My god…these guys went from no one to kings overnight. They pulled a Fenix, showing everyone else how deep you can go, setting a new bar. I wonder if PMDG will even consider continuing their MAX development after this 🤔
As a real 737NG/MAX pilot i must tell you something because me eyes are crying..you can’t hit TOGA all the way from idle. First advance thrust around 40%wait for stabilise and THEN hit TOGA. And you can use LNAV/VNAV for take off You are welcome Sir😊

To my knowledge that’s always the procedure with any airliner. Thrust to 40% for stabilization then TOGA. That’s how I always performed it in the sims anyway.
if is priced cheaper than PMDG this is definitely a win. two things i've noticed though, the spinning of the engine does not match the sound on initial engine start, the engines are spinning way too fast before the sound of the engines spooling up comes on. the second thing, the control surfaces seem to move way too fast with the inputs, which gives it a highly unrealistic look. Hopefully they sort this things out before release.

I've noticed one thing. No windshield reflection. It is fundamental to improve. Texturing is not so important. Many mods can be created. Except for that it is exciting hot stuff !

If I remember correctly, I thought we were told that iFly 737 Max was going to be free but at this point with how insanely good this is, I would not be surprised if we are paying $72.99 for this aircraft! It’s going to be well worth the purchase! I might not buy the PMDG 737 Max cuz at that point we will have 2 already in our hangars! We don’t need a 3rd 737 Max

Overall great looking aircraft. Gotta love the 737's. It's good to see that pmdg will finally have some competition. One thing I dont like and its a small one, in my opinion the efb should be an ipad instead of this bulky thing here.
I feel they’ve done pmdg here big time, and gladly so .. sick of pmdg holding us all to ransom with their planes. Yes in p3d they were the best but I feel in msfs their aircraft feel dated and very samey . I had the ifly stuff in p3d also .. but they’ve gone above and beyond big time here … wow Can’t wait to buy this and yes I’ll also be deleting the pmdg 737
Why feel the need to tell us you're deleting it? You've already bought it so PMDG doesn't care what you with it after that. Plus, the PMDG fleet is still older models than the Max 8, so there is room for both on any hard drive. I won't be buying any new tube liners at all though until I see how well, or how badly, done the MSFS24 737 Max 8 turns out to be. I'm not a tubeliner driver so I don't need a super high detailed 737 Max 8.
This is impressive, I am buying it 100%. As far as cabin animation, the only other aircraft that has it to this level of detail is FlyJSim's Dash 8-400 for X-Plane.

It does have a few glitches, like when climbing at times it has difficulties leveling out on autopilot, it jumps around. And someof the switches like the landing lights dont work on/off function. Not the same as PDMG but it has potential when fixed completely
The "VREF"s were different because the FMC is showing VREF and the tablet showed VREF+5 AKA VAPP. So you should have flown 146kt not 141kt. BTW, you did not notice the NO VSPDS ;) Nice video though.

Considering their usual development pace one can assume that it won't release for another 2 years after they said both the 747 and a professional contract prevent them from prioritizing it at the moment. And after the IFly is out, I'm quite sure they will look at what they have and think about how they can compete with that at their price tag. Just giving people the MAX9 and MAX10 as well, won't cut it.
PMDG is an old dog who can’t learn new tricks. Their development pace is glacial, and in today’s world, you may as well close up shop. Heck, GFO still isn’t out, and it was announced near 6 years ago. Bring on the competition.
Man i just can't wait for this thing to be buyable. I fly a lot of PMDG planes, but they are really showing their age in terms of textures, modeling and system function. iFly releasing a 737 is soo refreshing as we finally have proper competition for PMDG, which makes me hope they will start to get a grip with thier handeling of stuff and start throwing out even better products. And this is no hate towards PMDG, but most of the time it feels like they just do what they want, no matter how us buying customers feel about it, and rather speak around a topic for months than to just address an issue, and the community toxicity is also really sad. Heres hope the competition makes them realize that they have to get their standarts back up.
Love when you say: "Sometimes the V speeds match up with the EFB" and then "Stick with the CDU ones" 😅😅 WYM sometimes?? They have to matchup all the time! Otherwise what would be the point to run through the EFB PERF page? In the sim, if the CDU isn't matching then there's an error, either from the PIC or the aircraft programming. In RW auto speeds in the CDU don't exist 😅 so you definitely have to stick with the EFB or do the calculations manually. Bottom line is that they have to match 😉 Great video though 💪
Well, I'd say definitely iFly made an excellent implementation of 737Max comparing to the PMDG 737 old school, in aspects which has more fun and playable factors not limited in the cockpit but also out of if, which PMDG is currently not achived yet.🎉😊

