If you have ever had sleep paralysis like Matt then you know exactly what he is trying to say. I’ve dealt with it my entire life and as a kid it was way worse with the hallucinations. I would have killer clowns dancing around me and giant spiders trying to wrap me up to eat lol. Sometimes I would be in sleep paralysis while my family was in the room watching tv and would try to yell for them to wake me up but no matter how hard I would try I couldn’t. Being awake and not being able to move or talk is a the scariest feeling. Best thing you can do is try to relax and go back to sleep to try to get out of it.
I experience it from time to time. Usually when Im extremely stressed. Its horrifying. I always know its happening because I can see and hear everything going on around me but when I try to respond or move, its like my head weighs 1000 lbs and is stuck to my pillow. My family says when it happens I will start trying to sit up but my head stays on the bed and that it looks like someone has my head pinned down but not the rest of my body. Im not articulating it very well, lol. It just scares the hell out of me when it happens and Im always sore and exhausted when I finally come out of it. Also, I know I hallucinate because I will mutter things or scream about seeing things. But I can never remember that part.
@@FigNasty208100% everyone’s afraid and says it’s ghosts! or supernatural crap, but it’s the best thing whenever I get it and just use it to go into a lucid dream
Anyone else remember that other weird story Bobby told Joey on The Church about the Belly Room? Supposedly he saw a bunch of famous people/comedians walking up to a room in weird clothing and he followed and peaked in and saw some weird ritual taking place. I believe it was on that same episode that was showed here of Bobby with the piano bit
There was one story I heard on RUclips with a female comedian and she talks about sleeping on the couch in the comedy store and waking up to old ball room dancing music, she said she looked out onto the floor and there was 100 people in old outfits dancing. She said she ran out and called the cops I think? Then when they walked inside it was empty and dead quiet. She might of not called the cops she might of just walked back in after a few minutes, I don't remember that last part.
Bro! I have to give you credit for making a spooky compilation for Halloween. Do you keep a spread sheet or is your brain a steal trap? Thanks for another year of your hard work keeping me really entertained!
Happy Halloween man, thanks for your channel and your style it’s brought my household a ton of laughs and awesome comedy news that’s very accessible and digestible. Keep it up!😊
The documentary Shane mentions while Matt is telling his story is called "The Nightmare" 2015. It combines a bunch of interviews with people who have sleep paralysis and present them through rein enactments. I highly reccomend checking it out!
The craziness about Matt talking about sleep paralysis. Mine happens the same way. The brain shocks. It’s like an electrical shock right in your skull and it sounds like thunder. It’ll start with one, then three, then it starts getting faster and goes without stopping until you start having visions. I had no idea until I was 32 years old that other people didn’t experience these brain shocks. I ended up telling my doctor, he scheduled an MRI and as it turns out it’s a condition called chiari malformation. What it is is my brain sits too low in my skull and my cerebellum is pulled through the bottom of my skull and is being constricted by my skull itself. This area of the brain is responsible for motor function, vision, balance, etc. When you lay the wrong way with chiari malformation you’re putting pressure on the cerebellum causing brain shocks, rapid eye movement, issues with your nerves, etc.,
Sleep paralysis is basically a night terror... I'm from the UK and I have never heard of any adult experiencing this but I know family members who went through it as a kid but they don't remember what happened... It's only because people tell them what was happening or if they've been video taped while in the dream. The stories make it sound much scarier than it is by the sounds of it and it seems like they like exaggerating everything even though they know they're lying through their teeth
@@four-twenty4205Matt always sounds like he's trying too hard to be cool lol. But sleep paralysis is real, and I've only had it as an adult (as far as I can remember). I didn't have those pulsing sounds, but my eyes were open and I'd see shadows. Scared the crap outta me lol
@McKeeNJackson ??? I can sleep in any position and never get dreams. Ppl like you that just spread misinformation about "mostly everyone" are interesting
Oh… my God. I am so shook by the George Lopez story because when I was younger, the place I was living in I had the exact same experiences. I’ve never heard anyone else ever say they saw a green faced “thing!”
Really? (1) Cause I think they were fng around&that was the grinch. (2) Bobby tapped his girl b/c she was responding credulously. (3) I really wish GL didn’t do that. (4) He was also so casual about certain things which I imagine comes from him being close to the cIub(I put^1s of HSThmpsn,GWB,&StatofLib cIubactivities/cnnctns). (5) Btw, I’m not trying to promote myseIf, I just truly want the info out.
