@@PhaseShifter From my experience yes, but I wouldn't be able to tell you how many are needed, I'd say at least 5 which already cuts your total rests by a lot, so I'd do a whole "hunt train" when possible and try killing every big enemy possible before resting, specially dullahans which are a pain in the normal world
@@NewSorpigal1 The gigantus spawns from the sea in front of the broken bridge from the volcanic island as you saw on the cinematic at the lasts quests of the campaign, if you defeated it before it got to the volcanic island camp (where the thermal waters are) he should have"died" and kneeled right in front of it and remained there motionless until you end the game, however when you walk near him while on the unmoored world he gets activated again leading to a couple cutscenes, you have nothing to do, just sit and watch
You can just kill your own pawn and summon him again for full health so in theory you can stay as long as you want ( after some time there isn't much to do)

couple things to help people out. allheal elixers will bring your health bar back to full so you can keep exploring without resting to restore your health bar. also if you want a preserved madusa head, go to the cave as a warfarer. use magic archer ability to sleep, then a melee weapon to take the head off. I have been playing my play through pretty much warfarer magic archer for ricochet hunter, and some range attacks and anything else using daggers.
The dwarven smiting quest begins when you talk to a guard called Roman at Vernworth Castle. He gives you a sword to he reforged. Go to the blacksmith in Bakhbattal and then follow the quest as it plays out! Thanks for the great content and advice on Endgame. I've just started it with no much gold so already at a disadvantage it seems! 😢
I think you can actually get it from two separate questlines and the one you've suggested is the better choice because it gives a discount! Yeah, the gold thing can be a real issue! Really glad you're enjoying the content and thank you for the support!
Thank you for this video. I hadn't even realized until this point (since I'm always all about spellcasting in fantasy games) that you can advance all the Vocations you're not playing just for their Augments, and then slot some of those in to create a nuanced build of what you do want to play. So HELPFUL! I do wish I had found out about the differing upgrade styles before now though. I just thought the different styles changed what each vendor wanted in terms of materials. I didn't catch the description that stated each type will focus the upgrade differently in terms of stats.
No worries! Really glad it's helped. That's the thing DD, it doesn't explain much! It took me a while in the first game to figure that exact thing out too!
Why? Just why? Why did they have to implement a timer for endgame? I hate time limits so much. Why can't I play endgame on my own pace? That's exactly why I was waiting to kill the end boss. Imagine getting effed over and being locked out of quests because you kill the boss. Who thought that would be fun?
I was just following main quest and got jumped straight into this hellish looking thing... I was thinking i had one more area to explore and quest in so i could get the magic archer and warfare abilities before proceeding. Well, i got to unlock magic archer at least, but no warfarer or any of their master skills was possible to get. Im thinking about starting the game over from the begining and just rush the main story, ignoring all sidequests and just pick all the classes up so i can level them and get the loot for them in NG+.I would just focus on getting all the specialisation stuff for my pawns and try to not loot any imba weaponry... I heard that there are different endings? Is there any way on skipping this area entirely, and restart the game quicker? Also, if you save all the jaspers and onyx gems, you can get the higher price from each kind of merchant when they are gathered in the center. Higher price locked to vendor, not the area they are in. NG+ is simply too easy with max vocations and all the upgraded items since it doesn't raise the enemy difficulty. No fun running around and one shotting everything.
I managed to beat endgame with just maxed Fighters' vocation. Once you understand the mechanics of endgame, it isnt that hard if you have decent weapons and armor coming in. I struggled for the first 2 to 3 hours and then destroyed all the beacon bosses after I got the Dragons Dogma sword. I then got all the armor and best weapons for my pawn by then end. Easy peasy. This guy came in way over prepared lol.
You can absolutely do it with next to no augments, dd1 was the same. If you're mechanically sound it's no problem. The point of this video is if you want to diversify your character and make a range of different builds you're better suited to level up in campaign
So what quest starts the endgame? Basically what quest should I completely avoid? I really want to explore everything and do all missions first, or should I do endgame for the gear and weapons, if I do endgame after getting gear/weapons does it start all over again? Quests? Story? So I can dominate with the true beat gear and weapons?🤔
I'm not sure for certain, but i've heard it's `a new godsway` that's atleast the quest im sat on 80 hours in and i'm still exploring. Like you say i want to make sure i've done everything possible beforehand.
