- This custom B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) dive coaster opened in 2022, stands 153 feet (46.6m) tall, reaches a top speed of 60 mph (96.5 km/h) during its 90° 143 foot (43.5m) drop, and features three inversions - an Immelmann, barrel roll and corkscrew.

I still can't get over the fact that there is literally no shade when loading the trains, not even a cover over them. Besides that, this coaster looks great! A good addition to this park
Yeah it's odd. They spent all their $$ on the ride and left nothing for theming or even a practical structure. Though I will say they have shade canopies for the queue in the station and the ride operators have a shade structure too.
@@JasonBob looking at the queue from the top of the holding brake, there's like 4 shade umbrellas in the entire queue and the very small shade structures at the station. Still way too little even with these
no station building / cover, and no landscaping.
If ya think thats crazy, wait until you hear about the size of the orca tanks!
SeaWorld really cheaped out on the theming of Emperor and Pantheon

I have to wonder if a roof will eventually be added over the station, sort of like how Full Throttle at SFMM initially opened without a station roof, but one was added later on.

This rollercoaster is amazing.
I just went on this today, and it is AMAZING. I was really scared in line, but after 2 seconds I was having a great time. It was so smooth that it was almost relaxing.

@@popdog5374 Not sure if you’ve already been on it by now but I will admit you do get a pretty big stomach drop feeling (I usually sit in the front) but other than that it’s super smooth and fun! I’m scared of roller coasters and this was super fun for me, highly recommend! :)
I loved it!! I agree it was almost relaxing!
I kept expecting a second drop then realized it was over. Definitely on the short side but more elements than a typical dive. Since the dives with two drops have a second brake run they seem longer but some of that time is just braking. Emperor also looks like a mini dive with only 6 seats, like they shrunk everything down a third.
As for theming/landscaping after seeing iron gwazi, pantheon, ice breaker, and now emperor, I think sea world decided to prioritize getting these rides open over decorations. It seems like landscaping and station improvements are something that can be added later.
I would rather have four brand new, world-class or crowd-pleaser coasters from sea world parks than the single new super well themed cedar fair parks’ roller coaster offering, Tumbili.
This was the first loopy loop ride I went on and it is a blast! Highly recommend going here in San diego
This was the coaster that made me start liking huge coasters. My friends made me go on it, and now I love everything!
That is the cheapest, crappiest looking load station I've ever seen. What a disgrace.

They really let this coaster sit empty for a whole ass year and didn't use that time to do ANY landscaping or even build a shade cover for the station. Nothing says "penguins" like zooming around a big pile of gravel.
I never plan to go to seaworld so these videos are the closest I can get to these coasters lol
Last time I went to SeaWorld, this girl was begging me to go on this ride. She said it's not actually that bad, but I'm not sure I trust her judgement...
It seems like they kind of rushed making it but still manages to make it look fun and be fun. Wish I rode it while I was at seaworld san diego. We were just too tired at the end of the day but at least I rode electric eel. Skyrocket Il's are underrated
I remember riding this 2 times yesterday. I was kinda suprised that I was the right height to ride it, cuz I wasn't supposed to. I ended up riding it 2 times, both of which I had the front row seat. It was wild, but still hella fun. Next time I go back, maybe I can try Electric Eel.
electric eel will be closed to up to 6 months sadly because of someone reporting leg pain
@@EliTheSamurai0 and that was the whole reason why I rode emperor instead of electric eel, cuz it was closed.
@P648bItYT same man, I got on it 3 times two weeks ago also when it just barely closed which was a bummer, but at least when it opens up we can experience it

I really don't get why you would spend a lot of money on a B&M (they are like the Porsche brand of Rollercoasters) and then not build a roof above the loading platform.. like come on, that little bit of extra money wasn't there or what? Landscaping as well...

Great coaster! But I gotta say for a dive coaster I gotta put Hang Time (Knott’s Berry Farm) slightly above it, but that’s just me.
They had so much extra space to make this longer! What were they thinking?? This seems like a rush job in many ways including no theming…
