I highly recommend that if you are flying from the west coast that you consider Montreal rather than Albany or Burlington. Montreal is only a 2 1/4 hour drive, not all that much longer than the other two and can be reached by non-stop flights while the flights to Albany and Burlington often either have long connections on the way out, require flying on tiny airplanes for the final leg or require a very early morning departure, sometimes as early as 5:30 am on the way home. With flying to Montreal from Seattle I had an 8 am departure outbound with a return flight at 6:30 pm. Plus you get to see Montreal as well which is worth a trip all on it's own!
Very interesting. The flights on Southwest didnt involve any puddle jumpers, they were just running late. I appreciate the info about the alternate destination. Thanks for watching
@@InterstellarModeler From Seattle the choice was a Montreal non-stop or connecting through Chicago, NYC or Charlotte. For all of those the second leg was not a mainline aircraft. I expected to see the bridge and a few other sets, but wow, the sickbay and other rooms. It's mind-blowing how much detail went into this exhibit. Can you imagine being in 1969 and telling someone that this cancelled TV show would be bigger than ever fifty years later?
It's an incredible experience and worth the voyage to upstate New York! The tours are the stuff Star Trek dreams are made of. Visit Ticonderoga in the picturesque Adirondack Mountains and nestled between Lake Champlain and Lake George!
We visited in September 2022. It was wonderful. The tour staff were so knowledgeable that they couldn't be stumped by the "Trekkies" in the group (like myself). Moreover, they were gracious and accommodating. My only regret was that I only took 118 pics during the tour, should have taken at least five times that. Added note: There is a Pizza Restaurant across the street called "House Of Pizza", where we had lunch after our Star Trek tour. For less than $21 (including 20%+ tip, we, (wife and I), had the absolute best pizza I have ever had in my 67 years. Our tour guide told us that William Shatner stops by about twice a year to give fans photo ops (yeah, for a fee), and every time he comes, he smashes the button on the comms panel in the corridor with his fist and recites the infamous line "Kirk to bridge". That's why, when we were there, the button was broken and needed repair, because Shatner had recently been there. So vintage Shatner, so vintage TREK. Love it.
....wow this was amazing to see! That was mind blowing to see what the museum has! Im curious why we dong have a new TOS figure line. I collect anything that TOS! No one ever made a classic bridge for toys
That is so awesome Oggy. I was not aware of this particular build. The only set that I was aware of was Vic's Star Trek Continues. Once again my friend thank you for the content.

Thank you for helping people see what James Cawley has created... the ultimate fan experience (especially now that Star Trek: The Experience as the Las Vegas Hilton is no more... closed in September of 2008). I went to Ticonderoga in 2021 for "Trekonderoga" and got to meet Brent Spiner, John De Lancie, and Gates McFadden... who led tours individually to comment on the difference between their Next Generation experiences and what it must have been like for those filming the original series. I will return in mid-November when William Shatner makes his next visit... a special gift to myself so I can be with what I'm sure will be an amazing collection of fans as well as James and Bill, as we process the results of the election.

@@InterstellarModeler Based on your video I have to go again, it's been a few years and they've added many things. The big Enterprise wasn't there, nor was the auxiliary bridge just to name a couple. Where those outdoor kiosks are there used to be a shuttle craft mockup, I wonder what they did with that?
Those TNG outfits are pretty baggy - I do know that Gene wanted them to fit like a second skin. I worked for a time for the Paramount Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas, and our outfits (and costumers) were the same as the ones used on the show. They were VERY tight and uncomfortable. I did later work on Enterprise and the second of the JJ Abraham’s films as well.
@@InterstellarModeler Fun fact: The zippers on the uniforms worn by the lead cast members (and day players) on TNG are in the back. The zippers on the uniforms worn by background actors on TNG (as well as in Star Trek: The Experience) are in the front. Wardrobe didn't want the hassle of having to dress/undress tertiary actors.
I got engaged here! Try to visit as often as I can. I met Jonathan Frakes and John DeLancie here as well as had a tour and Q&A with Frakes on the bridge! What a trip!
Thanks for showing this, as a fan it was very interesting, i probably will never get to this attraction as i am in New Zealand and don't get to that part of the states . Cheers Dave
I live in the Albany area and camp just under a half hour from Ticonderoga. I’ve actually passed the museum several times but had no idea how incredible this set tour actually is!!!! I know where I’m headed really soon!!!
My wife and I visited last summer ... very much worth it and I hope to go again some time (especially if the Galileo is there). Our tour guide was excellent as well, telling lots of amusing stories. "Surreal" is an understatement! I wonder if things have changed though. Our tour started with the transporter room, then through the corridors to the med bay. The briefing room was somewhere the middle of the tour, which ended with engineering (a smaller room than I expected) and then the bridge. Not sure the Auxiliary Control room was there yet? At least, I don't remember it. Did you get the story about the gold box in Kirk's quarters? And if you want to tour the fort, I HIGHLY recommend the Coffee and Cannons tour. You get in early, the curator give you a tour and fantastic talk about all the cannon there (I think only one of them is actually from the fort).
Great info, thanks. I think the tours can vary depending on where other groups are?? The standard tour was a little different in terms of the order. Thanks for watching.

