Always love that scene along with the scene where he destroys the singing guy's guitar. To me Animal House is John Belushi's best movie. • @jondeem7490
      @jondeem7490 2 года назад +2

      Lol! I was just thinking how funny that scene is, the way he times his comedey in his action and movements. Especially when he grabs the guitar real quick, then proceeds to use these big dramatic singing motions in time to a broken rythm of sorts that fit Belushi's comedic timing perfectly. But then after that he's even more brilliant when he finishes smashing the guitar, only to snap out of his rage to then calmly return what's left of the instrument's neck and the few little stringy remains, curled up and unrecognizable. The camera then goes from the shocked, and sad wannabe campus vagabond, and then to bluto who face says everything without any dialogue needing to be spoken, as he just makes this almost shrugging like gesture mixed wit some sadness, but only for what he felt he had to do for the good of the Toga Party. The bard was killing everyone's buzz whichwas making them all pass out or space out. It's almost like in an instant"Bluto communicates with us this statment of, "Hey bud..Yeahhh...I know man, I know. You have to remember these things can and do happen in life from time to time throughout our live you know. And I want you to know that I really am terribly sorry 'bout your luck kid... But...You really do gotta understand...
      You left me no choice though...
      I hope you realize the massive favor I did for you. I litteraly saved you from being murdered by me...
      Seriously though, it was either gonna be you, or the guitar...and ya know I gotta be honest you just seem like way too nice a young naive boy, and way too innocent and young and sweet just be slaughtered into pieces, ripped into shreds just like your guitar. So instead of you and your life, I took your...uh instrument's life...instead.
      Essentially, your guitar died for your evil, awful, sins of playing awful music and... I...uhhh...or uh... that is what is...that is...
      And yay! Thaat is all that's left of the lute, as it died by my hands a martyr sacrifice...just like...a...uhhhh....lamb of Jesus, and Thy Lord do saith now unto me...
      Yay! Thy Christ! Thy Savior! and thy Lord! Had died a martyr for humanity... And now your instrument too has done the same to take on the brutal beat down that almost came for you, but it then came instead for your guitar. Just as Jesus Christ was cruified, willingly sacrificing himself for humananity and it's sins that it went through for all of mankind...
      Your guitar just some how miraculously bore all of my viscous, violent wrath and rage. Instead of your face and body. Thank the "Lute or Bluto!"

      I think that was parodied in Star Trek the Next Generation. The episode where the captain, the doctor, and the engineer were portraying Robin Hood and his band of men. No shit, Sherlock. Its been restored. You can't just re-use 1980's video technology, you have to go back to the original film and scan it at high quality (and then go through the restoration process) for modern audiences to watch it. Besides, haven't you ever seen a movie from the 70's and 80's before? You're still viewing the film at a lower quality than what people were watching in the cinemas back then. 35mm, the film size that Animal House was recorded onto, is generally considered equivalent to 4K (at absolute most 6K). 35mm has been around since the early 1900's. Hell, you can even buy the Wizard of Oz in 4K and that came out in 1939. I find it to be quite silly how people have such little understanding and knowledge about older technology.

      @@everythingthrice nah it’s a very common misconception among younger people that film quality was garbage pre 2000s. They’re confusing film with television, which was limited not by the cameras or film but the broadcasting technology available. You can watch color movies from the 50s and 60s that look great, and no remastering, colorizing or upscaling needs to be done. Just a scan if you want to watch in digital. So they probably looked _even better_ in theaters at the time
