Star Trek Continues really feels like Star trek original, costumes, behavior, especially spirit and excitement of original cast and serie. Thanks all acters , tehnical crew, writers, and everyone that did manage to give us this. Live long and prosper.
I am totally gobsmacked by what you have done. I have just discovered your work today. My wife and I have been Star Trek fans since we saw the first episode when it originally aired, I've seen many fan films and satire shows, but the attention to detail that you've done is stunning. Today is April 5, 2017, and you transported us back to 1966 when we were 20 years old, and just recently married. In 8 days we will celebrate our 51st anniversary Thank you for this amazing gift. What you are all doing is fantastic.
And now that Star Trek Continues is no more, I am really wondering what they are going to do with all of these wonderful sets! They should go on tour, or be installed in a museum or - in a perfect world - *be used in further STC episodes!* (Come on, CBS/Paramount, you can still have your _Star Trek Discovery_ if this is going on! No continuity or timeline problems whatsoever!)
The entire cast and volunteers are so dedicated. Many times when we watch each episode, we forget just how much time, money, and dedication goes into presenting the high quality videos. I am sure that countless man hours goes into each one. Although I would love to see a TV network pickup this series. I also realize once that happens, you lose your independence to take the series where you want. In closing, thank you for all your efforts. I know that your fans greatly appreciate it.
Very true. The cast and crew are so dedicated to this show. It truly is a great show and it lives up to the original series. Congratulations ''Star Trek Continues''. You have fulfilled Star Trek's destiny
The series should have been picked up by one of the TV networks. The whole cast was dedicated. Great writing and great acting. Thanks for your dedication and love of the show. You brought me many hours of enjoyment. Good bless you all.
I would like it, if there would be a German dubbing. But with skilled people. I found some other fan teleplay of star trek, where the dubbing appeared a bit too arrogant and artificial.
One funny thing is, would you show someone Star Trek Continues and Raumpatroulie Orion and tell, one is a fan project and the other a commercial production, people would guess wrong.
I was about to say the same thing: Attention to detail is just amazing. I like and really appreciate the fact that they don't try to "modernize" the show but to carry on what got started in the mid 60s. This series would not look out of place playing on NBC in the late 60s, early 70s...and that is a HUGE compliment! JW3HH
EVER SO COOL-! As a lonely kid, I used to study and drool over any and all of the original sets from the time Star Trek first came out in 1966. Now seeing these most expertly recreated -- or rather, perfectly cloned sets for STAR TREK CONTINUES ... well -- This tour was like being a kid in a candy factory ... AND ... THEN ... winning the Trek Lottery and getting the keys to Stage 9 at Paramount way back in the day ... and being able to wander the sets for as long as I wanted -- And now, thanks to the MAKERS of STAR TREK CONTINUES and the forever access of this video on the internet -- -- I can now see it all, up close & personal -- The corridors -- Engineering and glories of all glories ... be on The Bridge of the grand lady herself ... ... The U.S.S. ENTERPRISE. So ... BRAVO-! to Vic & all concerned who had the idea, the promise & the prayer to make STAR TREK CONTINUES become a reality. You made not only my day, my week and my month and upwards to the years from 1966 to 2016 to the forevers ... ... but you folks do it for the river of humanity of this fragile planet ... making the dream that is Star Trek ... Continue. BRAVO TWICE-!! D.A.
I am very impressed by the great attention to detail in the set construction and also the production values. Watching episodes it looks exactly like the TOS shot in the 60's. Vic and the rest of you guys are extremely talented people. Just fantastic work!
this was truly a labor of love and pride, you can see it in the faces of Vic and crew every time they get a gasp from everyone in the tour. They all did an amazing job honestly the best TOS fan production on RUclips, it was underhanded greed on the part of CBS to shut stuff like this down... I think Gene would have been flattered by the workmanship and commitment of the fans to do stuff like this.
@@j.a.stafford1617 Not formally, but CBS came out with written guidelines for fan productions that were very restrictive, and did not allow for the type of ongoing, full-length episodes that Star Trek Continues was producing. As a result, Star Trek Continues decided to wrap up their series to not get in trouble. Though they have said previously they had always planned ending the series at some point. I think that end date may have moved up a bit because of CBS. They produced 11 fantastic episodes, though, which are a real treasure.