to take in!!! 👍👍👍👍
You’re welcome….thanks so much for watching
I expected to see the bridge and a few other sets, but wow, the sickbay and other rooms. It's mind-blowing how much detail went into this exhibit. Can you imagine being in 1969 and telling someone that this cancelled TV show would be bigger than ever fifty years later?
@@Paul_Wetor it is pretty incredible. Thanks for your comments
This is very impressive! I did not expect it to be so extensive
@@steveg219 it really is amazing, thanks for the comment
I'm so glad you had a good time. I've been twice most recently on Star Trek day . James Cawley is a great guy and a pleasure to meet and talk to
@@tcampag thanks so much and yes I totally agee. James Cawley was a lot of fun to talk with. Thanks for watching
Now I guess I have to go to Florida, which I swore would never go to again. But... well there's THIS. Thanks for the video!
@@blave549 Ticonderoga NY, thanks for watching
Thank you very much for sharing this with us! :)
My pleasure! thank you for watching
It's an incredible experience and worth the voyage to upstate New York! The tours are the stuff Star Trek dreams are made of.
Visit Ticonderoga in the picturesque Adirondack Mountains and nestled between Lake Champlain and Lake George!
It sure is gorgeous there. Thanks for watching
OMG that's incredible!!!! What an awesome place. Can't thank you enough for showing us!! I'm blown away!!
You're welcome, thank you for your kind comments.
Wow 😲 that is awesome 👍
@@santiagocantuborjas9060 it really is a wonderful place
Quite awesome! Love all the Easter eggs throughout
it really is a great place, thank you for watching
Love it.
@@aldolajak1267 very cool. It’s such a special place for sure. Btw, I was wondering if that pizza place was good, thanks for mentioning it.
....wow this was amazing to see! That was mind blowing to see what the museum has! Im curious why we dong have a new TOS figure line. I collect anything that TOS! No one ever made a classic bridge for toys
@@Rob-z7k not really sure but thanks for watching. It really is an amazing place
That is so awesome Oggy. I was not aware of this particular build. The only set that I was aware of was Vic's Star Trek Continues. Once again my friend thank you for the content.
@@richardcorwin1828 thanks so much Richard. I really appreciate your kind compliments
A must see!

You're one lucky guy Oggi...hopefully I'll get to visit the sets at some point...stay safe!
@@jeanmalo7173 thanks Jean. Yeah I count my blessings all the time. Thanks so much for watching. You’d love the place. Hope you can make it there
Thank you for helping people see what James Cawley has created... the ultimate fan experience (especially now that Star Trek: The Experience as the Las Vegas Hilton is no more... closed in September of 2008).
That’s awesome. Thanks for watching
This is amazing to see!In Iowa,we have a permanent Star Trek museum in Riverside,Iowa.I went there in the spring with my old sister in 2021,I believe,it was?😊

I want to call you guys dorks, however I’d have done the exact same things and probably more. It reminds me of the Star Trek experience in Vegas back in the day, except a ton cooler. Cheers!

Brilliant. Love it

I'm from Texas. I took my family in July 2018, and again in July 2024. James Cawley actually gave us our tour in 2018. It was very neat.
There's a great pizzeria across the street. Also, don't forget to visit Fort Ticonderoga.

If i ever get back to ny for a city break, i'll have to look at seeing if i can get go the gour by train as i don't drive.
I would have to do both tours like yourself, kust do that i can have a mini geek session.
Love what you were kind enough to share.
There is a train stop in Ticonderoga just not sure how far from the tour. Thanks for watching
Looks like you had a blast Oggie. Hopefully I can see that too someday.
it really was a great time, thanks Shawn
@11:17. You have a lot of great poses there, but this one was spot on!
Thanks. It's so funny, there are a number of still shots that we have all seen numerous times over the years and I know there's a few with Kirk sitting in this way. Thought I'd try my hand at replicating it Lol. Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate your kind comments.
I visited this set 3 times and was lucky enough on one of those occasions to meet Mike Okuda. I saw Denise as well, but didn't get an introduction.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
That looks incredible. Would love to visit. I saw the TOS bridge at the Hollywood wax museum but this looks way better.
@@ScottHotWheels yeah I’ve been to the Hollywood wax museum and this is a whole othr level for sure. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the comment. I visited the Experience a number of times. You guys all looked great.
We were there a couple of weeks ago! Well worth the trip!

I live in the Albany area and camp just under a half hour from Ticonderoga. I’ve actually passed the museum several times but had no idea how incredible this set tour actually is!!!! I know where I’m headed really soon!!!
Do you camp at Putnam Pond?
Outstanding.....you'll enjoy it for sure. Thanks for watching
Love the Cad Bane portrait! 👍
thank you
My wife and I visited last summer ... very much worth it and I hope to go again some time (especially if the Galileo is there).
