@@MarincaGheorghe no, back lever is actually one of the things I'm working on rn. I did a lot of handstands and such, maybe that's what you're getting at. I don't think wrist mobility was a problem anyway I said the V-sit basically came automatically, but I think it was probably working on my hamstring flexibility in addition to the core and hip flexor strength that made it possible, b/c clearly it requires quite a bit of flexibility in the hamstrings should also add I haven't tried the V-sit on the floor like summer is doing, only on dip bars and such
You are very inspiring, Summer. Self-taught! You are amazing. I'm about to turn 70 and you've got me believing I can learn to do some of this cool stuff! Never even tried when I was your age, but you got me trying now! Thank you for all you do!
I'm honestly a bit surprised you only have 96k subscribers. I just recently found your channel and I find your videos very well made and content is high quality and for everyone doing calisthenics. If you want to have my opinion about channel's future? Keep it up with good content and you will have 1 million subscribers eventually.
I recently started watching your videos and your training style is such a breath of fresh air! As a body builder I’ve been looking of ways to better challenge me and these have been great!
Summer, you are amazing and very inspiring. Your content is outstanding: vary high quality videos with excellent information. Thank you for making this available for free!
Hi I recently found your channel and I must say you're so inspiring and really doing a lot of new excercises compared to so many vids I already came across the last year. I'm surprised your channel just came up in my list just now. I subscribed right away. I'm very greatful for the follow along, it really helps!
Love the follow along workouts! Thanks, Summer! So inspiring and motivational watching you! Make me feel like I can achieve more than I ever thought I could ❤️
I started doing sports acrobatics very late at the age of 29 and the coach thought that teaching this element at my age was stupid because children master it in a couple of lessons. So I tried to perform it for about 5 years but it only worked with the help of elastic bands stretched to the ceiling. I am very grateful for this guide, now after 15 years I decided to finish off this element.
Your videos made me realize that as an amateur CrossFit’er I completely brushed over real mobility. I’m an absolute beginner here and it’s humbling to struggle with the bare minimum while you could a sandwich while doing this 😅
I can do a full 30 sec L-sit but i can't do a V-sit even if I stay on the floor. I don't manage to bring my face towards my feet since I don't have enough flexibility.
this is kinda cool, gonna force me to incorporate compression work directly into my push session; been doing all kinds of regular push excercises and then in the middle, l-sit-holds. sometimes a few core exercises in between if I felt weak in my core on that day, but no actual compression drills aimed at the v-sit directly before those attempts. gonna add this routine after the next push sesh, can't wait!
Excellent follow along. Love the progressions/regressions. Just from entertainment POV, I think it might help to talk just a little bit in each segment. Might help with holding people's attention throughout the process too.
doing this today 🤭 a lot of things happened so I’m not being able to be that consistent I still cannot hold an l sit for my life but I will get there!!
@Summerfunfitness Is there a calisthenics book that you would recommend? I am looking for one that would show a steady build up/progression of each specific exercise.
general all of your videos. I would not call this calenestics. There is seen huge inspiration by Ido Portal movement culture basics which so many youtubers copy paste on youtube. But you are amazing human being, teacher, focus on details its hardly seen to see someone when know what he is doing. Whish you all the best, whould be cool to met you one day :)
Is there a chance this is harder for ppl with long legs? 😂 I can do most other calisthenics moves nowdays but the l-sit is my final boss. I'm 193 cm and 90 kg at really low body fat and have an insane legs to body ratio with a rather ahort torso. I wonder if i will ever manage the l-sit. Even holding the position legs up is nearly impossible for me.
Hello 🤝 I am kind of trapped. My gymnastics coach gave me a lot of different exercises to achieve the "high angle" element. Over the course of 2 months, the number of repetitions has not increased even once, that is, not at all. Please tell me, should I ignore the number, continue training, is the number not a criterion in my case?
One can argue that that is not a V-sit but an I-sit! I often get cramps in my hip flexors (I think) when doing a V-sit. Why is that? What can I do about it?
It is unfathomable how difficult L-sits are. Thank for your leadership in creating this follow along routine for us lesser mortals. I will fight on.
never trained for V-sit, after about a year of doing L-sits regularly I just found I could do it.
Damn 😲 what’s your max lsit hold?
@@cocatezz never really tried to max it, but I would regularly do 30 secs
You had a good hand extension though, maybe you did back levers or smth similar ?

Eu tenho 69 anos. Fico encantado com a graciosidade dela quando demonstra os exercícios. Estou me esforçando para praticá-los e fazer catistenia.
This is my 3rd time doing this routine and I already notice a difference in my L sit time !

I couldn't quite keep up, I have some work to do. May do a few more videos before starting the class.
You can always pause the workout and cut it short when needed. Practice 2x a week until you're able to complete the full routine :)
Thank you!@@Summerfunfitness

Hey Summer! Just subscribed, can you do a video on walk overs?
Show 👏🏾👏🏾
That was great. Thanks so much. Wondering how often should i do this workout.
Repeat It once or twice a week and look for V sit improvement.
Can’t thank you enough. I’ve been loving this short but powerful workout. Hoping you continue with more like these ❤
@@rebella5769 just a reminder, I am not the video author. But thanks 🙂
An exercise I used on my road to V-sit was L-sit with a 5 kg plate on my ankles

I tried this and my hands hurt so bad I’ve tried dangling from the bar all sorts of stuff but my poor hands are so weak

Your hip flexor need more strengthening
Doing the bquad extensions should help you progress to a full v sit
Are you interested in a Collaboration
Anyone has any idea about her age?

All you need is flexibility.