Until the end of the 1970's, television had to be always compatible to monochrome TV sets. So the episode with the planet without color, wouldn't have been made in the 1960's.
I'd love to be able to travel from downunder to see this for real. The problem is that I know, full well, that I would collapse into tears if wandered through these sets. I can't explain why...I suppose it's because Star Trek holds such a dear place in my heart, me having first seen the show (when it was brand new) as a kid of six years of age. There are copious amounts of praise here (well deserved, for sure) for the guys and gals who built these new sets, their attention to detail, etc... but for me my praise goes to the whole crew and Vic for keeping the dream alive. Gene would have been honoured had he lived to see this. And the quality of the episodes has been nothing short of brilliant. All I can say is that you have managed to warm an old man's heart and for this, Vic, I truly thank you. One day I will visit the US again and I will make a beeline to the production unit. I just hope that CBS doesn't spit the dummy and try to shut these guys down. It would be like a communist government trying to close the Sistine Chapel forever. For me the reverence is that great. Well done you guys. Live long and prosper!
Guys you simple rock!!! You are the best of the best. What a gigantic effort you do on this. I just saw episode 5 "Divided we stand" and it blew my mind!!!! Keep it on guys and keep the spirit of the original series alive. Vic, you are the BEST playing Kirk, really yo studied the character perfectly!!!
I really love this series in some ways more than the original series and it's incarnations. I wish all the cast and crew all the best in their future endeavors and many blessings to everyone that made this series possible! Your all are the greatest!!! Thank You!!!
As a long-time fan of the original series, I found this video to be an incredible, stunning 'behind-the-scenes' look into the deep devotion that embraces each of the "STAR TREK CONTINUES" webisodes! With Vic Mignogna as the tour guide, it is the perfect showcase for the magic that gives the series its iconic appearance and semblance to the monumental TV legend that started it all! I sincerely wish Vic and the entire cast of "STAR TREK CONTINUES" all the best of success in their vision and to future installments of their landmark endeavors to keep 'Star Trek' alive for fans throughout the world! Thank You from a devoted 'trekkie!' And my sincere gratitude for sharing this fantastic tour of the gorgeous sets!!!!
This is one of the nerdiest, most beautiful things I've ever seen! I'm kinda jealous of ever person who gets the "door" experience and walks onto a lit set first.
I just discovered this series and I must confess that initially I thought it was corny. But, 30 minutes in I found myself captivated by the acting, the dialogue and the sets. Bravo! I can't wait to catch up on all of the episodes. (And this tour looks incredible.)
Yea when I first saw it ya know there was the first few minutes of episode one I was like, "That's not Kirk.. That's not Spok.." but about 15 minutes in i was just jaw dropped. "That's Kirk, That's Spok. That's Bones." They SOLD it. They made it their own but SOLD it so awesomely they sold it. By the second episode, I was like, "Yay!! More Star Trek episodes!!" And i've been binging it for days. Several of the episodes I watched a couple times in a row because life distractions here and there, and I just wanted to devour every scene, every moment, every line. I'm going to watch a couple more episodes AGAIN today while I'm working. It's Star Trek. I don't know what else to say! 😂🤣 💞💗💖💓💞
I’m not a Star Trek fan really, I’m not sure how I even got to this video. However, this is absolutely amazing. Incredible work and attention to detail. I hope someday your investment pays dividends.
This was all done on a "Kirkstarter" campaign as well as other donations and even personal money. It was a true labor of love. Unfortunately, the production could not profit from the episodes due to a Paramount lawsuit stating that anyone making fan fiction films based on Trek properties, could not make profit from doing so.
The entire set is fantastic, but when they showed the bridge, my heart skipped a beat. I hope that I come back again in another life to participate in something like Star Trek for real !!!!!
Thank you to the person who shot this video! You did a wonderful job of going where I would have wanted to go and doing close ups and pausing on things of great interest to me as if I were able to be there myself! You really did a great job! Thank you for really making a quality video for everyone to enjoy this truly remarkable experience!

