ILIA MALININ LANDS QUAD AXEL!

Ilia Malinin landed the first ever QUAD AXEL (4A) in history during his free skate at US Classic International 2022!
Ilia Malinin (born December 2, 2004) is an American figure skater. He is the 2021 CS Cup Of Austria bronze medalist and 2022 U.S National silver medalist. On the junior level, Malinin is the 2022 World Junior champion, 2021 JPG France champion, and 2021 JPG Austria champion. He currently holds the world junior record for the men's short program, men's free skate, and men's combined score.
Malinin is the first skater to land a quadruple Axel, as well as the first to land a fully rotated quadruple axel, in international competition.
