Whether they make pennies or billions, what defines a capitalist is their role in the exploitation of labor & not the fruits of said-labor. While Steve makes a lot of money off of the artists he works with, he doesn't patent or control what he helps produce after his end of the job is fulfilled, nor does he directly own/control any capitalist establishment (to my knowledge & understanding). His studio is his personal property, he charges a flat-fee for services rendered without exploitive contracts, and he cooperates with the artists - refusing to meddle with their vision or tell them how their records should sound, following their lead through every step of the process, and remaining as faithful to their vision as he can. He's literally as anti-capitalist in practice as anyone in a producer role can be.
