Its the only car i would use the infotainment. Every info u need is on the windshield, and u can set it up by BMW app. I tried 2018 WRX with apple car play, i rather stick my phone on the windshield.
Totally agree about the exhaust. My dad's friend has that M3, however, he went and got a custom exhaust made (wish I could post a pic of entire exhaust, beautiful welding!!) And it sounds epic!! Like seriously, seriously good. Sounds nothing like the stock one. Definitely worth paying for. Besides, if you have 62grand to buy a car then an exhaust is penny's to you lol
I suppose that these cars are not bad value at £60K (and their Audi and Merc near equivalents). They are still twice the price of a Golf R, Focus RS. It does beg the question as to why you would want more than an M3, when they have near supercar performance, take 4 in decent comfort, have sensible dimensions and are a masterclass in Germanic understatement.

I guess with cars, like everything else, you get diminishing returns to any factor. When you pay £20K for a new small car, you can generally see what extra you are getting than a £10K new car. The increase is performance will be useable every day. The same applies in a leap from £15K to £30K Golf R or equivalent. You have to pay increasingly large margins to get extra performance for expensive cars and that performance is less likely to be useable on our roads.

I LOVE bmws and especially the M3 but the exhaust is thrash :( You need an aftermarket exhaust if you want it to sound good I have a white one with the same int spec and the best driving selection is Steering wheel - comfort and everything else on sport+ (in my opinion)

Gray or silver with red interior is one of the classiest/"old money" combinations IMO. It doesn't look quite as spectacular on the BMW as it does on, say, a convertible Aston Martin or a 1965 Cadillac, but damned if it doesn't try its hardest to turn a boy racer with premium aspirations into something you'd expect a Rothschild to drive to a formal party. Not to say it isn't a good car, it's a great performance car and one of the best you can get with 4 doors, but with this color combo, it wouldn't look out of place right next to a black Phantom in the golf course valet lot.
I would sack a couple of the new presenters on the Top Gear team and employ Mat any day, keep up the good work mate. Loving the reviews! Car Wow is still great thought :)

Would never get the giulia QV over the M3, doesn't the M3 handle well enough for almost everyone? Thats only part where the M3 is not as good as the QV i know the Me has less power but how much power do you even need? so for me the M3 is basically better at everything else and in my opinion it looks much better especially in color which BMW offers its like audis nardo grey. The M3 is more luxurious, practical, spacious, better tech, and with an exhaust it sounds MUCH better than the QV.... If the QV was significantly cheaper then i would pick it over the germans but nah TYVM.

Road noise is also influenced by the size of the tires and the tire pressure. 20inch rims are obviously going to cause a lot of road noise. I feel like these RUclips car reviewers are ignorant about comfort and wanna focus on track performance, but then mid way into the review they want the best daily driving car. WTF? No track focused car can be a good daily
The Alfa lol. Turns out 4 years on the Alfa is as predicted totally unreliable as all Alfa’s before. I have owned my M3 for 5 years and can’t find anything to replace her. 40 thousand miles and not missed a beat.
Stay away from DCT in these cars. Get yourself a manual and you'll have a lot more fun. I've driven both and the manual is hands down the more fun option. Plus it will appreciate in the longer term as BMW have stopped offering manual for M3.

The road noise and ride quality is a lot better with 19-inch wheels. And damn that M3 is still so damn sexy after so many years.
With new tires only the ride quality is not bad. The 19 inch rimes are not cool.

The one caveat about the Alfa though is how well it holds up after long term ownership. Other than that Giulia all the way.

Would you spend your money on an Alpha? I know I wouldn't. The car might be great but it's a gamble from an ownership point of view.
I prefer my naturally aspirated e92 M3, V8 with 414hp, best steering feedback ever engineered and the exhaust noise to boot
