I’m waiting for him to sell his motorcycle. This guy sells everything he buys.
Yeah…….it’s a typical routine with you……..it’s not working for me…..
You turned a Smart car into a Stupid car when you lifted it. Life is short and I have lost friends and family members to motorcycle accidents. I sold my fourth Harley Davidson after 26 years of riding. Cellphones in drivers hands are like having thousands of drunk drivers everywhere so having said that. I would sell the Harley and the trailer and then buy the best towable 4x4 Toyota. But you do you.
You're logic is dangerously flawed as why should he give up riding his Harley when it's the other dumb drivers that can't keep control of their vehicles over a cellphone matter in fact Americans are car driving so much that it's a major contributor to the obesity epidemic.
@KILLKING110 because you have to live in the world of how things actually are. It'd be nice to live in the world of how things ought to be, but we don't.
Do what you do to be happy do not critique others for their life choices, carma rules 101. More people die per capita from a fast food diet than any other lifestyle. Food for thought
@@KILLKING110 Yes it’s a choice and I made mine. I have no regrets about selling my HD
There’s a lot of people in graveyards that did nothing wrong and are killed by dumb drivers who won’t ever start a business or write a book. Everyone has the right to be happy and free.
Looking good. 1 project at a time. I would love to come out and visit sometime. Have a great day.
He might as well rename the channel to boring desert life 😴. Obviously, RV travel is a joke at this point. Canceling the East Coast trip two years in a row 🙄
In 2024, letting someone stay on your property this long, and more time than yourself, is a recipe for future legal problems.
I homesteaded on 35 acres and always welcome friends and others to stay as payment for handyman, caretaker and security services while I'm gone. You don't realize how many times you need a 2nd pair of hands until your maintaining land yourself. If I was concerned about it I would simply write a lease.
Panda M. has a neighbor who keeps a eye on her base camp when she is on the road. He is the owner of the Nomad Ranch vlog.
That can happen. Make sure you have official papers that he is a temp hire...
@@tomday1318 Be careful with rent hire liability, IRS, Ins etc.
should only allow if you really trust the person and know they are of good character. worst case i think he'd have to have them evicted, but i really don't have any idea about squatting laws in arizona.. i think someone has to reside at an address for several years to make any sort of actual claims on a property in most states, other than as a tenant. but it's an interesting thing i hadn't considered and probably worth eric thinking about whenever he's deciding who to allow to stay on his property.
U going to regret selling that smart car .... Hope u get a new toy and we get to join you for new adventure again.
I'm sick to my stomach about Tatertot. That car was part of the family. It's bad enough you butchered him to put those tires on. Then abandoned him for a motorcycle. Now we're stuck in the desert for another year. Keep messing up your channel and wonder why people keep dropping off...🤢🤮
If you insulate Babe use spray foam. It seals the cracks and prevents rodents from coming in and using pink insulation for nests. Just a suggestion... 🤔
Spray foam provides the best nesting scene for insects- want termites, use spray foam.
My Onnan Generator was doing the same thing your's is doing. I found the spark plug wire broken inside the boot causing a bad connection I put a new end on the wire and now it's working great.
Yeah, we already replaced the wire all the way through and have tried three different spark plugs now using the factory OEM champion spark plug that Onan originally put in these generators. Didn’t change anything. The unit still struggles under power and throws a 36 code for shut off for unknown reasons.
@@nomadicfanatic i saw someone mentioned something about their same model onan generator needing some kind of firmware update, i don't know if it requires some sort of special diagnostic obd-II like tool but if you've gone through it as far as ignition, air, and fuel already that would be my next step.. likely something going on with the ECM.
Get a Jeep and flat tow it behind your motorhome and expand your videos to off road adventures also, lots of you tube creators to ride along with. You and Kevin and off road vids is what I watch 90% of the time.
Eric , do you think your at a different place in your life now ? It might be a good time to let the Mickey stuff go. Majority of that Mickey crap is junk , worthless and it's just collecting dust. Do something constructive with your life.
Something about this video a little depressing, not sure why.
Build an RC Track on the leach field septic system!
Eric , do you think your at a different place in your life now ? It might be a good time to let the Mickey stuff go ? Just asking 😊
IF you think you have about $20,000+ in your Mickey collection, figure out how much you need to repair your rig, get a daily driver truck, finishing out the Blue Box, and sell what you don't need to finance the projects. Just a thought. You have plenty of duplicate Mickey Memorabilia, so keep one rack's worth along with your other collections. That's more than enough to keep the inside quirky, but will allow you to finish it out however yo like it.
