TRACK 11 FROM THE 80S DREAM COMPILATION TAPE VOL. 2
DYNATRON is a mighty producer from Copenhagen, Denmark who is the Synth-GOD of space. No one has the ability to make core structure synthwave space influenced tracks like Dynatron. He is the one of the most successful in keeping the retro scene dark and still very well orchestrated. His melodies are sublime and will take you into another world. Dynatron is best known for "Stars of the Night" which has gained a noticeable increase in views over the past few months. There is also a nice visual video for "Dust of the Saturn" directed by STARFORCE....Watch it here - • Dynatron - Dust of The...

@poontang3zizo - "A desolate planet. A dying star. Two explorers emerge from the craft. Across the barren wasteland, far in the distance they see it. A large city defiant against the elements. It beckons them almost. To step further into the unknown. To quench the thirst of curiosity. To discover a new world..."

@Kamil Maj He wasn't talking about some abstract concept of travelling to other stars (theoretically possible in far, far away future), but rather relating to what was "prophesied" in the movies from the 80s for our present times (like trips to Mars, antigravity based hoverboards and flying cars, androids walking among humans and looking just like us, ubiquitous holograms, maybe some time travel etc.).

*As the astronauts feel the thruster activity increase, the ship begins to slow, and eventually the landing program brings the craft to a soft thump on the surface, before cutting out, and depressurizing the cabin. As the doors open, the two explorers gaze out onto the unknown abyss, their eyes still weary from hypersleep.*
"Look. Look at it, Johnson. We made it."
As the two stood in silence for several minutes, they noticed some of the particles that had been agitated by the landing thrusters, floating and sparkling in the vacuum of space... A trillion tiny diamonds, like these musical notes, wafting in the air, to be admired for a moment, then gone forever. Like dust. The *Dust of the Saturn.*

This track, I think I’ve listened to it once a day since it dropped. It makes me think that those of us who were there and wanted to go back...we finally got to return to the mid 80’s only to find while it’s there, it‘s like a room as if you walked out of and returned 40 years later. Covered in dust, sprinklers still running but grass so overgrown, the signs of movie marquees are side ways....there was never a war, there was no natural disaster, we just left it . Left our best times and memories...but there is hope. For those of us willing to put the work in, we can restore what we left to decay, make it as bright, beautiful and simple as it was and this time left that ship take off. I’m staying right here. Some of you won’t understand, some of you will. For those who do, roll your sleeves up. It’s time to turn the lights back on at the video store.

This track *feels* like how i imagine a moody night in 1986's Los Angeles after staying out way too late and VERY slowly driving down the more suburban streets with the top down, trying to think of excuses why you shouldn't just go home and sleep, still seeing the city's lights off in the horizon a few miles away.
You keep trying to make turns that take you away from the city lights, but it always calls you back to steer your car to face it, to look at it; unwilling to just give up the night to the cold restless uncomfort of home; the restlessness that makes you feel like you could always be doing something better. The city draws you in, it's neon magnetism promising vaguely to cut into your melancholia, but that same vagueness makes you afraid to commit to driving right into its heart, so you zig and zag along the perimeter, holding yourself right on the border as your car slowly rolls itself. The cool night wind blowing your hair around. You wish you could just do this forever and never have to decide

+DYNATRON I listen to you guys as I write my sci-fi novel, which functions as something of a hearkening back to the infinite, grand, dark, adventurous, and mysterious nature of 70's and 80's science fiction, which your guys' music reflects wonderfully. In the fantastical event that it ever gets picked up for a film adaptation, my one note to the studio would be that you guys should do the soundtrack. And that John Harris should do the poster art, erm, that too.

I know this is space like...but i can envision this playing while a man is walking through the city streets at night, down a dark alley. He knows something is not right, he can feel it in the air, sticking to him like a thick fog sticks to the headlights of a car. He knows there is someone or something following him. There is no one on the streets if he ran for help, odd for the city but at that time of night not uncommon..he walks faster faster faster hearing his footsteps and someones other footsteps, he doesnt want to turn around, he does not want to face the horror of what could happen or what will most likely happen..his hands are
Clammy and sweat beads down his head...the footsteps are louder And louder behind him almost as if it was ready to lunge..he finally faces the fear and stops...turns around..............

"They land on Saturn. They open the doors slowly, calmly, but also full of mind boggling curiosity. Their first glance at the haze makes their heads tingle and the sweat on their faces can prove just how far they've come. They know that the universe is vast, beautiful, extraordinarily unfathomable and quite unpredictable. They smile inside their helmets as their eyes sharpen to a a point. They walk along knowing they are one, one within this different world. They've done it. But it is not over. Nothing is over. Everything always has a story to continue. They take heavy-feeling footsteps. But they are actually light. The dust clouds around them, they feel like coughing but it is just instinct. This new world makes them weary, makes them constantly wonder. What can be out there? They look up into the stars then again at their surroundings. They nod at each other, with deep breaths edging one another to move on with their little human curiosity knowing how fragile we are. We are all. We are one. We are infinite. Forever in our minds. Our discovery is not questionable, it is just true. They continue into the unknown."
    Thanks.
