hi mate hope you reply i'm looking at getting a compressor with xmas i'm currently looking at the parkerbrand 50L 9.3CFM [Around 5.6 FAD im guessing XD not stated] around £150 budget. Do you think this would be ok with something like the fastmover spray gun ? i'm only spraying small bits biggest part would be a whole rear quarter panel on a bmw e46 cheers
Hi mate what do you think of the phorpis 717 1.3 are there where the money are there up there with the SATA jet x5500 and sagola did you get a base coat paint gun and a clear coate gun
Hi Paul, superb review there mate and this is the sort of review that will get Porphis on the map to give them the recognition that they deserve as the finish you got from the base looked really silky smooth, as for the clearcoat WOW!! I mean WOW!! what an incredible finish👏👌 As you know I had the PRD 715 and 625 on loan and they were both great guns but did you find the 717 with the split tip slower than the 715 mate? the split tip tech often makes the gun slower due to the extra atomisation and better finish you get from them, I find my WS400 S2 slow for a 1.3 but the finish I get is totally worth it😁 I've been toying with the idea of a new gun lately but not sure which to get, there is the ANI Skull, the new 4600 or the PRD715 but I just can't make my mind up🤔🤷♂👍
Thanks mate, oh I do love a new gun. I didn't think the 717 was slow, maybe because my split Nozzle walcom geo is a 1.2 and the 717 is a 1.3. That said I might be slightly slower than the 715. But not by a lot. The ani is a great idea for a gun, they are really good and don't get much recognition either.
@abcardenas35 only 1 plastic seal in the back of the fluid tip, like sata. Everything is machined metal. I've had mine for 6 months now and they are perfect olie olie paintz left his in gun wash for a week and they were fine and porphis also sell all spare parts so I was confident to buy them.

Are you doing a drop coat? If so what pressure with that gun?
There are bad ass guns and they are perfect for the custom painters. Great video and God bless you.

Hi Phil I'm thinking of buying a few of these guns, did you not get charged duty and tax when it came into the country ?
Sorry for the delay, I didn't but you may get charged. Unfortunately it's just one of those things with uk imports.

Yeah I always like it when a new gun is on it's way even if it's a budget one, I'll give it some thought but I'm leaning towards the 715😎👍

Does it have plastic seals

Very good videos!!! Which gun you use for basecoat prd 715 or 717?
@rafaelberrios6859 Thank you Rafael, 715 for base and 717 for clear. Both are 1.3
Wink wink😊
😜😜
Dont see lvlp in a 1.3
@sll-tt6bj I just had a look, lvlp is only in 1.0mm or 0.8mm. Do you need lvlp specifically? (Smaller compressor?)
@@paulphillipspaintwork my compressor puts out 8.5 cfms at 40 psi but of course when you lower the pressure on the gun the cfms go up
@@sll-tt6bj fastmover make a good lvlp spray gun. I have made a video about one I bought. I'll leave an amazon link to the gun.