@@G_v._Losinj2_ImportantPlaylist Nah, Bobby regressed to his standard behaviour, touring with him. That over the top amazement, hanging on every word of bullshit coming out of that fragile, low IQ, narcissistic, scumbag, boss of his. George needing that artificial validation makes sense, considering every single part of him & his life, is a lie.
One night I woke up not in my bed with my arm around my backpack. I got scared and went back to bed. When I laid in the bed I swear there was a black figure of a super tall guy in the doorway. I shot up and searched the whole house. Finally I gave up looking and went back to bed. The next morning my wife woke up and said she had a crazy dream about a tall guy looking in our bedroom doorway.😢
I used to get sleep paralysis at least once a month. I mastered getting out of it. If you struggle to gain control of your body, try this next time. Don't try to lift your arms/legs or anything. Just focus on wiggling your fingers or toes. That will unlock the rest of your body. Works every time! Anyone I've shared this with has been blown away. No matter how scary it is or what you think you are seeing, just stay calm and focus on just your fingers or toes. 👌 Hope this helps 🙏
Joey Diaz & Bobby Lee when they talked about ghost stories in that calm setting , is literally all i want to listen & fall asleep to with a storm outside , please make more of that !
I can definitely relate to Matt cause I’ve had sleep paralysis since I was a kid. At this point I know it’s all in my head and to not think of anything “scary”. When you start panicking and thinking you’re going to see something your mind makes it visible which is the hallucination. Sometimes it feels so damn real, but if you can’t move or get up it’s not real. I’ve had some paranormal experiences outside of sleep paralysis too though, but you would be surprised at how much your mind could play tricks on you when your half asleep which is what triggers sleep paralysis.
Me and my twin brother were born on the 31st of October so Halloween...he has a lot of sleep paralysis but I only had it once but I can lucid dream... And nightmares hurt when I'm injured in them but now I know when something's wrong and it's about to turn into a nightmare and I just wake the fuck up. Life is strange...
Man, we are not only meat and bones, it may sound wacky, but try praying , meditating or reading about vajrayana buddhism. I was an atheist but by age 30 started looking into the spiritual world and a lot of things makes sense
The hat man sleep paralysis story spooked me because it reminded me of my experience - I’ve only had sleep paralysis once and I saw this tall shadow man at the foot of my bed and I thought I was getting lifted up by my ankles. It was like I imagined the worst scenario and it started manifesting and coming true in my dream, and it was also surreal because I could see every detail of the corner of the room exactly as it was when I woke up. So yeah that was just one time, but now I like to dream about partying and going on adventures just having a good time when I’m not able to in real life
In like 1995, my cousin told me about an experience he had at our grandmas house. We were like 8-9 years old at the time. He said he would wake up paralyzed and witness a man with a hat and trenchcoat standing in the doorway watching him sleep. I always thought it was a creepy story. Fast forward to like 2016 or something. When I hear about the “hat man” phenomenon. That creeps me out so much. Before the internet, before it was possible that his mind was influenced by stories, he had this experience and told me about it. I’ve since been sooo interested in the psychology of “hat man” and why it happens.
My bed faced the door/hallway in the early 90’s and I saw the hat man until I was 14 and we moved to another house. It scared the shit out of me I used to pound on the wall to wake my parents up from the next room. This was early internet and definitely before I was online regularly. I never told anyone what I was seeing. Was scary as shit to later in life find the hat man stuff online. I truly believe somehow that thing is real. Many of us saw it before we could talk about it collectively online
YEARS before "sleep paralysis" was common parlance, my best friend told me about the hat man that used to follow her around as a child at night. She would fall asleep in her room, it would torment her, then she'd run to her mom's room for help and it would just stand in the doorway. She said she would be under her mom's arms and there he'd be-- just watching.
Matt’s experience with “sleep paralysis” is crazy cuz I get some of that when I’m super sick and can’t sleep. Huge pulsating sensations like jump scares and shit. Don’t know how to describe it but it’s like someone is trying to punch you in the face but they’re just missing. I have seen some creepy faces too lol never seen anything with my eyes open
The "jolt" or "pulse" feeling described is the best I've heard it stated...it's a hard feeling to explain but I know exactly what he's saying. I know when I'm about to have sleep paralysis because of said feeling
@@vikinginspace4881 I've never experienced that one actually..I've only ever "seen", though if I'm honest it was more of a sensing of, something like a quickly moving shadow or oppressive presence 2 times. And it's a rarity that I have sleep paralysis now. I'm 27 and didn't have my first sleep paralysis experience until I was probably about 21ish..in that time I've had it happen about..15-20 times maybe..only ever felt that "presence" twice. One being the very first time I experienced SP.