Question, how do you sell a load of collectables? (seriously)
@@19Photographer76 There are specialized auctions for collections like his.
@@19Photographer76 I would find a large flea market in my area and go out there and sell the collection to people that are stupid enough to buy that Mickey stuff. I used to collect Coca-Cola and the truth anything that was a limited edition will never go up in value. The old antique stuff does because it’s not mass produced. He will be lucky to get $5k for all the collection including the modern items.
@19Photographer76 it's a huge PITA. We did it with GI Joe figures ... either you list stuff one by one on ebay or whatever platform or find a dealer that sells similar stuff that will take it off your hands in bulk - and of course then you don't get full value you might have by selling items one by one.
We use what is called shaker run for our property at the lake. Its real small pebbles and dust. It becomes hard with a good rain. Put it down and spread just before rain. Dont druve on it till it dries. Everyone who works needs a vacation. Filming and editing are tume consuming, especially if you are trying to make it interesting for others. The content i personally enjoy is the day to day life. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good; but all real. Its great that you have a friend who uses your property and can provide security for you. Its a good symbionic relationship. Lifting Tator was not good or bad. It was what you wanted to do with your property. Now that you are a landowner, it might be prident to get either a 4wd pickup or 1-ton van. Both have space to haul. However, i love having a crew cab F350. Its tough enough to pull a trailer load of materials, or a ton of rock, or with the topper on, haul more weather sensitive items. Gas mileage stinks though. Its an old 2009. Even pulls 32ft travel trailer. As far as collections, that is your and your alone decision. I would pick out the ones that have significance, put on shelf like Harley and Camel and try to find a Mickey devoted Facebook group and with their permission, put the collection up for sale thru them. love the Kitties. Cats are the perfect pet for someone like you who is spending time working independently on a flexible schedule. Dogs have to have a routine, a place to play and exercise. And be disciplined like CVKs Woof Pack. im sure some will disagree with me. I love dogs and cats. But to me, cats ate easier. And since im 77years old, i need easy. Love your place. Love your hospitable personality. Live your friends. To have great friends, to have to be one.
Use the septic area to make a track for your RC cars.
It was fun seeing the Mickey collection grow, but if you aren’t enjoying it anymore and need the room more, then definitely let it go. You can do something more special with the extra room.
Collecting is really a coping skill. It fills the cracks of longing for better days. A sign of good mental health is moving through these stages of growth. I have a lot of nice things, turns into I have a lot of things turns into things turning to dust. For healthy folks attachments are to other sentient creatures (friends, loved ones, pets). Spend the emotional energy on the living, they need it and can feed it back to you. Mickey, not so much.
The main thing is IF it brought Eric fun...it did...now he might like to sell it and move on to new interests. Perfectly normal!
If that was the standard for good mental hygiene drug addicts would be home free.
Once he did the lift, you knew it was gone. lol. Don't mod vehicles that simply commute.
Agreed. And I would have never bought a lifted smart car. Especially since it looked like it had bigger tires put on it, which effectively would lengthen your gear ratios and give you less torque.
Well, Eric, you are finally getting some sensibility about you. Most definitely sell all the Mickey collection and stop collecting so much Junk. Also, besides selling the smart car, sell that old Bigfoot rig that you have and go get a four-wheel-drive pick up truck that can handle a fifth wheel trailer And that way you’ll have a vehicle to drive and a place to stay and I think somehow you can figure out doing a rig for the bike. I don’t know, maybe sell that too. Either way if you keep investing in that rig, you’re just gonna keep wasting more and more monies. Get a new rig, or one that is much, much newer, maybe even 2020 or newer. Not one that’s 21 years old.
Rolling stock is a depreciating asset. Build wealth for your future happiness by seeking appreciating assets like your property and buildings. Buy more land and develop it.
oh I would sell your Disney Collection before it loses all its value.
people are giving up on Disney it is much too expensive for a family to go there they've made their prices unreasonable for the average family .
Keep extra special meaningful Mickey memorabilia in a section like you have for Camel and box or sell the rest of it.
Good riddance! Hate Disney and their agenda.
What agenda?
Me too, it was so fun 50 years ago, but now not so much.
Walt was CIA. It's wicked.
Oh go sit down.
@@McH0rrorYour totally wrong.. Disney has turned woke also .like butt wiper, target etc...unless you one also .
You should buy a Lincoln Town Car . . . why not? Just adding fuel to the dumpster fire.
