This was nice that they re-did the model set’s of;Star Trek! Those were the day’s of;good,Hollywood entertainment! They can’t do it like ‘the early day’s’,anymore! It’s because,Hollywood has changed a lot since then! And,it’s true…..Hollywood does change with the time’s!
As a 53 year old life long Trekkie from England who knows he’ll never get to go and visit this incredible place, this is the next best thing. Many thanks.
This was excellent! Instead of just video, featuring still shots with so much detail was a great idea, especially comparing some of them with screenshots from TOS. And I had no idea that James Cawley's recreation was so complete. Fascinating... as Mr. Spock would say.
This was truly outstanding. While, I never cry ... this almost made me tear-up. Loved seeing both your photographs of the displays being matched with stills from the 1960's Start Trek TV show (smile...smile).
Thank you for the compliment. It was a very emotional experience being there. It truly effected my wife and I who just love the original series. Cawley's re-creation is so exact and detailed. We couldn't believe that we were actually on those sets. It felt as if we'd been there many, many times before.
It is in Ticonderoga, New York. It is a permanent exhibit. They host a big fan event there every August. These were the sets for a fan based series that used to film, but after CBS sued the Axanar production over IP infringement issues, CBS restricted ALL fan productions including this one.
Jet, first of all, no one is permitted to take video of the set because it is a violation of Mr. Cawley's legal agreement with CBS who owns the rights to Star Trek. Second, as my description of this video clearly states, this was our family trip to Ticonderoga to see the Star Trek sets, so naturally there are photos of us in it. If you don't like that, sorry, it is what it is!!
That was great to watch. I’d love to see that up close as it would bring back so many childhood moments. 👍🏴
Love it. With all that is going on in the world, it was great to get away even for just 13 minutes. I feel refreshed. Thanks!

Excellent presentation! Thank you for sharing your lovely voyage to the Enterprise with us!
Memories 😪❤
I thought it was the original sound stage where thy filmed "Star Trek: back in the 60's. But this recreation looks really great! 🚀 🌠 👽 🤗☮ 🌛 🌞
They used the original Desilu blueprints to build it. It cost about $300,000.
Great experience!
Super from Berlin
8:58 I never knew that extra spent time in Chekov's spot! He's usually a guard or occasionally at the engineering console.

@@emdee7744 good evening thank you for your answer, it’s super 👍
can anyone take the tour
Yes, anyone can take the tour. It's very reasonably priced and it exceeded our expectations!!
The clothes are original or replicas?
most are actual costumes used on the series. A few are replicas.
I came to see a video of the set, not a slide show where you sneak in a bunch of unnecessary images of you.