Amazing attention to detail. I could easily watch this very fine upload every day for the rest of my life... And if I might respectfully disagree with Vic, no, the shuttle craft interior set isn't boring. But of course, when he's seeking to move everyone into that utterly astonishing recreation of the Enterprise engineering set, I can willingly cut him some slack... I envy the folks who actually got to see all of these sets in-person, but I remain vastly grateful that the event was so generously shared by Mr. Tate... Best wishes!
Awesome to see all this and learn so much about it, I took the virtual tours on the website but it's not the same as seeing the real thing, where we learn 3D printing, acetate printing and foam sculpture is an absolute godsend for such accuracy to detail. Was great to see behind the bridge set too. Great job guys, I'm so pleased this whole series exists, but I wish the copyright holders would just buy it already so we could get new TOS back on TV and own the box set.
"FAN" tastic!! Just found this 'Continues' series 3 days ago, and am SO thankful to you Vic, and ALL the "gang" for going the extra 1.000 miles to do this!!!! You (Vic) captured every nuance of Mr Shattner's actions, and mannerisms, and I'm truly BLOWN AWAY!!! As far as the "Studio" not allowing the last episodes to be shot, that shouldn't come as any surprise! After all, they "Scuttled" the original Enterprise after three years of it's "FIVE YEAR MISSION", probably to run wrestling matches!!! Yeah, I was also 20 in 1966. Thanx again, you've made this old man feel liker a young'un again, even if just for a while! God bless you ALL!! bg
Just Amazing! I would have loved to have been on this tour. Thanks for making this behind the scenes video. I've been a fan of TOS since a child, and got to see the original bridge set from the series in London many years ago. It just blew me away to see it in the flesh, so I can only imagine how you guys must have felt walking through the whole set from the fan series. Truly a work of art and dedication. Hats off to everyone involved in the making of this fan series. The time, love and energy and creative people that have dedicated their time to bringing the original series back, we thank you. Now that the series has wrapped. What happens to all the sets?
My wife, best friend and I went up to Ticonderoga, NY to see the Star Trek New Voyages/Phase II Star Trek TOS Sets. Their Sets were really well done and detailed, too and laid out like to original sets were! Those sets are amazing, too! They picked up on different sets details. They set up lighting that was suitable enough to more easily photograph these sets. The New Voyages staff are still completing their engineering room! They are even building emergency manual monitor in the engineering set up in the air. Just like they did in the original series. Their Jeffries Tube/Circuit Bay tube is not completed yet, either, at the time of November 2016. And the last set their staff is building is auxiliary control and they have scheduled that to be finished by next spring, early summer. I will be going back with my best friend to see those sets finally complete!
What the controls on the left arm of the command chair do? The reason I ask is they never show a close up that arm... They only showed a close up on the right arm.. TOS: COURT MARSHAL.....
SPECTACULAR SERIES!!! MORE PLEASE!! at first, when I clicked on one of the vids, I thought i was experiencing the "mandela effect" then I did some research...GREAT WORK!!
Interesting video but the camera person keeps wandering off. Vic was showing the crowd the ladder, for instance, and the camera was off in lala-land somewhere. This happened so many times, it started to annoy me. If you're going to record a tour, *_PLEASE - stay with the tour!_* Don't keep wandering off.
This is great. Anyone aspiring to learn about film production could learn a lot here. Production crew for this series was incredibly dedicated, imaginative and resourceful!
Very Cool, I got a chance to see the Ticonderoga NY Sets in person. It's a treat I recommend it to any Trek fan they are very immersive. They have moved away from them being working sets, and have completed the fourth wall in many cases making it feel more like you are on the ship. The layout of those sets are the same as Stage 9. A lot of heart and soul went into both of these sets.
As a trombonist, I recognize the cup mutes @ 10:30 used as set "decorations" in Dr. McCoy's sick bay! I suppose I noticed them in the TOS, but they never jumped out at me like they did during this tour. Very cool!
In my opinion, THIS show is a far superior continuation of Roddenberry's legacy than anything that';s been done since STO, and that goes especially for Abraham's movies/series. You guys are AWESOME!!!!! One day, I'll make it out to visit you guys :-)
Best fan project ever. For anything, not just Star Trek. Vic even has a lot of Shatneresque mannerisms out of character, haha, you can tell what a huge influence the show has been on him. I hope that some of the original cast gets to see this, I am sure Gene would be proud.