This airplane is an absolut DREAM!!! The Fenix-Boeing! Love it. I´m going to re-install the sim for this masterpiece and get back to flying ASAP - oh it is a dream come true. So awesome and the cockpit looks so gorgeous and ultra-high-polygon and ultra-high-quality from a visual point of view which is important for immersion, no ugly blurry textures no angular low-poly objects but pure visual perfection. We have 2024 so photorealistic bug-free visuals are important, and this new masterpiece Boeing seems to fully deliver :). I hope the cockpit systems are simulated to absolute perfection too, especially the FMC flight pre-programming and autopilot functions are most important because I personally love ultradetailed flight planning with Google Maps and Little Navmap..... with exact routes waypoints (sometimes even VOR-radials and catching a far away waypoint later - of course this is not done in real jet aviation anymore but I have even done this with the Fenix A320 sometimes after simulating GPS failures and stuff), precise altitudes and descent calculation and more are the best part of a simulation. Seeing the FMC and the autopilot executing all the precise flight planning with perfection is awesome. All that was possible with the Fenix Airbus so I hope this new Boeing will have all these sophisticated cockpit systems too. The P3D version even had glowing brakes and many other beautyful details when enjoying the exterior 3D model a bit, which I like to do for screenshots and fully zooming in to the engines and flaps and other lovely details while the autopilot flies. Oh wow finally a superb quality 737 - that was a long and brutal wait testing the patience of every Boeing-fan for 4 years. The next masterpieces will be the FlyByWire Airbus 380 and the BlueBird Boeing 757 releasing some time next spring or summer. But in the meantime the beloved sim is finally alive again thanks to this new plane (and the new freighter 727 which seem to be of similar great quality released 3 weeks ago or so.) The fleet is getting one hightech spaceship this 737 and one retro steam-gauge freighter, lovely, finally enough reason to install the sim again. And I have deleted 700 gigabytes of airports and addon-scenery at the end of summer, that was the most stupid thing ever done and it will take weeks to get all this up and running again with all addons.... But it will be worth it and for the glory of the new 737! :)

@@Marchmadness-w9c I do not consider it as a ripoff PMDG planes are study level and certified by Boeing at least according to their manuals not to mention the performance, it really matters since MSFS is basically a trash code so every unnecessary eye candy should not be a priority over performance since it’s not great as it is now but the benchmarks and the stats are there you can feel free to compare any PMG aircraft to any other aircraft and see the performance for yourself that what matters at least to me. But do you wanna know what is the real rip off ? It’s inibuilds their sceneries aircraft anything from them even their ini manager runs like garbage, looks great and all but runs like garbage now tell me what a plane or a scenery is good for if you can’t run it ? Or at least can’t achieve a decent performance in it that is what matters ultimately. I honestly could care less about small little feature that PMDG did not include the only thing that I care about is performance and most majority of people care about too and make no mistake I have a decent system ( i5-14600K + 4070 ) so I’m pretty sure I can get a decent performance with it
The aircraft looks great my only eww moment is the engine cowling looks so fake. It’s missing some sort of texturing pretty much the entire wing could use so more texturing at least some grime or dirt

It's funny how people here are so pressed over this release. The more competition we have the more the consumer wins. I like the PMDG product, and I've been enjoying this one too. I was very happy when I got the early access and I was happy when the NG droped a few years ago

PMDG definitely has something to learn about quality in design and reality with iFly.....in addition to the price, they will no longer be alone.
Pmdgs 737 is still spot on in systems, especially in non normals, while the ifly max is not yet. I guess everyone has a different focus.

you put your OAT as 28 Farenheit. That's -2 celsius. You told your FMC it is below freezing.

And I have deleted 700 gigabytes of airports and addon-scenery at the end of summer, that was the most stupid thing ever done and it will take weeks to get all this up and running again with all addons.... But it will be worth it and for the glory of the new 737! :)

PMDG used to sell all the variants as one. Thats the annoying thing with PMDG and lost their credibility as an honest developer
@@Marchmadness-w9c I do not consider it as a ripoff PMDG planes are study level and certified by Boeing at least according to their manuals not to mention the performance, it really matters since MSFS is basically a trash code so every unnecessary eye candy should not be a priority over performance since it’s not great as it is now but the benchmarks and the stats are there you can feel free to compare any PMG aircraft to any other aircraft and see the performance for yourself that what matters at least to me. But do you wanna know what is the real rip off ? It’s inibuilds their sceneries aircraft anything from them even their ini manager runs like garbage, looks great and all but runs like garbage now tell me what a plane or a scenery is good for if you can’t run it ? Or at least can’t achieve a decent performance in it that is what matters ultimately. I honestly could care less about small little feature that PMDG did not include the only thing that I care about is performance and most majority of people care about too and make no mistake I have a decent system ( i5-14600K + 4070 ) so I’m pretty sure I can get a decent performance with it

The aircraft looks great my only eww moment is the engine cowling looks so fake. It’s missing some sort of texturing pretty much the entire wing could use so more texturing at least some grime or dirt

It's funny how people here are so pressed over this release. The more competition we have the more the consumer wins. I like the PMDG product, and I've been enjoying this one too. I was very happy when I got the early access and I was happy when the NG droped a few years ago
