Such lovely staff. I'm very phobic and try to watch this stuff as a cure. I actually feel very reassured by the medics myself, they're very calming and professional.
Good on ya! Gotta love the medics.
My blood pressure can be through the roof. The paramedics come around and my bp drops.
That is so sad what the paramedic was saying about the kids at around 12:30 ish. I know it's terrible, but I always saw paramedics as almost immune to the pain and grief of patients because I assumed they were used to it and they somehow lose their 'humaness' when they put on the uniform. But we are all human, regardless of our careers or races or anything. It really opened my eyes.
You never do. I work as a school psychologist, and I work as a sort of first line for he kids who come in with trauma, etc. Lots of refugee kis, kids with abuse, etc. Some you hear when you're falling alseep at night, or when you htink it's tinntus when you're tired and something sets it off, little stuff that just reminds you and takes you back. It doesn't harden you with time as much as just accumulate. After a while, the dam breaks.
@@aimee6098 uhm, sure.
@@raquellofstedt9713 whoops. My child took my phone and started pressing buttons!
I think people often think that Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Firefighters, Emergency Operators, And othe first respdonders are unaffected by what we see, but we're only human.
They are all such lovely people!
So much respect for these paramedics. These situations are not always easy to stomach.
God Bless all of those in the medical field and the staff.
You ambulance ppl are so awesome .I live in the US over here that little boy would not have got pain meds 😢I don't understand how we are so different. Its 2023 now i don't know if things have changed about drugs for you.But in the US you have to suffer .I feel so bad for the elderly who suffer everyday.Because the government stepped in and tied the Dr hands .✌️❤️
I think parents should be taught basic baby care as part of her pregnancy care, address's etc kept close to hand, so the correct information can be re-laid to the emergency services.
I have sat two Red Cross 1st responder courses, and used the training in tunnel rescue, I also took a radio course to obtain a radio operators licence as I owned a boat and went offshore. Beside the radio was a printed prompt sheet, all passengers coming aboard were briefed on the radio, so if I was incapable, they could make calls to the coast guard.
As an ex Boy Scout I go by the motto of. Be Prepared
Ambulance crews do a wonderful job and technology is helping them no end.
Thank you to them all.
I got sad watching them work on the ten year old human boy who had the open arm fracture because that's how I'd feel if my 15 year old son got hurt.
My first job is corrections officer at a state prison in Texas and my second job is volunteer firefighter in the small city where I live. I'll be paid per call I answer and work on. The amount I get paid will be small but the great feeling I'll get inside from helping other humans will be even greater.
Thank you to all the boys and girls of the Irish National Ambulance Service and all emergency responders around the world for the hard, dedicated, dangerous and professional work you do.
These people are amazing.
Wonderful thank you for caring for your patients. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
These medics are a wonderful lot!
Ah I miss the ambulance service back home x
I'm currently trying to get into university to become a paediatric nurse! I'm excited :)
My father was an ambulance driver between 1960 and 1966 in Liverpool, he always talked about the children and how much upset him even years later before he died in 2018 he cried about five little children he went to on a shout who had amoebic dysentery, and a girl of 11 who he delivered a baby from when I was only 6 weeks old he cried about that little baby and the Mumm who was only a child just before he died, I said to him don't get upset dad all the people you looked after when you were on the ambulance service will be there to greet you when you go home to say thanks RIP DADDY
Just as I was watching the helicopter section of the show our rescue helicopter was just landing at our hospital, as I live next door to the hospital it was quite load an added sound to your show lol
Love the Irish accents
Two 👍👍up rather you're in the UK or in the states you guys are awesome. I live in the states and suffer from Asthma Copd thanks for taking care of me 🏥🚑.
My husband had his left index finger de-gloved in 2016. It was de-gloved from the very 1st phalange, and it was only attached by the tendon. He opted to have the finger amputated instead of trying to re-attach what was left and still have the possibility of have to have it amputated anyway. It could have taken up to a year to know if it took, and be functional again. It was quite the mess to say the least. I watched the doctors use side-cutters to nip away at the bone, until it was short enough to have the remaining skin cover the tip. I never let my husband watch as he would've had an issue seeing how bad it was. He's totally healed now, and he says it still feels like he has it. Peace
35:32 no way my granddad was born in Clifden!! Back in 1899 it was a tiny little rock pile, apparently now it's a big tourist destination, go figure.
My mom fainted at the sight of blood. Poor woman had 9 children and there was blood almost every day.
My dad ended up chopping off his middle finger off when he was younger (not sure what age) with a saw blade and my Grandma couldn't care less... The way my family deals with injuries is with an "oh well" attitude. 😂
Intranasal medication administration in combination with entonox is so great for children!
No needles, no more stress, just a nasal spray and gas that makes you feel funny...😉
Damnit Jennifer, get it together and get the address

Do they have to pay for the services that they requested after?
Unless you have a medical card, something you get if your income is low compared to your family, you may be charged for ambulance services. However, the practice varies between different parts of the country and charges may be waived in certain cases, for example, in cases of hardship.
In America they just hang up on you if you don't or can't calm down ! Sad
...
The kid part is making me cry a wee bit. I don't have kids but I love children to death. This is tear jerking.
What kind of thing is the sniffing tool ? I have never seen this before. Same with the thing they get afterwards.
And where in great Britain does this take place, i can barely understand some of the paramedics 😅.
Sommer Socke This is filmed in Ireland
what's an air code ?
Well, What's the difference between a paramedic and an advanced paramedic.... And something Linda called,, critical care unit" I think?
Ireland has an independent organisation founded in 2005 through legislation called the ‘Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council’ or abbreviated ‘PHECC’ (pheccit.ie) it is the government body that gives licences to all Pre-Hospital Emergency Staff at different levels (Emergency Medical Tehncnician (EMT) Paramedic and Advanced Paramedic) basically each level can practice using more medications and techniques and each is more qualified then the level previous, all paramedics and AP’s of Dublin Fire Brigade/Briogáid Deotáin Baile Átha Cliath, HSE National Ambulance Service, Irish Defence Forces, Irish Civil Defence, Order of Malta, Irish Red Cross, St. John Ambulance Ireland etc are issued licences by the one legal body. Hope that answers your question
Anyone know what kind of gas they gave the boy for the pain?
laughing gas
This is why trampolines are not recommended for childten.
I panic with emergency vehicles behind me and I don’t know what do ! It would be nice to get some training
If they have there lights on and if it's safe to do so move to the side and let them pass. It what we get told to do in Australia and I hope that helps you.
Americans be like: wait free healthcare
The only reason im here is cuz i wana be a fireman/paramedic for dublin fire brigade

The young lad with finger injury can easily just grab a taxi and go to the hospital.. This is misuse of the ambulance service aye
Too many people talking and giving interviews as opposed to live action and live scenes of blood guts and Glory...this is a boring program..
