Thank you for sharing how to make this recipe. I will plan on making this recipe. I've been sick for about a week and love making quinoa salad as well as many other recipes call for broth. I think having this ready before hand will come in handy. The chicken you put in the crockpot was a whole chicken you cooked or bought already cooked?

Great job on this video. Gonna try your recipe. I only buy free range organic chicken from a local farm. Like to me my own so I know whats in it. Thanks🤗👍

I made it and it was amazing. I also froze some in little containers. I couldn't finish it all.

thanks for vid, just watched Super Size Me part 2 on amazon prime, so noticing how healthy your food recipes are, wanted to share, ...anyone who buys regular chicken anywhere, the chicken is not really what chicken is naturally. I won't go into detail, super size me 2 is primarily first hand big chicken farming, quite alarming to SEE the birds, not really chicken anymore. Calculate 16-32 lbs of corporate chicken is 1 lb nutrition of natural real chicken, (grows multiple times larger in fraction of the time) not to mention what they may be eating, (secret) likely chemical-heavy feed, probably very little real protein in the chicken we eat due to massive size growth at high speed growth rates. The show is interesting and humor too, not a shock value type production at all. p.s. I'm going to try your almond flour bread recipe!! thanks!

Hi Elizabeth! Great video-Thanks so much! Do you keep the fat that hardens at the top when it is cooled? I have heard it is good for you, but I am trying to restrict calories. I considered taking some of the fat off. I would like your advice. Thanks again!

Juliana, great question! We do need some fat in our diets, and the fat on top of the stock is all natural and healthy. If you feel like you've gotten a lot of fat that day (maybe you ate salmon, a lot of avocado, a burger the night before) and you want something lighter, then you can skim it off. I generally leave it, it melts back into the stock. If you skim it off, put it in an airtight container in the fridge and it will last a week, you can use it to saute or cook with.

would this be just as nutritious and taste similar if I were to use a turkey carcass? Should there be any extra chicken added to the broth, or just the carcass?

    • @ElizabethRider

Yes, turkey would be just as nutritious here. If you have any extra chicken meat you can add it for a little bit more flavor, but it will be overcooked and not appealing to eat, so I usually save the meat for another meal.
