- Fall has given us it's first chill day of the year and it just happen to be the same day as Lester Loot's Fall Market 2022. This was more of a curated home goods market along with coffee & food. I would classify Lester Loot as a mini event because it is currently hosting under 50 venders but what great show! My sales goal was $500 because it was my first time setting up my vintage market booth at this event & it is a one day event, technically only 6 hours long. We crushed that goal! Rachel did a fabulous job curating, organizing and marketing this event. I wanted to show you all how I styled my 10x10 vintage booth and what I keep in my desk at a show but on a smaller scale. I hope you enjoyed this video on how to be a market vender or at least my take on it!

I did my first vintage market a week ago and honestly it’s all thanks to you! I’ve been watching your videos and follow you on instagram for about a year now and I’ve been so inspired! It was a smaller scale show but we put our heart into it with making wall back drops to set the tone and it really profited. Thanks for being so inspiring and transparent about this fun business!

Booth looked great!!! My daughter and I have this tent as well. We use 10lb bar bell weights on the legs to hold down the tent in windy areas and on regular streets that you can't stake down.

I’ve only done two little markets so far and I’m addicted to them, even though it’s exhausting! I’ve been combing over my neighbor’s displays for ideas. One of the coolest things I’ve seen is a few people laying out a rug as a ‘floor’, which really tied their space together, and the others that sell vintage clothing have constructed little dressing rooms within the tent with a mirror inside. They’re just boards with fabric stretched around to make a small box with a zipper. Also, I’ve been seeing people tie rope or string across the top of their tent wall to hang old photos and sometimes lightweight art. Tents are challenging but kinda fun! I’m used to a booth with walls so it’s cool to be forced to think outside the ‘box’ lol.
Oh and I ran out of table space last time so I just chucked a tablecloth over my biggest bin. Presto.
I really liked several of your items for sale. If I was in America I would have definitely drove several hours to pick those items up. Thank you for sharing.
Amanda, your 10 by 10 looks amazing, have you considered doing this(markets) more often or is it too much labor? ALSO, always go with your GUT. Been learning that the hard way with my business lately and LOVE that you have Mike who is a supportive partner in all of your endeavors. Your embrace towards the end, really warmed my heart. Go MIKE GO!

Cute video! Everything seemed so much more relaxed and fun and it all came together “Amanda-style”. You do great not over thinking things. I love that large black vase you had in your vase-you have an eye for picking out treasures. It must be so fun going treasures shopping.

Hello, I always enjoy your selling videos. Suggestion: have some pre-printed forms made up just for your business. E.G. "Tasks to be completed for show" and "Items needed for show or staging, etc. (Titles need work). But they would be a great help.

couple of questions ....do your customers get an itemized receipt? Do you document every item you sell? Guess that would be covered if you gave customer a receipt. Just curious as to how you keep up with what you sell
