to subscribe or be a member to share and or look at some of the information there. There are other groups that require that you join and they have great information.
      If you do narrow your search down and the EKkO remains on your list, please feel free to reach out. In the meantime, Have a great day.