You know what I think it's funny when these games are being designed and they're not being designed with the idea that people will share information or look up RUclips videos for everything so when people are bashing these games they're not taking that into account and they're consuming content at a pace that the developers are probably not anticipating or are not crafting the game for. The end game was probably meant to be experienced multiple times across many playthroughs because most people wouldn't be able to figure out how to actually properly do everything in one go yes it's an action RPG but the game wasn't long in the first place because they had intended for you to play it again and again and again unlike other RPGs with new game plus you might play it just because I want to experience it again but this game was designed for you to go to New game Plus and do it again and maybe find out something that you might have missed before or whatever.so the way the endgame is designed some people might think it's too short or too small or something but literally it's the whole world map changed and you have a limited amount of time to get through it and they probably just again thought that people would experience the in-game multiple times before the experience and everything but thanks to RUclips and the internet and everything you can complete everything in one go before you even go to your first New game Plus. And that is why people think the game is short or missing content but I feel like the people who feel like that literally blitzed through the content and I've seen it happen with multiple games it's a small minority that are blitzing through the game when it releases and then complains when the majority probably don't even have enough time to get past the first I want to say 8 hours within a week. And I think a lot of people forget that the average gamer is not getting through the game as quickly as as hardcore gamers because they have lives and stuff and they don't create these games geared towards those who are going to blitz through all the content within the first 48 hours
I think you raise a really really good point and it's definitely something I have to remind myself sometimes when I'm hammering a game. I'd say it's the "hardcore" gamers who go in blind and figure things out for themselves and the "casual" gamers who look on RUclips for the quickest way to get through a game and clear all trophies/achievements, so they can beat it before it stops "trending" and move onto the next game.

I just wish Capcom did something more for NG+ because after beating the game, NG+ is just way too damn easy. "creating my own difficulty" also is kind of stupid in my opinion because why the hell am I eliminating key mechanics and features from the game, to try and enjoy the game.... that sounds ridiculous... It would be nice if they had a difficulty increase option and raised the enemies stats or something.
When I played it I got I think 6 days, cuz I was excited to get there but got my checks slapped so I slept through it and failed the quest to evacuate everyone, game started over and now I'm back for more endgame now that I'm prepared to kick ass

You definately do get them for just 3 books, i had all of them but wanted to save a couple just incase, as long as you give the forgeries to the guy and not the little girl you will be good, The guy speaks to you again afterwards and gives you maelstrom, and the little girl you have to rest, come back, stop her going crazy then rest and come back again and she gives you meteoron and then speak with the gran after to get the celestial pean for the mage 👍
they really should've added crazier bosses, and mobs to the game. I guess more of a go big kinda thing, we know capcom is capable of doing such things, and maybe the bosses are tougher with more dramatic music? and bring the into the free dangan theme song back that can only be found on the OG dragon's dogma? idk just some ideas.
Is it just me or was the whole Queen Reagent thing just kinda dropped? You see Phaseus or however you spell his name but the Queen is just never mentioned again toward the end of the game. (I haven’t gone into the unmoored world yet so idk if she’s there)
I’m blazing through end game man, magick archer just effs everything up when you got a nice team make up. By end game u got enough resources and just use all-heal elixirs instead of resting and you’ll get through it all before you run out of rests.
There are port crystals that spawn near all the important places you need to evacuate in the end game so the placement of your port crystals dont really matter and all depend on what you want to do, i would suggest putting one in the volcanic island village though, theres a lot of stuff you have to do near there
endgame seems a little disappointing compared to the first game.. no community boss like the Ur-dragon, no gameplay loop like everfall or bbi and they slap us with a timer on top of things..
Tip number 4 is not necessary. I got all the endgame gear for me and my main pawn just doing the end game stuff. Only had like 20 of the crystals before going into endgame.
This game was so short like wtf??? Traveled to a town and did 5 quest at the same town, and then went in a cave, found a sword, deliverd the sword killed a big statue and a dragon and now im finished?? Like wtf
I'm 54+ hours and only going into desert. And also have soooo many plans and things to do. So it's like Zelda where you can either spend +- 3 hours or 300 hours. :)
Can we even farm when it seems that the numbers of item of a kind in storage is 99 for stuff you put in. If you need 230 wyrm crystal. Thats only 198. 99 in storage and 99 on your self or do I need my pawns to lug around the rest?
I don’t understand why all the videos don’t tell you about the second dragon in the endgame that when you get on his back, he likes flames. He uses every type of magic on you I died. I end up starting all over because of that because I kept going back, why don’t you guys ever explain about the second dragon
@Ryan-su6zv If you beat all 5 bosses at the red beacon areas, the last one will appear at the seabed town. Once that happens, the red fog will not advance when you sleep and you have infinite time to farm items and rest as needed.