Take your time and fix some of the issues
I freaking called it. Eric what the hell are you thinking. I'll be running right back to this comment when you have seller's remorse.
You should definitely insulate Babe the Blue Box. Also selling your collection isn’t a bad idea. Cash in your pocket
u mean betty the blue box?lol.
He should have done that but, he did not he bought a GEO Tracker instead.
What happened to your KFC sign?
$300 a month for propane vs insulating the blue box vs underfloor heating running off solar. I know which I’d go for.
Suzuki Samurais are a popular toad. 4wd grocery getter that's light weight, flat towable and 4wd.
If you could find a good one, that would be awesome little vehicle
Honestly I’d sell all the collections . That property is ready to be homesteaded! I sold a lot of unneeded stuff I had sitting . You quit looking at it besides a walk by. I planted fruit trees, made raised beds, got some chickens, rabbits . Go off grid . There isn’t much better as far as rewarding experiences go.
Dude - why 50deg? that's ridiculous overkill - Spray Foam - "LiFePO4 batteries can typically operate within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F),"
2:03 Sounds like you're looking for a Jeep which are pretty fun when maintained well now a days with the Rubicon's and such
Most jeeps needs lots of maintanace to keep them going toyota are best bet out of anything
I'd keep that Harley collection, for sure. Would like to see you build that Catio for the Kitties. As far as your blue building, you could easily buy another and somehow connect them to have a bigger home. You have so many possibilities on that property. Love these Homestead vids, keep them coming!
I don’t see your Colonel Sanders sign
The older we start down sizing.
$300 a month to barely keep batteries and mikey mouse stuff from freezing? That's crazy, you could turn that blue box into a tiny home, who's going to see all that mickey mouse stuff anyway, pack rats and mice? Sell it all, your just paying to give the rodents a warm place to live, and a free mickey mouse museum to hang out in!
Nice to see you back on home base. It is a nice spot you have. I am not good with "seeing" what you see/show us but - maybe clear more and put the RV where you once parked. Like I said - without being there and seeing your place - just a comment. The collection - well yes what does a person do with any collections? Maybe check on google ( good ole google ) and see what some options might be.
Oh that little car.....sad but understand. Replace with something that will be good to use for things around the property and fun for towing as you need it. Small 4x4 or pickup and then a small open trailer for hauling?? Hey you'll figure it out.
Your lucky to have someone staying on site - that is a good thing and am sure helps him out as well.
looking forward to seeing what all you change/fix etc.
$20,000………😳………..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There are lots of silly comments in with the really helpful ones. You do you! 😊 Keep going, looking forward to what comes next.
Yeah Eric, you should sell your mickey collection bc it's exactly what you said, you've enjoyed doing the hobby but it's now time to take Profits. You can't take any of it with ya & besides, you have it all on video.
Eric you should try to find a old chevy El-Camino or a small Pickup like a rangers do come in 4 wheel Drive so do Toyotas pickups
Macerator pump and a long garden hose
HUGE waste of water to push the waste - when we have to haul in our own water out here...
Yr Mickey collection is taking up precious space in your tiny home. Suggests you sell it and put the cash to good use. Dont' clutter your storage unit with boxes of useless Mickey toys.
Welcome home!! So glad your back and take some time for yourself and the kitty meow meows... we all will still watch comment and like maybe even a couple times 😂
G'd Mornin' Eric, why don't you build a small insulated box for your Lithium batteries? There are several different ways to keep them warm. One is just put one or two 100 watt light bulbs in the box. Another is a Battery Blanket. I was stationed in Alaska in the 70's. We'd have to keep our vehicles warmed when parked, including the batteries. The battery blanket doesn't use that much power, I'm sure your solar station would easily power it. $300 for propane is waaaaay too much, wow. I've been following you, CVK, Mike and a couple others since the beginning. It's been a long ride. I was hoping to travel like you guys but I suffered a serious back injury, had to sell my RV...... Good Luck & safe travels, Later...
I like the homestead. It is inspirational. The cat interviews are cool too!--VTown Paddy Patrick
My trash day for me is Wednesday's at 913 S. Grand Ave. San Jacinto California.
I hope you get a pretty penny for all your Mickey collection. As I get older, less is more! Stuff is just stuff.