I visited Ticonderoga, New York just this summer and I was told the original show sets were destroyed when it was eventually cancelled. the shows sets blueprints were sold and rebuilt in Ticonderoga
These sets exist at Ticonderoga New York. Located up state at the head of Lake Champlain. You can call up dates with an easy search online. William Shatner will be back there in June. Others appear there all the time. This is a happening place.
There are actually TWO of these Star Trek sets. The one in Ticonderoga is the "official" one that's endorsed by CBS, and you can buy tickets to tour it. That's the one Shatner will be at. The set that I visited and took the video of, is the working set used to produce "Star Trek Continues." These STC sets are near Jacksonville and are NOT open to the public, but I believe they can be rented for use by fan films, now that STC is completed.
@@KarlTate I was wondering about differences I noticed like two doors into Kirk's quarters. Damage done by a tourist to the arched wall in his quarters. The cooridor looked more massive than I remember. Also, I remembered no Auxiliary Control. What a waste to not open that up to the public in earnest. I saw no shuttle mock up either. Good to know that there is more. Thanks. Everyone should know all the details.
To the rear of the shuttlecraft interior set I believe we saw the Bridge Control Station of a Romulan Warbird. Will we be seeing Romulans in a future episode?
great vid, i can't find that mesh anywhere.. also I saw the romulan bird f prey bridge control unit near the beginning, where is the actual bridge itself? was it taken to pieces?
They had the Romulan bridge in their finale. The wall pieces are stacked in an unused corner of Sickbay. The “control center” is standing next door in the corner of Auxiliary Control.
I love this show and I'm awe struck by the acting and how it actually 'feels' like the original series. are all the specs exact? are the sets actual duplicates? either way, they are amazing. keep up the awesome work.
The folks working on STC are dedicated to accuracy in every way. They really do strive to be creating new episodes of classic Star Trek! So they work from original set blueprints, use the same "found objects" that were used on the show (for example ice cube trays, used to cast copies of all those light-up buttons on the Bridge) and so on. Even the set lighting, lenses and camera angles are duplicated as closely as possible! True dedication.
+Karl Tate Any news as to whether or not there will be any new episodes after #7? I haven't been able to find out any new info about it. Almost seems like they quit because of the new CBS/Paramount regulations.
Thanks Jareds Gaming for the update. I just checked the ST: Continues site, and it does now show the upcoming episode 8. Hopefully they will finish the series as planned.
I used to walk around the original set, and sit in Kirk’s Captain’s chair, on days my Dad would take me - my dad worked the next sound stage over, Mission:Impossible
Star Trek Continues really feels like Star trek original, costumes, behavior, especially spirit and excitement of original cast and serie. Thanks all acters , tehnical crew, writers, and everyone that did manage to give us this. Live long and prosper.
This has got to be the coolest thing ever, ever, ever. I so hope tours can continue beyond the 11 episodes because this is tops of my bucket list.
A labor of love that has resulted in a masterpiece. Hopefully this remains for decades.

I 100% agree, and I actually lost my mother in 2022 as well, and watching shows like this remind me about what's good in the world.
I was just introduced to the show and I am so impressed with all of the amazing work you’ve done on this. I don’t think anyone could do it better
a great series and a huge credit to all the actor's
Wow thanks for sharing. Being able to see the set, and hear the teams comments was just a fantastic as watching an episode.
This is absolutely amazing! Great work with the series as well! The production values are impeccable!
Wish I was there! Could only imagine how great this must have been. Hope they keep the sets and put them some where for the public to visit.
God bless you ALL!! bg
Watching this was great fun. Thanks for sharing!
Fan made ST TOS set is breath taking. Well done everyone.I wish comments were NOT disabled on the STC RUclips channel !
They did such a perfect job on this show. Each cast member was so perfect. I can't go on enough about how impressed I was with "Star Trek Continues"
It takes a team effort to pull off what you have done...thank you.
Karl, thanks so much for posting this!