@@xInsanityx100 Never have had a lucid dream..nor have I done the silly "Astral projecting"..nor do I believe any one has. Except Lil Dalton in Insidious of course.
I’ve had dreams where I’m literally dreaming that I’m laying in bed in the position that I am actually in (really weird to begin with, like dreaming that I’m sleeping in the actual position I am laying in) and a spooky person has ran up and gotten right up in my face before. Luckily I can usually think “fuck this” and wake myself up lol. Really weird and definitely gets your heart racing for a minute after you wake up.
About maybe 5 years ago I was travelling through Europe with my then partner and her son. On the night in question we were in a hotel in Paris. The building had operated in the hotel for some 400 years and was pretty cool. Less cool when there are so many stairs and no elevator (that was the true horror :P) But anyway the evening was nice and all was okay and we went to bed. I had this very vivid dream of this very tall lean guy in a black coat standing in our room. He then went over to Connor (my partner's son)'s be and he took him by the hand and started to lead him out the door. I woke up in a panic and looked across the room to his empty bed and then to the door and saw him sleep walking right out the door. Caught him just in time before he disappeared to god knows where.
I'm glad comedians like Bobby Lee are cool with talking about their own stories and not too worried how they're viewed for believing in their stories. I've had plenty of experiences myself and until it happens to you it's definitely hard to believe but once you have that first true encounter it'll be something you'll never forget and it almost becomes a drug in trying to find more evidence. Best way to have an experience is to go somewhere you feel could be haunted and sit there quietly for an hour and see what happens.
My best friend told me when was 12 he made a new friend at school and slept over at his house a few times. Their family lived in a real old house in the oldest part of our town right down the street from the cemetery. Both times he stayed there he woke up in the middle of the night and heard someone walking down the hallway outside the bedroom door. He didn't get much sleep because it freaked him the hell out, he knew everyone was asleep and he didn't hear any of their bedroom doors open or anything..... just footsteps, slowly walking down the hallway on the creaking wooden floor. He told his friend the next morning and they didn't really want to talk about it, they basically just said "yeah... next time try to ignore it and go back to sleep." He never stayed the night there again after that.
I worked security downtown, overnight, in Minneapolis. Scary already right? One of the buildings I had to do rounds in was Renaissance Square. The middle section used to be open and there were deaths from falls on the inside of the building. Never saw anything. But everything was just odd in the building.... chairs moved, cameras cut off, elevators did the STRANGEST things.... lights with switches and not controlled by timers just came on and off randomly....
To when Andre was talking about "why isn't there a ghost in this room right now?" I understand his point but that's like saying "why isn't there a cake in this room right now?" you need the recipe and the right circumstances to come together for certain things to occur and no matter how much most people think they know how to summon the supernatural they probably only know a few ingredients and not the full recipe.
This is an interesting take, I never really considered before that there needed to be several circumstances all coming together for ghost experiences to happen.
I've had sleep paralysis 3 times and the suffocating part is terrifying. I could only see my ceiling so no ghosts. I've slung myself to fully awake flying off the bed. It only happens when i fall asleep not meaning to.
I've had sp twice. Once I couldn't breathe. Like I couldn't get air. I felt like I was being choked or suffocated. I couldn't come out of it. That was the 2nd time. The first time I tried to call out for my friend but came out as a whisper instead of scream. Never had the scary shit others have had with the hat man and shit!
@@bunnyluver2176 so damn weird you made this comment today as I had another episode this morning. Trying to yell or move was impossible this time. It feels like suffocating. I thought it was a dream but it def wasn't. I had cover over my face that made it scarier.
