  • YUZURU HANYU's (羽生 結弦) improvement in TRIPLE AXEL (3A) over the years!

    Yuzuru Hanyu (羽生 結弦, Hanyū Yuzuru, born December 7, 1994) is a Japanese figure skater who competes in the men's singles discipline. He is a two-time Olympic champion (2014, 2018), a two-time World champion (2014, 2017), a four-time Grand Prix Final champion (2013-2016), a Four Continents champion (2020), the 2010 World Junior champion, the 2009-10 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and a four-time Japanese national champion (2012-2015). Upon winning the 2020 Four Continents Championships, Hanyu became the first and only male singles skater to achieve a Super Slam, having won all major competitions in his senior and junior career.
    Hanyu has broken world records nineteen times-the most times amongst singles skaters since the introduction of the ISU Judging System in 2004. He holds the current world record for the short program, in addition to the historical world records for all three segments for the era before the 2018-19 season. He is the first man to have broken the 100-point barrier in the men's short program, the 200-point barrier in the men's free skating, and the 300-point barrier in the combined total score.
    Hanyu is the first Asian figure skater competing in men's singles to win the Olympic gold. At nineteen years old, he was the youngest male skater to win the Olympic title since Dick Button in 1948. He also became the first man to win two consecutive Olympic gold medals since Button's back-to-back titles in 1948 and 1952. At the 2016 CS Autumn Classic International, Hanyu became the first skater in history to successfully land a quadruple loop in competition. He is the first men's singles skater from Asia to win multiple World Championships.

    Judges give Yuzu a different standard aka “Yuzu’s standard”. Every time he performed not his most perfect, not his once in a life time perfect, he can not have full GOE. This makes me feel all the judges unconsciously seeing Yuzu’s only competitor is his perfect self. No one can be his competitor, even Chen. Otherwise why always criticize him in a different standard?

    • @feather-san4224
      @feather-san4224 3 года назад +29

      Yeah, could be one of the reason. I mean this guy is the holder of ALL historical records; SP, FS & TOTAL.
      He rules the -3/+3 System and is the reason why we have a -5/+5 one now. It's just disgusting how ISU is treating him the last few years, they are holding his scores back without mercy in order to bring new star in FS and to get rid of the GOAT. They turn blind eyes to everyone's mistakes and wrong techniques and throw them candies, but when Yuzu makes some small mistake they suddenly knows how to call out all the mistakes and lowballed him. Wtf right. When Yuzu finally retires, ISU and his fed will regret those vile things they did to him. They will lose money and fans going to their arenas lmao. Good for them.

    How a judge sees this perfection right in front of their eyes and can decide to give it anything other than perfect GOE is beyond me. He should be getting full marks across the board every time he cleanly lands a 3A. Like it’s not even open to discussion. He’s hitting every damn bullet in the rule book. What else does he need? (Spoiler: the answer is “the right passport”)

      Your special. +3 was the max on his jumps before 2019 and he would always get 2.7+ on good 3A then. Now he gets 3.7 or 3.8 which is .2 off the maximum GOE.

      @911randompsp Год назад +8

      @Samantha Cheng : With -5/+5 system yes. They never give him +5.00 GOE on any element, no matter how perfect it was, instead they loved to give him 0 and +1 for clean perfectly executed elements...

    • @debunked-
      @debunked- 6 месяцев назад +3

      Yes he should have get max GOE for 100% perfect 3A in first half +4.00 and in the second half +4.40. And also he should have get +4.75 for perfect 4T, +4.85 for perfect 4S, and +5.25 for perfect 4Lo... Yes his GOEs were much lower than it should be.

    • @ProYuzuEra
      @ProYuzuEra Месяц назад

      At Beijing SP, he did the most difficult 3A (one arm folded) landing into twizzle, into allusion, into sit spins, and got only +2.63 GOE, while max GOE for 3A in the 2nd half is +4.40, he ticked all the GOE buIIets, yet only +2.63 GOE, while Uno got +3.20 GOE for simple 3A. And now (after Lakernik's interview to R sport) it's clear why his GOE were much lower than it shouldn't be.

      That 3:30 3A in the second half deserved max +3.00 GOE and 4CC 3A deserved max +4.40 GOE... they just did not want him to cross 111 barrier... 113 was reserved only for fed$ "new star" that's why they never gave him the points he actually deserved.

    • @Patriotic-chenbot
      @Patriotic-chenbot Месяц назад +1

      I$U vice president Lakernik has explained in interview why they underscored Brian Orser's student, he clearly said they had to stop Hanyu from winning and breaking more WR after GPF 2015 b/c they wanted NEW STARS, that's why they PUSHED Hanyu to quit & retire, that's why he started getting lots of 0 +1 +2 GOE and false calls for perfect elements, and never got +5 across the board for 100% perfect jumps, spins, stsq, chsq. It's a shame that NEW STARS got higher GOE for empty jumps, mediocre skating skills, invalid sit spins, poor quality stsq and chsq

  • @killbethy
    @killbethy 3 года назад +30

    I bet Yuzu could actually land a 4A if he allowed himself the little bits of pre-rotation and UR on the landing that other skaters tend to use in their more technically difficult jumps. But, nope. If Yuzu ever lands a 4A, you can bet it will be with textbook perfect form (or better) just like he does with his 3A and... pretty much of all his jumps lol.

    • @ppnexus2000
      @ppnexus2000 2 года назад

      Pre-Rotation? On an axel... and landing UR isn't something you "allow" it just happens. The only 4A's that Yuzu HAS landed were all downgraded. So he is "allowing" himself that UR on the landing.
