- Although Atrus's journal implies Amateria is the Age of Dynamic Forces, there's a good case it could instead be called the "Age of Matter". "Materia" is the Latin word for "material", and the game's resource files refer to objects in this age under the label "Matter". Plus, the singular noun is more in line with the titles for the other two ages.
As a side announcement, I recently added submenus the realMYST DVD menu, so it feels much more complete now:

Ah, I appreciate your tone while playing these games. It fits the calm atmosphere rather than having someone yelling at a puzzle that they swore they "had the first time".
Amateria is the best age of them all! It has the best soundtrack, the most enjoyable puzzles as well as the funniest and most impressive ride at the end. Plus, your style of commentary nails it.
Amateria is a very beautiful age. I would consider it as Atrus's best work!
Anybody else catch that Shady went: "We can go right, and we can go left. Let's go left."
In realMyst, he faces the same path split when first entering the Mechanical Age, and he also said, "We can go right, and we can go left. Let's go left."
I really enjoy Amateria's theme :)

Ugly blend?! Don't diss Voltaic and its interesting mixture of features! I find it beautiful in its contrast. You can't deny the beauty of that ending, either. Amazing force at work!
(Oh, and to remark on Amateria itself, the marble track and the different sky effects are pretty awesome. Lightning!)
You're right. Also every world has its own principle like Atrus said. Voltaic isn't an ugly mix. Its principle is "Energy powers future motion.
I remember doing this counter-balance puzzle originally and it gave me fits. It took me forever to sort it out.
Me, too. It was only later that I noticed the scales in Saavedro's room that actually represent the relative weights to one another. By that time I had already solved the puzzle through empirical methodical (and tedious) work.

Ah, Amateria. The "Carnival age" as I call it. Favourite out of all three.

The rollercoaster world. The green water reminds me of fel water in "World of Warcraft: Legion" ( For the Alliance )
