This might sound silly, but this show is great for my anxiety. I loved this episode, great format, and I love how I dont need to know anything about to toys to enjoy pegwarmers. Well done, keep it up.
I'm glad you enjoyed the episode, and happy it helped. I'm a teacher when I'm not talking about toys on the internet, so I try to give background info and not assume people have a lot of background.
@@MyMonsterFX Hi there! Were you saying the Blank action figure spoiled Dick Tracy the movie for you? Because that's an incredibly rare figure that I looked for everywhere as a kid. So if you saw it in stores, I'm jealous lol.
Yes! Old school Pegwarmers! Also, Hoodie Co Co missed an opportunity to shoot Doctor Mindbender! And that mastadge looks better than the Fans Strike Back bantha 😂
I remember them at the grocery store which was like the start of the warehouse stores. And they had it in 3 places out front of the video rental store the cereal isles and some place weird
I remember when these first hit shelves and being confused as to what they were….obviously, I caught on to the re-tooled Joe vehicles and weapons. But I’m pretty sure I hadn’t seen the trailer yet, so I wasn’t aware of the film just yet. Only bought Anubis though because he looked cool and was, well, Anubis. 😅
Kind of funny that you guys are doing a Stargate episode on the same exact day and the same exact hour I go see The Mummy (1999) at the Cinepolis Moviehouse & Eatery theaters in McKinney TX.
This is awesome my girlfriends mom has all of these she loves Stargate in fact my girlfriends sisters first name is Stargate and her middle name is Atlantis the poor girls name is literally Stargate Atlantis
I picked up the Egyptian characters a few months ago and they're awesome. I could definitely see myself as a kid using the little artifacts as something the toys could fight over, maybe not the little jeep though😂
@@Pegwarmers Also, the mini AWE Striker. That was a gimmick from late G1 GI Joe. Putting minis of characters and vehicles in the action figure packages.
I only had Ra as a kid, Certainly a unique figure with the gold and purple. Always kind of wondered what the rest of the line was like. I got the idea, egyptian aliens with advanced technology. The crazy giant missile launcher did communicate that. So I'd have him fight the Terminator. Also played the Sega Genesis Stargate game, which has great graphics for the time, should probably try it again and see if I can get farther since its easy to not know what to do to progress. But we have walkthroughs now on youtube.
@Pegwarmers Non sequitur, but you think any of the space aliens from late Gen 1 GI Joe would fit in the Buzz Boar? They are among the few GI Joe characters that would make sense to put in that strange (may I dare say...otherworldly?) Vehicle. I would ask about the infamous Pogo as well, but I got the Cobra-La Royal Guard in that one. I guess the Star Brigade Cobra Robot would be a good vehicle to test, too, since they are in the same toy line. Edit: Found out about the "Invader" remold of the Pogo too, so I guess the fit question applies to this too now. Silly me. :p
This episode was so fun to watch. Great spontaneity. I know I was laughing with you guys. I vividly remember these figures on the pegs. Definitely overpriced at $6.99 each at my local small department store as a kid. The only one that I have is Ra. The articulation was so lackluster compared to G.I. Joe that I ended up resealing Ra back in his card package with all his accessories. Hasbro would have done much better to have made these figures as o rings like the Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat figures. It's just disappointing to see some good figure designs, such as Ra, Anubis, and Horus with poor articulation.
They did a lot of parts reuse for the Street Fighter toys, the Stargate Bad Guys would have needed to be fully tooled and the more articulation a toy has the more expensive it is to produce. They could have made them better for sure, but I think this was what the budget dictated.

Cant go wrong with a Tony episode, always a fun time.
We are hoping to start doing a Tony episode monthly.
@@Pegwarmers🤘🤘
Monster fx only be talking in my left ear :D
Argh... but Tony and I were I'm stereo?
@@Pegwarmers aye, sounds like it
Yeah, I think Tony is trying to sabotage me and gave me a bad mic.
I understand though because he’s jealous of my Stargate collection! 😂

I thought about Mindbender as well!

He's a winner if you are only getting one.
my rental is seriously overdue, any chance Tony can waive the late fees?
How do you think he can cover the rent if he is waiving late fees all the time.
I have a couple of these AWE strikers from the Stargate series that came in a batch I got.
Great for conversions...
Yeah, they are a neat variant.
Fantastic episode, really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the kind words!
This is a rare moment watching you guys in the Hack-The-Movie set being used for a Pegwarmers video...nice
We did some Batman episodes in the video store.
Kind of funny that you guys are doing a Stargate episode on the same exact day and the same exact hour I go see The Mummy (1999) at the Cinepolis Moviehouse & Eatery theaters in McKinney TX.
Ha!
Are you guys going back to the multiple person discussion format like this going forward i much perfer it
It just comes down to when I can schedule to film with someone else.
I don't even know about stargate and not having an official stargate sounds kind of blasphemous.
Uh, please do a show on Police Academy toys and the playset?
That would be fun. I have some of the figures, but not a complete set.
Did you ever do a vid on 80's Dune toys?
Yes, with Farpoint Toys
@@Pegwarmers And Small Soldiers?
@dubuyajay9964 That's on a list of episodes I'd like to make, but I don't have a lot of the toys.

She have the live action and animated TV toys?

Yeah, the ones that look like idols or artifacts kind of work for that.
Any plans to cover the toys from the live action tv shows and cartoon?
03:39. The sled looks a lot like a Star Wars Ewok/Robin Hood catapult.
Well, those are Kenner toys, and I have a theory that the Kenner Designers worked on this line.
@@Pegwarmers Also, the mini AWE Striker. That was a gimmick from late G1 GI Joe. Putting minis of characters and vehicles in the action figure packages.
Omg scaras head is totally ted from bill and teds toy line ( looks it don't really know)

Ha ha ha!

Ra vs Terminator!
It's a shame about the infighting. This could've been a great line if they had GI Joe bodies instead of the Kenner ones.
Have you ever tried putting GI Joe toys in these vehicles?
You can put a joe in the dune buggy or glider but they shift around a lot.
@Pegwarmers Wish it had foot pegs or clips. Wait...how about those oversized Mega Monsters and Aliens they made towards the end of the original line?
@@dubuyajay9964 The Megamonsters might be too big. The aliens might fit.

@dubuyajay9964 The aliens are a little awkward. On has 4 arms and strange legs, one has big bendy arms, and on has 3 legs, a tail, and a long neck.
