I have same exact problem but since there is no much ECUs in my country and I have to get used one. So do I look for specific one with same number or from same model of the car. Since I found same one with my number but I have 1.4 hdi diesel and the one I found online is from 1.6 petrol engine. Does that matter ?
I have the same problem with Peugeot 207. But does the ecu kit swap will solve the issue? Ecu - bai and key should match , don’t they? Will be ok if reprogram the ecu?
@@marcingiedo7753 the ECU I fitted was a de-immobilised ECU. So not exactly secure, but made it a straight swap without having to change the body control module, clocks, keys and all sorts.

To be honest my 308 throwing code 1339 misfire cylinder 3 and i have changed all coils , spark plugs even injector rails, cam sensor but still same thing so i am thinking now it might be ECU
I have the same problem i think , my car is misfiring , the fan turns on and wont turn off , and i got the anti pollution faulty , how did you figure out that was the ecu ?
I used a friend's snap on diagnostic. And kept disabling the coils to find which one it was. Then Swapped the wiring around to know it wasn't something mechanical. From there I bit the bullet and found a guy selling ECUs on ebay that have the immobiliser removed so it's plug and play, problem instantly fixed.
Scratch that, should have checked which video this was. It's a cheap ebay Bluetooth OBD reader. And the Torque Pro app. So cheap but it's worked for me for years now

If we change the ecu, shouldn't we do the remapping of the new one with old one?
Has a factory map on it. So wasn't needed.
@@LowtherSport What about immobiliser? And what's happened after you replaced sensor, no update

Did the misfire come back as when you plugged the new ecu in it come up with the anti pollution fault which I thought was linked to the misfire
Nope. New ECU fixed it straight away. And once I cleared the fault codes the anti pollution fault never came back.
Great I have the same issue on a 1.4 petrol I’m swapping the ecu this week, can I ask what brand your ecu was if you remember ?
@@Liamtts1 no idea. Got a like for like, immobiliser bypassed one
As I’ve been struggling to find one the same as mine which is plug and play

Very likely, especially if you are getting a depolution fault, or full speed radiator fans.
I am getting anti pollution systems faulty on dash and fan kicks in after a while and stays on for 5 minutes after switching off
Only other thing i can feel strong smell from exhaust too
That sounds exactly like this did then. New ECU time.
Thanks alot i will give it go next week

It was a Snap On Solus

About £150