Thanks for posting the tour.Amazing.
Very nicely done! I grew up with TOS, and this really brings back some memories for me, and I'm sure others as well!
I would pay full admission to tour this set!!! Absolutely beautiful!
Blown away. I love this production.
It's also yelled (2:20) to cue up Riders on the Storm.
What the controls on the left arm of the command chair do? The reason I ask is they never show a close up that arm... They only showed a close up on the right arm.. TOS: COURT MARSHAL.....
I really miss these episodes, what a shame cbs stop them.
Production crew for this series was incredibly dedicated, imaginative and resourceful!
really enjoyed the six episodes guys, great work.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! To Boldly Go Where No Other Fan Has Gone Before.................."Warp Speed Mr. Sulu".
RIP Grant Imahara! A great loss!
LOVE AND DEDICATION PERSONIFIED. THANK U.
Man, I bet this never gets old showing people the ship and seeing their expressions!
This is wonderful!! BRAVO! 👏
As a trombonist, I recognize the cup mutes @ 10:30 used as set "decorations" in Dr. McCoy's sick bay! I suppose I noticed them in the TOS, but they never jumped out at me like they did during this tour. Very cool!
One thing I have to say about the accuracy of the show, I never knew until ST Continues that Kirk's chair had wood armrests
Thanks for sharing! That was awesome.
The series was terrific! More! More!
Please make more episodes please, please, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion, THIS show is a far superior continuation of Roddenberry's legacy than anything that';s been done since STO, and that goes especially for Abraham's movies/series. You guys are AWESOME!!!!! One day, I'll make it out to visit you guys :-)
Agreed. I find these shows far more compelling and dynamic than anything Berman and a better job of capturing the original feel than Abram's Trek.
Do you want some cheese with your whine?
Best fan project ever. For anything, not just Star Trek. Vic even has a lot of Shatneresque mannerisms out of character, haha, you can tell what a huge influence the show has been on him. I hope that some of the original cast gets to see this, I am sure Gene would be proud.
Its an amazing accomplishment.
Thanks so much Karl. This was fascinating.
Well thanks for sharing Karl, what a fun day there!
Just love this, series and the detail shown here.
That guy in the Engineering shirt though. I swear he was gonna start taking stuff apart
How do I get info on the times, dates, accessibility, etc, etc, of being able to take a public tour of the sets???!??!
I visited Ticonderoga, New York just this summer and I was told the original show sets were destroyed when it was eventually cancelled. the shows sets blueprints were sold and rebuilt in Ticonderoga
This was awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing...
AMAZING, JUST AMAZING
It doesn't get better than this
The untold hours and days of work represented here is . . . well . . . fascinating.
Love how you can hear Vic's distinctive voice over everybody else's. 😅
To the rear of the shuttlecraft interior set I believe we saw the Bridge Control Station of a Romulan Warbird.
Will we be seeing Romulans in a future episode?
Thanks for posting this!
great vid, i can't find that mesh anywhere.. also I saw the romulan bird f prey bridge control unit near the beginning, where is the actual bridge itself? was it taken to pieces?
They had the Romulan bridge in their finale. The wall pieces are stacked in an unused corner of Sickbay. The “control center” is standing next door in the corner of Auxiliary Control.
I just got done binge watching all the episodes. As an OST fan from the 60s/70s, I didn’t think I could like this series, but I was amazed and moved.
They had planned to do a new episode based on the city on edit of forever they would go back in time to save Lincoln
They are still continuing. The next episode is on April 1st
+Jareds Gaming Glad to hear that. Hope they "Continue". :-)
Thanks Jareds Gaming for the update. I just checked the ST: Continues site, and it does now show the upcoming episode 8. Hopefully they will finish the series as planned.
Hey, you all, when did this, happen,...??
Where is this set? They mention South Georgia a couple of times and Florida.
Love this! BTW went to high school with Ralph Miller. Always knew he would continue to "out-trekkie" me! Live long and continue to prosper!
I am intimidated beyond awed !!!
I used to walk around the original set, and sit in Kirk’s Captain’s chair, on days my Dad would take me - my dad worked the next sound stage over, Mission:Impossible
