- Is this the first-ever quadruple axel landed on the ice?
We have seen Artur Dmitriev junior attempt them before in competition, and we have also seen Yuzuru Hanyu attempt to be the first skater in history to land the quadruple axel this past season.
But has anyone ever rotated it backwards making the full 4.5 rotations???
This elusive jump has never been seen performed cleanly on ice in a competition, but will this change next year thanks to Ilia Malinin???