It's already been tested, if you you leave the last beam light that triggers the cutscene, you still don't have unlimited time. It's misinfo that has been spreading. Sleeping will still eventually trigger cutscenes and force you to head towards NG+. There is no way to get infinite time. But guys, why would you want infinite time anyways? Once you have cleared the beams what left is there to do? Just think about it for a sec you already cleared the peak content. Are you going to farm drakes to get better gear to... farm more drakes? Move on lol
Did you say 230 crystals to buy everything 😞 bro I maxed out my storage and have my pawn hauling around 500 in her inventory thinking everything would cost at least 100 a piece 😑
I wasn't getting it to work. Evacuated all the towns and was spending time forging materials for upgrades. Eventually out got to a point where I couldn't rest because the beacon that spawns will make the clouds overtake that area if too much time passes.

@@PhaseShifter I find the game just too easy overall. Where’s the “extra damage when solo” augment to encourage no pawns like DD1? Maybe it’s because I’m a better gamer now than I was when DD1 came out, but as good as the combat is, I dont feel like it’s much of a challenge. I was really hoping for something LIKE the Ur Dragon, but nope.
I think you're absolutely right, from very early on I was just walking through enemies with the thief. Granted that is a bit of an easy mode class and playstyle but I think your statement completely holds true. There's no hard mode and no way to add additional layers of challenge. @@PhaseShifter I have all vocations to max, thief is OP, Fighter was my least favorite - but even still, it’s not difficult. I’m hoping for something to add more longevity to the game. There’s nothing like BBI, Everfall, or Ur in DD2, so it makes me worry about the games longevity
Not much of an endgame lol. I've done everything in this post-game and it took about 5 hours. Don't be tricked into thinking there is a lot of content here. There isn't. There is no BBI equivalent in this game. You destroy the 4 beams and evacuate the towns, and all of the good gear is just bought from Dragonforged or other shops. No cool loot to be found. This video might be a bait for those who haven't reached this content yet. Edit: Yes I can understand that there a few unique pieces of gear found in post-game, but they are negligible in stat upgrades if they are even upgrades at all compared to the WLC/Gold Vendors. Even if there was amazing gear to be found out there, the "bosses" available don't require anything like that. I'm sorry but after I've completed the content, I'm not going to run through NG+ to search the seabed for a new helmet. Some of your arguments are wack. I understand that I was sort of wrong about "no cool loot to be found", but it honestly doesn't deter from the point of the end-game being weak.
To be fair, base Dragons Dogma 1 also had no cool loot really aside from the stuff you got from the Ur Dragon. I'm sure there will be a BBI esque expansion for this game. Despite that, I still enjoyed this endgame. It was more challenging than the ever fall in the first game.
I agree with you, I'm not feeling the endgame at all. I didn't want this video to be a bait, rather arming people with the info needed which was why I said delay as much as possible!
there is cool looking armor pieces specific to this place only, dropped from drakes specifically in the unmoored world, thief pawns with plunder skill equipped can snatch them easily, spread the word

@@stealthninja4195 yeah, that's the only way i was gonna get eldricute cause spectres just wouldn't spawn for me.
What the… wow good thing I saw this video
Glad it's been helpful!
Informative video, thx. Get some chapters in here next time too.
I will do that now. Thanks for the reminder! Glad you found it helpful! Appreciate the support!
also there is wyrmfire for a 5th style of smithing
You're right! I hadn't even considered it!
can you back out from end game if you accidentally entered the end game?
Only if you didn't save at an inn I believe.
You don't have to climb to its belly. You can do it from its back. You're stabbing yourself.
I’m blazing through end game man, magick archer just effs everything up when you got a nice team make up. By end game u got enough resources and just use all-heal elixirs instead of resting and you’ll get through it all before you run out of rests.
The mage and sorcerer mission for the books each only 3 books and 1 of the 5 books has 2 copies so you dont need any dupes unless you want to
What happens if i do not complete all the town evacuations before time is up?
For some reason the video is so dark I can't see it.
That's weird 😕
I went into the endgame at level 100, and it was a breeze...
You kind of skipped the most important thing on the checklist which would be where to place your portcrystals for the endgame.
There are port crystals that spawn near all the important places you need to evacuate in the end game so the placement of your port crystals dont really matter and all depend on what you want to do, i would suggest putting one in the volcanic island village though, theres a lot of stuff you have to do near there
Don't sell all your jasper etc. Some are used for enhancement upgrades.
endgame seems a little disappointing compared to the first game.. no community boss like the Ur-dragon, no gameplay loop like everfall or bbi and they slap us with a timer on top of things..
I'm frustrated by it too!