Good times with Jax , and the mickey mouse collection, ...try not to drink so much ur still young enough to stop and stay healthy
my hubby and i loved tater tot and all you did to it, and will miss seeing it, but we are looking forward to the new 4x4 and we love that you are showing us around your place again and what you plan to do. no matter what, we all love to see what you are doing next. keep up the great work. 😊
You can use an electric pad under the batteries and not heat a whole building. That is what I am going to do. Just came back from Concho. Moved my CONEX into position, finished painting the interior, and had a toliet hole dug and some driveway work done. Most of my pinion pines survived by growing up inside a juniper. I will need to cut the junipers down around the pines.
We did the same in our camper van. We build a foam insulation box, added the heat pads and now we don't have to worry about them getting too cold.
I think the gas heater was because he was leaving right away could not setup the heating pad that quick. He needed to get out of there because his old RV was not protected from freezing. Glad when I bought my Cabin up in Alpine 20 years ago it had grid power didn't have to deal with solar and batteries. Hardly use much power anyway not even worth investing in solar I have a generator when power goes out.
@@Mike-01234 you can get heating pads in a day or two tops...worse case, the local pet store has heating pads for reptiles. Way better than a $1K or whatever for propane...
@@Step-n-Wolf I agree you can go back look at the video where he talks about all that.
love you video's, maybe time to sell Mickey collection and buy a truck to help you supply things for your property,i know you will miss your car ,always wish you good luck!
Hey Eric, does your face hurt? Cuz it’s killing me! Jk jk👍🏼☮️
Why does he have 2k dislikes in every video? I have never seen him do wrong. I've been watching for 3 years.
Idea: a single floor-to-ceiling display cabinet with glass doors to keep the dust out. Rotate your Mickey collection thru the cabinet from time to time. Or just keep a few key things. Or a shelf for each collection. Camel, Harley, Mickey, Jax.
I must say I'm jealous 😊. You deserve it you tube is hard work and the negative people .Enjoy keep making videos and don't worry about us jealous fokes 😅
but
if ur going 2 perhaps sell the disney stuff 2 bad u couldnt find a buyer 2 look at what u have while its still on display.maybe a shop in pheonix might b interested.good luck and wel;come home buddy.
If you ever decide you want to sell your mickey collection..you should consider someone who could take the whole thing instead of peace by peace ..😢❤❤
I’m so happy to see you back home! I love the Taterland content.
Jax memorabilia, I get it. Mickey Mouse and Camel, GTFOH. Make Babe into living quarters.
Why? I have a fully functional RV with everything I need. Why live in a smaller shed? And don't hate on my collections - It's my own thing. You do your thing. Relax.
DON"T quit please! When things go south like you have experienced, we then...pause...and re-evaluate the situation as you have done! PLEASE keep the land in AZ. While I am an Arizona Native now living in Illinois/Wisconsin. Show Low is a very popular place and your land will increase in value over time and will be a lucrative asset. You can always count on Arizona weather with sunshine year round! Agree Sell the collection to free up some cash. Your priority is getting that RV back on road for your mental health!! I am glad you have JAX burial in your homestead. JAX is in pet heaven waiting for you to arrive, but I know he visits your home on a regular basis! God Bless Eric!
I love changes. Changes are good! Go for it!
Take some time off of the road fix your rig take care of the property then travel.
ERIC, GO BUY A SUBARU. I have a 2019 Impreza. It has over 162,000 miles on it. It averages 29-32 miles per gallon. It is AWD. It is a good 5 star safety pick car. Toyota owns 20% of Subaru. The only things I did to my car is replace brakes, struts, wheels, tires, and I serviced all the fluids and filters. The hatch back base model has advantages with fold down rear seats. I moved all my furnature and belonging in my car to my new apartment.
You shouldn't of mentioned how much your collection is worth. Someone will now trying to find it and steal it.
No one tows subarus flat
If he plans on towing a car, it's not recommended to flat tow a Subaru. I mean, you can try, and he seems to do stuff that's not recommended, and everything eventually gets destroyed, so maybe he will
You should do some tent camping with the Harley
Get a Suzuki samurai! I love mine its little and perfect
I believe Campervan Kevin, about the Canada made steel cogs made for sider, I forgot how much. But they shouldnt wear out 😊.
$1200 plus labor is what I rem but thats not too bad considering not having a functioning slide...good advice!
modular type or find a park unit has room but most way too many window?
Get rid of the Disney collection please.
I'd sell the Mickey Mouse collection or a good hunk of it. Its clutter. Also probably good for you to get a small truck. Anyway, go with the flow.
