- For it's 20th anniversary Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is getting a long awaited remaster! This is my favorite game ever made and by far the best turned-based RPG out there, and I can not wait for it!

Also this is my favorite game ever and I am so happy that Nintendo might be giving the Paper Mario series a return to form. I just hope it sells.

A this is a remake. Not a remaster.

@@dutchritz Here's the thing... it's not just a graphical upgrade, they have completely replaced all of the rigged sprites from the original game with (very thin) rigged models. Not only that but the game is running in a different engine than the original and is running at 30fps when the original ran at 60fps meaning they need to recode the all the action commands to cut them in half (for example, you had 8 frames to successfully guard in the original so they will need to cut that too 4 frames in the remake) meaning they are not using the original code. That is some reasons why ttyd is a remake and not a remaster.