Omfgggg the description he used for knowing he is entering sleep paralysis is exactly how I feel and would describe it, like I keep falling forward and entering sleep but snapping back awake over and over like my head is weakly surging. Lmaoo it felt like he spoke to me I had to comment
I had some sleep paralysis once years ago, the night of a major solar eclipse. I was woken up in the middle of the night to a feeling of complete terror. It was intense irrational fear. There were two shadows standing at the foot of my bed, silhouettes of darkness darker than the room around. One of them was grabbing the wrist of my right arm, and was pulling me out of bed. I could see my body being pulled up, but i could not move. I had an instinct to push out with energy of directed will, through my hand into the being. It let go. I was laying there, still paralyzed. As i gave way to the fear, these silhouettes seem to materialize further, becoming even darker. I noticed the correlation between my fear and their manifestation, and then consciously let go of my fear and relaxed. I then went to bed. I was woken up later that same night, by the very same gripping fear. But knowing what to do, and not wanting to be bothered i just let go of the fear, and went to bed.
This is the kind of thing that sounds so outrageous... until it happens to you, haha. Now, I have never seen a ghost (that I can 100% say for sure) but for about 6 weeks we experienced what I can only describe as intense poltergeist-like activity in our 101 year old home. Stuff would go flying off shelves, scoot around on the countertops, books getting shoved around on the bookshelf, small items on our nightstands would get pushed off in the middle of the night. Crazy stuff. Then it all stopped. No tremors, no carbon monoxide, changes in medication, EMF, etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Good comp. I have had at least 5 encounters like this in my life and while spooky, some downright terrifying. It's always kinda fun and exciting like Eric says.
There was a time where I felt COMPLETELY hopeless. Over the years, I always told myself that it was sleep paralysis. It had to have been but, after hearing other people’s sleep paralysis experiences, it’s considerably different than mine, while theirs always involve similar figures/silhouettes. (The hatman, shadow people, that type of thing). - I was 18, I was sleeping in my bedroom but then I woke up suddenly. I remember being on my back for a second, I looked at my window that was on my right and there was a soft blue light coming through my curtain so I knew it was probably sometime between 4:30-5:30 in the morning. So I was like “damn it’s early”, then I rolled over to my left and shut my eyes to try and sleep again. Moments after I shut my eyes, I heard rapid female whispering in my right ear. And I started to really listen to it because I’m wondering “what in the hell?” I didn’t have my TV on, I didn’t have anything playing in my room, I only had my box fan turned on, on my nightstand. Then clear as day, I heard a girl in fear, almost trembly like- say the words “watch out she’s right behind you!!” And then I realized that all of the rapidly whispered words, were those SAME words, “she’s right behind you!” All over lapping each other almost, kind of like a crowded room. I opened my eyes in a complete shock of fear, and rolled back over to my right.. and RIGHT THERE, at the side of my bed, next to my box fan, I saw a white dress/gown type deal at my eye level while lying down. I remember looking up at this persons face, and all I saw was long black hair draped over a woman’s face. When I was trying to look at her eyes, she slightly bent down to bring her face to mine, pulled her hair to the sides to expose her face, and then she just SCREAMED at the top of her lungs directly at my face. It felt like the scream lasted a solid 10 seconds maybe? And then it was like I was snapped back into reality? I don’t remember the process of waking up at all. It was literally just the screaming in my face, to me sitting up or lying down in my bed, daylight shining into my room and everything. I was still scared shitless and extremely confused. I could NOT tell if I was actually awake for the first couple minutes after the screaming. It could’ve been a genuine nightmare, it could’ve been sleep paralysis, I’m not sure. I will note that I never experience sleep paralysis ever. Not in my entire life. It just really really throws me off because the details of my room were exactly the way my room was, when I saw the early morning light shining through. I would love to hear opinions on this because as real as it was to me, it’s still mysterious yet terrifying to me.
I drove down a back road with my brother around 2am. car was in front of us for a few miles. suddenly it turned left before a speed bump. we lived on this road, hated the speed bump. there is no left turn there. it's open fields fenced off with barbed wire and about 10 feet of woodline. that's a ghost story. it wasn't exciting, there's no added fluff, it was just simply unexplainable.
