Sorry to hear that Danyella. I've been on a bad run since 2014 - my Mum dying, some marital problems, a major termite infestation, car problems, medical problems with both kids, a huge drop in income since the pound collapsed after the 2016 Brexit vote, etc etc. I thought this year would be better, but Covid has killed the economy and the pound is still very weak (I live abroad so I am very susceptible to exchange rates). Maybe next year will be better? It has got me down at times, but never give up. Remember it's not just you. Everyone goes through rough patches and everything goes in cycles. I've a strong feeling that my bad run of luck will end very soon. 27 (Jack?) is an honest man and he doesn't use social media to paint an imaginary false picture of life. Ian Tyrrell could sort out the bodywork I"m sure, as could MotoTechnique in Surrey, once you pull those panels off it usually reveals other things that need to be addressed in the vicinity. As for the exhaust, it seems like you are almost back to where you started with a single pipe, a Tubi twin pipe would I think provide what you are looking for but at a price, bout 1800 quid I think....and the wing badges..I like them, they look good on a 308.

Mate, I nearly cried when you panned the camera to the damage :-( Heart breaking for sure but as has been mentioned, good on you bud for 'warts an all' and hopefully others can learn. Keep up the great(ish) work! :-D

I feel your pain: great attitude in sharing the story though. Remember it could have been so much worse.
Years ago I jacked up my car on my dads newly (cheaply) resurfaced drive. Finished what I was doing and couldn't get out - the jack and axle stands has sunk into the tarmac....nobody else at home, thought I was going to be slowly juiced until luckily my dad came back.
In my home town not long back, a poor guy drove his car up onto the kerb to get underneath to look for a suspension knock, as he vigorously bounced the car he managed to bounce it off the kerb and died after his head was crushed.
I am always extremely nervous about getting under cars but if it does go wrong and only the car is damaged try and look upon it as a win!!
Best of luck with sorting it and bad luck on the speeding: we have all had days like that.

Ouch! Deep sympathy! And brave of you to share. I once narrowly escaped damaging all three of my vehicles with one careless act, and it took me days to get over it. New shock bushes (or even new shocks) should fix the floatiness.

Could almost feel your pain. Please try not to give yourself too much of a hard time, stuff happens in life and you still have a beautiful car! Not doubt you'll get it sorted to perfection and can 'nod' to yourself in satisfaction & contentment once more. Good luck with it all friend.

Uuuugggghhhhhhhh sorry to hear about the damage. Those kinds of accidents are the absolute worst, I know exactly how you were feeling. Good luck on the repairs.
The new exhaust is better with the single tip to match the cutout in the body.
Stickers I could go either way on, not bad.

My heart goes out to you on the jack Failure, but so glad you weren't under the car when it slipped! It's just a panel, and a good body shop can sort it for you. Glad you removed the front spot lights (we call them "Fog lights" on this side of the pond), and I personally like the Fenders Stickers (although I think I will add the thicker "Emblem" style to mine in due time). Anxiously awaiting when you tackle the bushings, as I know I will be doing that to mine sometime soon also. Glad to hear you are sorting things out one by one! You're an inspiration!

I feel gutted for you Jack, could see the genuine sinking feeling on your face but applaud your honesty, I see you were more upbeat the next day.
I recently, whilst lowering the car of axel stands had one to near the car and put it into the sill, so annoying to make a stupid yet simple mistake and your not the only one out there to do it.
Hopefully you’ll get the damage sorted soon, and keep the videos coming please.

I think many of us feel your pain.
What a dreadful moment. In the grand scheme of things it could have been alot worse. I'm confident you'll get it fixed up good as new.
Re: the prancing horse badge on the wing, it would be great to see a before and after shot as a comparison.
What matters is how you like it.
(For me, quad tips would be worth the extra effort 😊)
Hope you get the exhaust sounding the way you want.
What struck me about this video is just how epickly pretty the 308 is.
Looking forward to your next update.
Stay strong and try to enjoy the journey. 👍

Gutted for you; reminded me of a time a gate fell over onto my Dad's pre-war MG and dented the body work. Awesome of you to share your mistake; hope it gets sorted soon. Oh and it looks much much nicer without the spots; cleaner lines and I'm 50/50 on the side stickers which I thought I was going to love.

I feel your pain over the slipped jack and body work damage, but at least you weren't injured when it happened. I'm a Jag enthusiast and have written on some of the Jaguar forums for some 18 years. I've known two fellow listers die, yes dead, in accidents where cars they were working on dropped on them. One widow bravely wrote to the entire forum in the hope that her letter would serve as a warning to others. Absolute tragedy.
    Have fun but work safe.

Just want to say I feel your pain, had the same experience with my RS3100, had only finished the restoration 3 days before. Have you got a good body shop that you use? Good video, and thank you for sharing the pain with us. I think the stickers are a must, look awesome as well as the numberplate.
