PLEASE put all your remedies in a book.🙏🙏🙏. I know a lot of people that would purchase it!
My dad put a piece of liquorice and one or two senna pods in a glass and filled it with hot water then let it stand for ten minutes then drank tthe liquid he said it kept him regular and that was very important for health .
I can personally attest to the positive benefits of DGL for humans 😊. In July I became suddenly and violently ill (vomiting everything I ate, every time I ate). Went to the doctor 3 times, blood and urine labs done - all came back good. I couldn't work due to being weak from lack of fuel. Long story short... I did my research and started a regimen of DGL, honey/aloe/mint tea, and graphite 😲. If I hadn't I'd be dead from starvation. Dropped 20 lbs in two weeks waiting for the medical people to guide me. Having an egd performed in a couple weeks- I expect them to see a fully healed ulcer! I really appreciate your efforts Dr. Jones.
Thanks
Thank you sooo much. I inherited my dad’s almost 17 year old Lahasa apso mix. She has a terrible skin allergy with a weird skin inflammation and probably a yeast infection. I am so happy to find your videos as I really did not want to give her apoquel. Bathing has helped but now I will try beta sistosterone and golden paste. Praying it works. She is such a good girl. I just want to make her happy and healthy and comfortable. Thank you so much for all of your content!
Did it work ?
Dr Jones, you are my favorite vet by far. Thank you for everything you've done for all us fur parents
I got h. pylori and used an herbal tea to cure it when the antibiotics didn't work. One of the ingredients was licorice root, so I wonder if that was the reason. Amazing stuff nature has to offer us. I suffered for 4 months and then drank 2 cups of tea one day and my symptoms disappeared. I was so incredibly thankful.
I started using pure licorice juice pellets for training as they're low calorie and work well for anxiety. Good for high intensity training sessions as it virtually doesn't break a fast barely. He loves the taste too. We share them when we go brave the world together
I love your channel and I have learned so much. I have two minipoodles and one licks his feet and groin area constantly and has since he was little. We have tried absolutely everything on him. The only thing that works 100% is prednisone and we can’t have him in that for long periods. The licorice sounds very promising and something I am going to try. Thanks again. 😀
Welcome
Very valuable information! Thank you! 👍
Welcome
Ty as always. Shared.
Licorice root is one of the ingredients in the herbal allergy aid tincture that I give my dog. It helps with the allergy hacking and reverse sneezing!
Nice

Are you taping this on a DSLR type of camera? I feel like the lens you’re using isn’t meant for video as the autofocus motor is making noise. Ours probably better for still photography
So how do we feed licorice root? Just drops straight in their mouth?
I have 380mg DGL capsules? What’s the recommended dosage for a 27 lb dog
How can I use the powder form of licorice for skin allergies and cough ?
Hi, thank you for this info! Soooo sooo helpful. I have licorice root from herb pharm, but just saw that it has alcohol, she’s only 3.5lb chihuahua. Do I need to find alcohol free? Thanks again Dr.:)

Hi doc what’s the best natural remedy for folliculitis in dogs?
Staph skin infection- can be hard to treat naturally. Honey orally, topical coconut and dilute tea tree oil
Hello..do you have a link on the glycerin-free licorice tinture? I can't find one. Thanks!
Your dog is funny, standing on the table, rear-end facing the camera, however continues to look back at what you are up too.
Do you not hear that creaking noise?
sounds like the auto focus on the camera
Have you heard about the sweetener Xylitol killing dogs who ingest even small amounts? And that some peanut butters and breads etc have this sweetener?
What brand Licorice tincture do you use ?
I see that DGL capsules have dosages for humans, how do we determine dosage for dog weight? I have a 5lb. yorkie that I would like to try using DGL. Thank you.
Hi- 5-10 mg twice daily. It is 1-2mg/lb
Thank you.
What is best to use for a cat with Feline FIV. My cat has allergies, asthma, and FIV. He's not currently on a daily steroid. I give it sparingly because of the HIV. If there was something natural I could give him to help all of these ailments that would be great.
Louisa Verhaart Thanks!
Hi Terri- so hard to treat, but you can consider: probiotics, colostrum, CBD/THC
Veterinary Secrets Thank you! I do give him a probiotic daily along with lysine. I'll look up your other suggestions. Thank you for replying.
Good information! Thank you. But what is that really distracting creaking sound?!
Autofocus
My 9 lb Bichon Frise has had lip inflammation on the corners of his mouth for one year. The inflammation on one side is very swollen. He also lost all the black pigmentation on his lips and around one eye. He has been on several rounds of prednisolone 5mg, 25 cyclosporine 25mg, with probiotic proviable-dc, and antibiotics. No change. Other than the inflammation he behaves normally but he does have episodes of pain. I do not know what to do now. I live in Los Angeles, Calif., should I try this?
my dog has been vomitting bile and saliva I took her to the vet they gave sulcrate. She didnt vomit a week and thenstarted again, Should bloodwork or ultasound be done. I need to change vets as they were not helpful. I am going to try licorice root but I didnt see the link for the DGL and was wondering about that. I am also not sure if its acid reflux but defintely stomach issues. She is 8 years old but never had vomitting issues before. Any advice would be great. I will look for the DGL. Thanks for your great advice! I love your channel!
Hi and Thanks. Another good option to consider is slippery elm at 400mg/20lbs once-twice daily. I have been using it myself for something similar and finding it works great
Also look at digestive enzymes for dogs. I have one I sprinkle on my dogs food including a bee pollen chewable supplement for my dog.
@@VeterinarySecrets Thanks for the info luckily her problem resolved but I will try this next time.

Hey there, I have a query about using essential oils in humidifiers. I want to use one with citronella essential oil in it but I'm worried it could cause harm to my dogs and cats. Any advice on this?
It is safest via a small amount in a humidifier ( ie 10 drops/cup of water)

My dog tends to have seasonal allergies. She gets watery eyes, itchy skin, & licks her paws a lot. I was thinking, since local honey is known to help with some allergies in people, does it work the same in dogs?

No, they need antibacterials