Wait this whole time I've been in your server and I haven't even been subscribed 😂
Haha! There is always time! Thank you for the support! :)
Basically, Everfall undefeated. Now we wait for the DLC attempt to not be an experimental flop. Base game is good though.
I seen that you can fight the dragon first then when durning the end scene you can go back in time and then stab yourself is that true?
yes
Just talk too the pathfinder twice during the end credits
Does everyone know that the magic archers husband is also a Dwarf blacksmith?
Has anyone else mostly died via fall damage 😢.
It's got me a few times in endgame. Huge rage!
Like wtf
someones only play the main story
I'm 54+ hours and only going into desert. And also have soooo many plans and things to do.
So it's like Zelda where you can either spend +- 3 hours or 300 hours. :)
Can we even farm when it seems that the numbers of item of a kind in storage is 99 for stuff you put in. If you need 230 wyrm crystal. Thats only 198. 99 in storage and 99 on your self or do I need my pawns to lug around the rest?
You can have more than 99
@@jasonsmith8285 does the storage expand in ng+ cus right now the highest I can carry is only 99 on me and the storage
I don’t understand why all the videos don’t tell you about the second dragon in the endgame that when you get on his back, he likes flames. He uses every type of magic on you I died. I end up starting all over because of that because I kept going back, why don’t you guys ever explain about the second dragon
If you leave one light at the seabed area then you have infinite time to farm end game enemies.
what do you mean?
@Ryan-su6zv If you beat all 5 bosses at the red beacon areas, the last one will appear at the seabed town. Once that happens, the red fog will not advance when you sleep and you have infinite time to farm items and rest as needed.
is this true ive heard but is it confirmed?
im waiting to do endgame unless i know this is true
I think it’s 230 per vocation so you need 2300
Is it true that you can stay in the endgame forever as long as you dont trigger the last beacon that appears at the very end?
Apparently so, but I haven't tested yet!
I wasn't getting it to work. Evacuated all the towns and was spending time forging materials for upgrades. Eventually out got to a point where I couldn't rest because the beacon that spawns will make the clouds overtake that area if too much time passes.
@@CQchaos7474 I'm gunna test some methods when I get the chance. I think they need to change this system slightly, especially with the new save files we have. I want to be able to just hangout out in the endgame
@@PhaseShifter the ability to stay in endgame is something i like about the first game more. I also don't like how if you die during endgame you lose all the progress in it.
@@CQchaos7474 agreed! I'm hoping for some sort of BBI content
honestly id just rather restart with progress.... i did it once and im thinking of not going to endgame a second time
Same lol
Don’t sell your gems, they are needed for upgrades on gear
On the dragon forged stuff? 😮
@@PhaseShifteryes u need gems for some higher end upgrades later on in certain armors and weapons so I recommend not selling them
80hrs in,fk all the crying beeches lol
I’m bummed there isn’t a hard mode
The more I play, the more I'm finding a lack desire to jump back in. There needs to be more content at the end for sure
I even tried using some older non-upgraded daggers, it still feels insanely strong!@@jeremesmith9266
@@jeremesmith9266 same here. Also think that sorcerer is OP too. I was considering making a fighter build guide but I've bounced straight off it 😞
Not much of an endgame lol.
Edit:
Yes I can understand that there a few unique pieces of gear found in post-game, but they are negligible in stat upgrades if they are even upgrades at all compared to the WLC/Gold Vendors.
5 hours sounds like a lot to do, especially after killing the main boss imo.
I agree with you, I'm not feeling the endgame at all. I didn't want this video to be a bait, rather arming people with the info needed which was why I said delay as much as possible!
Did u get like all the armor and weapons ?
there is cool looking armor pieces specific to this place only, dropped from drakes specifically in the unmoored world, thief pawns with plunder skill equipped can snatch them easily, spread the word
lol. I’m 42 years old. Have a good job. Enjoy.
The reason I’m not buying this game because it’s not Online world game Like BDO openings word online it’s 2024😅crazy they made great looking rpg game like this just for one person😢.Online with friends or guild feature would of bin nice to
No, it’s good how it is. Thank god no multiplayer
ending is terrible and story is dog shit
Y life ?
Awww did someone kill the dragon and think that was the ending?
@@TwoK1lots of people are doing this. they did it in the first game too. soooooo many people think that once the credits roll, that it.
probably why so many are complaining about wanting to start a new game. they don’t even realize this exists.
@@mkv2718 Yep, like glorified pawns wanting to replay the same loop.
@@mkv2718 The fact you don't even see Dragon's Dogma 2 as the title until that point is the cherry on top of it all. The game is basically saying you haven't even played the game unless you made it here.