@@MamaMia84oo7 yes that's a true story I brought it up with my brother last night and minds blown all over again. we drove back and forth looking for the tiniest opening (this is the country and we can spot trails) also saw an old friend last night who reminded us of another situation. we (teenagers) basically took care of ourselves. my friend is a saint in my mother's eyes, and he really is, but he would pop his head in our fridge for a snack but he was always super shy about it(we were poor, not important to the story). we realized he would only do it when our mother left home so we'd always give him a hard time about it. one night he popped that fridge door open and we snapped a polaroid and we laughed our tails off about showing it to moms until the photo "dried" and there is a detached eyeball in the corner of the photo, looking at him. we grabbed butter knives and empty paintball guns and got in a corner ready for battle. it was funny but the creepiest thing I've ever seen and we were legit afraid. there are varying opinions on those "orbs" you used to see with polaroids. I personally do believe it's just dust or light reflecting but nah son our photo was a whole eyeball it wasn't bright it was pretty saturated for that era. I don't recall what happened to the photo (of course right?) this was about twenty years ago. I have several stories with people who witnessed the same thing I did. I've seen a UFO (not an alien spaceship, we couldn't identify this thing and the technology didn't exist then nor now) I've had "encounters" with bigfoot, never laid a solid eye - probably just a rare black bear doing bigfoot things
Dude i trully believe dreams are another kinda mutliverse that we slip into when we sleep, and hell maybe thats what ghost are. For example matt rolling up on those three kids while he was having sleep paralysis, idk just sent chills down my spin
Santino is the most relatable personally. Felt many things personally, but seen few. As a baby i was picked up from my crib and placed on the floor 10 feet away. Weeks later my dad saw someone standing in the doorway, grabbed his gun and they were gone.
I feel better knowing another person totally understands my sleep paralysis experiences, but also feel a little creeped out to know another person is able to describe the way it feels to fall asleep and see the same man in my room on the same night as someone 1,000 miles away sees him in their room, too. I'd like to know if this usually happens more in one location as it happens if they're in a different environment, or is it consistent no matter where they decide to sleep????
I never really saw a ghost but I’ve got weird vibes. My grandma cleaned at a church when I was a kid and being alone inside the alter room just felt spooky. Being the only one in the church it felt spooky, a lot of funerals took place there. I lost my grandpa last year and I felt like he was with me. My mom got the call at like 3am he was unresponsive her and my dad rushed over. I stayed home to watch our dogs and they didn’t want me to see that. I got drunk and sat on the porch in denial. I felt like something was hugging me or something just this warm feeling like I was wrapped in a blanket. I heard the voice in my head telling me everything is alright I’m in a better place it’s gonna be fine. I got pissed what do you mean it’s gonna be fine my grandpa isn’t dead, he taught me to hunt and fish I grew up at his farm hunting with my cousins every weekend. I couldn’t accept it but something was telling me he’s gone. I felt he was there with me but I was still in denial I didn’t accept it till my dad told me he was gone and this was real. One of the hardest days of my life. I lost my aunt after a surgery, she was sent home and took a nap and never woke up. She had two kids she adopted and they found her dead and called my mom asking what to do. We were on the way to eat at a restaurant and I’ll never forget the gasp my mom made and the sobbing. It was fucking rough, just the sudden change from everything is perfect to just pure tragedy. I miss her a lot because anytime she came around she’d let me have fun, she’d convince my mom to let my stay up late. She’s the aunt that would have bought me beer
The scariest thing I've ever heard was in my Psych class in college. We learned that about 10% of EVERYONE'S memories are actually dreams. 10% is baseline, it could be higher with sustained drug use. Scary shit, man.
Love how you put Lopez and Bert at the end thank you. You should have figured out a way to warp the fabric of reality to stop either of them from ever existing outside of hell but putting them at the end at least was decent of you
They call them sleep paralysis demons for a reason, just saying. Ive had sleep paralysis since i was in high-school(28 now) and ive experienced some freaky shit..
When Matt describes his sleep paralysis, I can relate to the part where he talks about waking up stuck in a loop. I’ve had that happen to me a few times when I was going through a lot of life changes. I started experiencing dream loop paralysis or false awakenings. It was very weird and intense.
Sleep paralysis is honestly cool but terrifying at the same time. Sometimes for w.e reason usually happens in the middle of the night I’ll wake up and can’t move a single muscle and to make it even worse I can’t talk. Only lasts for about a minute but damn does it creep me out every time it happens.😂
I had the exact same experience while camping as Sals. Counted to 3. No one was there. No foot prints in the snow. Nothing. Stayed up all night but I had a knife in my chest holder and I was just being pestered over and over. Fucking terrifying.
The sleep paralysis he was explaining used to happen to me almost exactly like he described, except I was high on oxycontin when it would start. It would start just like he said. I would be paralyzed and slowly floating up, could see me and my gf sleeping but couldn't wake up, couldn't move, and kept floating farther and farther away. It was actually very peaceful but I thought it was me dying so I'd get scared after a bit and could kinda control my breathing. So i would breathe really fast to try to make a noise and eventually my gf would wake me up, she'd have to shake me and BAM, back in my body awake and could remember everything. Still not sure what to make of it and that was 15yrs ago. Nothin to do with ghosts but he described it so well I had to say that.
