I did this to my '19 after seeing the Whiskey video... Same 2 inch drop and did it just how you did this one.. completely removed both inner and outer ... It's still my favorite mod I've done to the bike ...
@sikbaggers thank you for the great content you put out. Question: does lowering and extending out the fairing make handling any better because all that weight is lower and better distributed? Is the bike easier to handle when you walk the bike in off state?
yes I believe it does...With the additional fat tire I installed this bike handles like its on rails...we took it to Sturgis last year and it handled the corners out there like a dream.
Question Steve, 2015 Road Glide, Legend AXEO with a 1" drop front end, 21" front wheel with raised fender brackets. I have exactly 3" front the skirt to the fender (with bump stops installed) would you still drop the fairing 2"? Or do 1.65? In this video it looks like after the fairing drop it's not lower than the skirt so it should good, any thoughts?
Hey Steve Great video, I have a 21' wheel (not fat) with Advanblack fender, and suspension is Legend Axeo for 21inch, should i take the 2 or the 3inch ? Thanks for helping
If you drop that with a 3 inch I would certainly run some bump stops on the front end..I would actually call Dave at DD and ask him...I havent ran a 21 with a lowered fairing but a lot of folks have so he would know better than me
@@sikbaggers Thanks for the answer, I finally ordered the 2inch, hopefully I will be good, Do you have the link for the bump stop that you mention in your video, Thanks again
Hey Steve really enjoy your content On your Whiskey Amber bike did you change your back tire to an 18 to match your front fat tire I am in the process of doing a fat tire on my 15 road glide it has a 180 16 was wondering if I need to change rear to match the front witch will be an 180 18 Thanks Bev
What if there is a Custom Dynamics light bar mounted to the bottom? Will this still work or will the light bar have to be removed? This fairing looks so much better lowered. I’d be willing to lose the light bar if required.
i dont know how thick that bar is but you can always lower it, compress the front end all the way down as best as you can and see if it hits or comes close
FYI. The light bar attaches to existing holes on the stock bracket. The new bracket does not have these holes. I will figure out a mounting solution at some point. Looks to be enough room.
@@billmcdowell9739 LOL well crap....im on vacation at the momment in Florida visiting family and when I reurn monday ill scout around for a rg3.......i should be able to give it a look and see if it will interfere with the stabilizer or not. Sorry I couldnt help more at this momment but ill find out.

Yes..I love it...I knew the new rg had to have it done.
Bro your videos are step by step the best I've ever watched.. your explanation and articulation is point on
Thank you bro...much appreciated...glad the video helped! Love this fairing drop on the RG's. thank you for checking it out!
What about headlite alignment?
Headlight alignment stays the same..no need to adjust it

Steve, when you lowered the black road glide fairing 2" on video, you also replaced your headlight; which one was that? Thanks
its the advanblack color matched attack headlight amzn.to/3KQjhkc
Appreciate you taking the time to make the video..This is most like my next modification to my bike …. Thank you so much …
Thank you Josh..youll love it, bikes handles much better and you can see so much more without that fairing in your face...plus it just looks better.
Hello Steve , congrats on the amazing content , I want to install a drop kit on my road glide ASAP
Thank you sir..ive dropped every road glide fairing over had...it really makes the bike look much better
Since I was changing my fork cans I was going to do the progressive shock 1” drop. I like the block 1.65” drop too. Tough decisions. Thanks for video
You can do both and really make the bike look slammed. thank you for checking it out!

I guess an easy question would be, does the fairing after the 2" drop sit lower than the skirt
the 2" inch drop sits exactly even with the skirt.
Awesome dude! Thank you!

No I kept the back stock 16..no need to change it
Good time check for any rubbing of wires
Headlight alignment ?
Shiny side up
Headlight alignment stays the same ..no need to adjust it

Steve, appreciate what you do! Will the DD Custom 2" drop block work on my 2023 Road Glide 3? Concerned about clearing the stabilizer bar.
im really not sure on that one..i havent tested it. Maybe give Dave a call at DD and see if hey have had anyone do it yet
@@sikbaggers Dave said call Steve, he would know. LOL
