Hey Adam, I just signed up for the course but I'm having some difficulty finding the datasmith download for ue5...there's a lot of crossover for ue4 and gets confusing to navigate the site....can you walk me through what I'm supposed to do?

The pool house model is here:
      arch-viz-forum.learnarchviz.com/post/get-the-3dsmax-model-or-the-datasmith-file-here-12223869?pid=1334244148
and there are instructions on the post for how to use it.
For the cabin project, the files are here:
      arch-viz-forum.learnarchviz.com/post/download-project-3ds-max-model-or-datasmith-for-ue5-cabin-scene-12442558?pid=1333400171
Just make sure to get the datasmith file, plus the assets folder, and save them together in the same folder somewhere

Hi, I already purchased this course a few minutes ago . I have also bought several courses from Adam in the past, mostly in Udemy, and I can tell that the quality and dedication put in his courses are really worthwhile. You guys can’t hesitate with the promo from this course.
I’m from Mexico, and I’m studying a masters degree in ArchViz, im learning different softwares and one of them is Unreal Engine, but just in a really basic way, I will complement my learning with this course. I was waiting for it, thanks.
Also, if I’m not bothering. Adam, can you give me a quick opinion about the offline renderers (vray, corona, etc.) vs the real time ones (UE, Twinmotion, D5, chaos vantage, etc.). It is for my final project of my masters, I need the opinion of an Archviz expert. This would help me a lot.
*I have also checked all your videos about real time render engines. Your one of my main reference authors.
Have a nice day, I’m ready to start that UE course.

What do you want to know about them? My opinion of them is that they are still more accurate, and are capable of more accurate (better?) results, but real time is catching up with technology and software. Unreal Engine, especially, is very capable of making very good imagery. It is not technically as accurate as the others, but that is not always the most important thing. Speed, interactivity, etc. can be more important. The goal is to accurately communicate the story of your project. All of these tools have amazing storytelling capabilities, but in different ways. I think as real time solutions, like Unreal, become more and more accurate, they will eventually start to widely replace a lot of offline rendering. For the time being, offline renderers remain because they are still the best option for highly realistic static images.

@@Learn-archViz thank you so much for your answer. I was looking for a more personal opinion about the general difference, relationship, or the basic context of those softwares, and this is pretty accurate.
      Have a good day.

Hi Adam, just a question on 3D cars, trees and people - not a lot of free libraries available in UE5.
Typically all the assests are placed as proxies in 3dsMax/Vray - do you export them as highres models to UE5?
Can't animate them in UE5, correct?
Contemplating if this workflow is practical and fast enough for me...currently more of a Vantage fan!

thanks will check it out - can i ask, i come from a 3DS max & corona background. Id say i have a similiar skill-set in creating CGIs within 3DS Max/Corona to yourself. Is it a big learning curve to get into UE5? Also, when i dabbled into it years ago, it was a bit overwhelming and what i hated most which put me off, was the UV unwrapping required in 3DS max (which i am terrible at, especially with organic objects) - has this changed? Do you still need to uvunwrap everything?

No, Datasmith has made it much more approachable, and gotten rid of all the prep work. Light baking, the other most annoying thing, can be avoided now too

The model (all the parts that belong to me) are downloadable following the links below. In the course you can also get a datasmith file of the whole thing that can be imported into Unreal.

Hi Adam. Tried to purchase the course 3 times using Apple Pay. Nothing is happening even though it says payment went through. Not sure what to do here… please help

I'm not at a computer for a few days, but that seems like a teachable issue. They process the payments for me. When I get back in a few days I can always refund if something didn't work.

I can't see your purchase on my side, so something is not working

Ok, thank you, I'll try again through Teachable.