You’re looking rather slim, seems to me. You look very nice always. Welcome home. 🎉
😊 thank you
Any trees you take out (and I know you know) won’t come back in your lifetime. Think long and hard about removing trees. I had the same problem in California.
Sold tater Tot 😮
Hey Erik, just my 2 cents!!! Get a truck!!! I bought a 2002 Ranger V-6 in 2007 and am in the process of selling it to my daughter!!! I bought a 2020 F-150 Lariat in 2022!!! I'm a Ford Guy!!! Love the V-8!!! Just say'in, you need a truck for all the projects!!! Just keep doing you and I'll be here to watch!!!
Home is what you make it, make it, change it, whatever you heart tells you
Love watching your videos and I want to thank you for all grate memory,s you have brought to me. I really miss the USA 😢 Very sad from the Philippines. I only moved to the Philippines to marry witch is now my wife and at 71 years old I want to move back home to the USA and would love to do what you are doing.
Sell the collection you’re not there long enough to enjoy
Get a Subaru. Small but made for going off road.
Great Tatorland Tour and glad your are back happy at the homestead. More and more RVrs are doing this.
You need a pick'em up truck ! save 31 bucks a month with running stuff to the dump.... Go ahead and liquidate the Disney collection it will be ok.....besides.....you have a Bike & a Truck now.... take care ! you did not need that much heat from propane...heat blanket & set your batteries on them build insulated box..... Cool Top Shelf Plant ! you should fertilize the few trees you like...you would be surprised.
It’s always a good feeling to return home. I’m looking forward to your upcoming projects. 👍👍
So you want a Jeep Wrangler. ;-)
Could you box in the batteries and install and electric heater instead of trying to heat the entire Babe the Blue Box?
So glad you are home... Stay there for awhile !!!!
Older 2011 or before CR-Vs are good flat tows or trackers/samurais like Kevin has....
Eric, you can have that drive grated to level out the gravel. It may save you from needing to buy more right away.
I had to move back to Western Washington from Arizona. Life circumstances.... I miss Arizona!!! I think I will definitely be returning at some point!
Get one of the little 4x4's like CVK has or an old small pickup.
Would love to put my tiny house there. How much Eric?
❤️🤗❤️ love seeing you where you can smile, sorry to see your Mickey collection go away, butt I am kinda of in a similar place in my life. Take care of your Sun 🌞 burn. Pure Aloe Vera is good for burns. Kiss 💋 the kitties for me. You wouldn't really make Tara or her brother work??? ❤️😍❤️
If you get a pickup that can carry your bike you can haul the bike in the bed of the truck. You'll have to get a winch and some ramps along with a wheel chock you put some wheels on but it can be done. The self supporting wheel chock from Harbor Freight worked for me. The only issue I see is the towing capacity of the Big Foot but I'm guessing it's 7,500 lbs. Good luck with the projects and keep the good stuff coming.
Good Morning Eric Tara and Opie. Happy to see you are back home an enjoying yourself on your property Sunshine and Peace and quiet 😊. We love your Micky Mouse Collections love seeing them. 😊 .. i would invite some friends over an have BBQ . Your not too far from Campervan Kevin Felix great friends 👍 😊 . Give Tara and Opie a hug 😊 Stay safe out there on the roads Take care God bless you guys. Keep the videos coming can't wait to see more 😊 your friends Gerry and Pat from Amarillo Texas 🍺🍺🍺😻😻🏈🏈🏈⚾️⚾️⚾️
Yep living in AZ since 1992 good weather sunny skies pool is almost ready to swim were already hitting 100 this week. Also how easy it is to register a vehicle here no inspections. People say how right wing Texas is Government but seems to me they have more Government then we do here in Arizona.
a used sit down lawn mover with a hitch could take your blue boy to the dump station
I would use your gray water to water your trees or plants around the property. Then you just have to dump your black tank
Property looks great Eric.
Hell burn the Micky mouse collection too
It's amazing how many times people offer their opinions that are often critical, but that's all it is their opinions.
I think you need to rest for a while, you've been through a lot and you push yourself too much.
I believe sincerely that you need to take some time on your property and do some homesteading videos.
They'd be interesting to see what you come up with and change.
Eventually, as everyone does, when one grows older one becomes more encompassed in the quality of life and realizes that less is more.
An understanding that possessions, collections, etc. takes excessive energy and maintenance.
Just taking care of yourself, family, pets and friends can be overwhelming as one ages, making what you have, worth less, than your health and needs to be content.
So RECHARGE, RELAX and have fun planning out your homestead.
