That third image... holy crap, that's awesome! These cams are really hard to find as you already stated out but I got a 120 SW instead of it which is quite similar beside the lens. I'm really looking forward for it to arrive and shoot some rolls of film through it 🤙🏻
Hey, so they images have to be scanned at a lab, or you can do it at home. But it's essentially taking a digital photograph of the film negatives to get a digital image file. Hope that makes sense, I'd recommend if you're new to shooting film that you shoot a roll then send it to a lab that will take care of the process for you :) If you're in America, I would recommend 'The Dark Room'. If you're in Britain I recommend a lab called 'Exposure Film Lab'. Both of these give you incredible results and email you your digital film images! Good luck getting into film
I found an Espio 145M Super for $3 at my thrift store. Great deal for a good quality camera. I mean the batteries cost 5x more than what I paid for the camera! Anyways, great video and examples.
hey Ik I’m not bro lol but not a stupid question because your shots can come out a lot differently from each setting. I’d say google search them or if you’re bored and have time and the funds experiment with each setting! Hope I helped if at all!
Found this camera at my parents house recently and finished the last half of the film, so I’m really excited to see what the first half contains.. once I’ve finished to I press or hold the tiny button with the film+rewind icon??
I had this one too!! When your pentax runs out of battery, what will it look like, is there anything displayed on the screen? Help me answer this question, im literally a beginer
I scored one of these second hand and brought it on a trip to japan with me. I couldn't for the life of me, even after referencing the manual online, what the display symbols meant. I honestly think mine is busted in some way, because nothing on my display screen is the same as the examples I found online, aside from the picture symbols. All the numbers and letters that come up don't match anything I've seen. For example, when I press the flash button, some of the things that show up are "7E 00:69", "85 0 48", "FP 22 43". Did you have this issue at all?
Hey thanks for reaching out, that sounds like a really strange issue. It sounds like the electronics are out a little, which happens a lot with old film cameras. But I imagine that it will still work fine, just the usual symbols don't display. For me it was only ever symbols, no text. But just try and make a mental note how many times you click the flash button, so for example. If pushing the button 3 times turns off flash (just an example can't remember how many times it is haha) then look at what code it is and try and remember it. I own another camera with a similar problem, I just learnt how many clicks I need every time I reset the camera to get to either no flash or red eye etc. Hope that long response helps in some way! I'm sure you'll get some great shots, it's a great lens
was this ever resolved or did it turn out to just be an issue of fried electronics? i recently found my grandma's old one and it has a similar issue with the display.
Hi! I have this camera and I love it but i'm not quite sure how to use the features on the front-- theres a button for flash but when I press it more than once an eye will come up on the screen, then if i do it again a little moon so I'm guessing dark mode? Would you mind just telling me how these features work because i'm a major beginner but love this camera and want to use it as well as I can. Thanks so much!
Hi, I‘ve been shooting for quiet a time now and I had the same problem when I was you. The moon is perfect when you wanna use it at night when there is now light and the eye mode is when you want to shoot a potrait without the person having red eyes
@@KhangNguyen-bt5nl hey! i'm also on the same boat, i just got this camera and not sure how the features work. So for the moon, i noticed there's a moon option without flash, and a moon option with flash...when is the best time to use either of those?
Maybe this is a stupid question but how does the digitalization process work afterwards? I love the images you made! I am very curious. Thank you in advance.
It's was Ektachrome 100iso slide film and Ilford HP5. In terms of what I'd recommend I'd say Fujifilm Superia 400 or Kodak Ultramax 400, really good affordable options. As good quality as more expensive film, good luck!
Hey hey, amazing to hear you got the camera and I'm sure you're going to love the start of your journey shooting film! There's quite a few films that are great for starting, I would suggest any of these as they're more affordable. Fujifilm Superia 400, Kodak Ultramax 400 or Kodak Colorplus 200. These are all 35mm film. It's really simple with the Espio 140V, just put them roll in, pull it along, close the back then it will wind the film on itself and be ready to shoot :) if you need anymore advice or help just give me a shout!
I brought this one from thrift shop here in canada for 14$ and i don't think it's working so i had to buy a new battery and i'm lucky because its working hahahaha
lies! these things are mad expensive because people are finding out it's a good camera. they're going for over 130$ nowadays 😁 lucky me, I got mine for cheap
I found a local guy on the market selling over 20 film cameras for $30. I was so thankful that he even offered to help me work my way through it since I’m not so familiar with film.
3:31 “When it takes a picture, it’s quite loud”
*Takes a picture*
Silence.
I think I heard a sound.
Might have been the sound of silence, though...
;)

Thanks for the review :) just found one of these at my local thrift for $3 usd and am psyched!
No problem! Woahh that is a steal, happy you managed to find one of these gems for so cheap :) enjoy shooting it
just found this camera in a drawer :) Really helpful video! Thanks
love this, very honest and just what a review should be. Thanks.
Do you know how to make it so it tells you how many photos you have left on the roll? Mine always says 01
this is a dumb question but how do people transfer photos from their film photos onto their phone?

hey! this is a stupid question, but what is the difference between the different flash options? i believe theres bulb, auto, fill, and night. thanks!

Hi there, is this camera better than the Pentax mini?
I had this one too!! When your pentax runs out of battery, what will it look like, is there anything displayed on the screen? Help me answer this question, im literally a beginer
Just one question - can the flash be disabled? And if so, do you have to disable it every time you power it on (like the Mju series)
Yes - but you have to do it every time you turn the camera on - like the mju. It's a nice little camera.
Do you know how to adjust the date feature for this camera??
my mom gave me hers and i've been trying to figure out the same ;(

You just scan them with a regular photography scanner