Sleep paralysis is condition caused by a state of REM your brain prevents your muscles and limbs moving while you asleep so you don't act out out hurt yourself while dreaming. So basically brain has woken but your body hasn't, it's quiet common can be brought on by insomnia. Also ghosts aren't real, so if you're seeing any kind of apparitions you're just still dreaming.
@pandica745 cherish your twin brother man. I have younger brothers that were identical twins, did everything together, had a connection similar to what you and your brother have, and always had each other's backs no matter what it was (one broke both his ankles in college so the other wore him like a backpack everywhere they went lol). They both became very successful, great people. Two years ago we lost my brother Nick, still hurts to even say his name. But his twin is destroyed, they had a bond I can never understand and he's lost without him.
Matt's story reminded me of something that happened when I was a kid. In a dream, I woke up, walked out to the kitchen, and my mom was on her knees going through the pots cabinet. Then I woke up, went out to the kitchen, Mom sorting pots and pans, etc. Three or four times dreaming of the same loop. Finally I woke up for real, walked out to the kitchen, and there was my mom. Same clothes, on the floor sorting through the pots and pans. I waited all day to wake up again convinced I was still dreaming but I wasn't. Freaked me out, I still can't explain what happened.
Great idea for a video. We went on a ghost hunt at an abandoned hospital with some of our friends. I am a nonbeliever. So we are standing in a room together, people are using their machines and taking pics, and all of a sudden I feel super cold and sick. Didn’t really find anything obvious that night. Days later they send me a pic in a text. I open it, and in the pic there is what looks like an 8 foot tall black shadow right behind me. Enveloping me. I know what I felt and I will never forget it.
10:04 it’s a rich man. Top hats were expensive and only rich men really bought afforded and took care of them as a symbol of status and wealth. So instead of the brain going that’s just a common man/ghoul it thinks it’s a distinguished man/high ranking man/ important being. - the top hats were often made of beaver fur so they were somewhat waterproof and more expensive then other types of hats.
I had a similar experience staying in a haunted hotel without realizing it. My experience is that I went to the bathroom in the lobby and I could not get out of the stall. It eventually opened after about a good minute of trying. I found out that it was a hospital in the civil war, and human remains were found in that location when it was being renovated. It turns out the remains were amputated limbs of soldiers.
I remember that ep of Matt saying how he thought he was awake and was walking in another house and saw 3 kids in a bed, said hey and the kids freaking out. Some guy commenting that Matt is such a shaman that he Astral projected ass naked into someone's house and terrified some small children on accident.
Sleep paralysis is a trip. It can be scary in the moment, but it’s just like Matt described it: you feel refreshed when you wake up. You’re just happy to finally be in reality. Whenever I get the paralysis, I’ll “wake up” about 10 times before I actually wake up. It feels so relieving when you actually do wake up.
I've seen ghosts...most times nothing bad happened, but this house I used to live in for 5 months 12 years ago was literally a horror story in real life..still have nightmares about that place to this day.
I spent my teenage years living with my grandfather in a very remote town in Australia in a "shack" that my pop renovated back in the 80's, few years before this story my uncle died tragically in a drowning when he was 29... as a result he was cremated and remained in an urn in my grandfather's room, anyways one night I was about fifteen years old laying in my bed and I heard unfamiliar footsteps walking down the hallway I could recognise my pop walking down the hall because he is a big dude with a f***** knee so his footsteps reflect that anyways I look at the space between my door and the floor and there is this bright like super bright light so I get up to investigate and as I open the door a loud sucking noise rattles the shack and the light got sucked out of the house, that's the only way I can describe it..this happened 14 years ago and I have never forgotten a single detail..I see it in my head like it happened yesterday, I was never a big believer but after that night I definitely keep an open mind
I'm such a sucker for paranormal stories. I find the hatman and the Old Hag phenomenon endlessly fascinating as my brother had experience with the Old Hag for a brief time. I also lived in an old apartment that always had a really bad vibe in my bedroom. Sleeping alone, I always felt like someone was lurking in the hallway. When I was bed one night, I was jolted/shocked awake and my then gf was laying, staring at the hallway; and said "yeah, I feel it too", completely unprompted. One time she claimed that an oscillating fan had "jumped" off the fridge, like it was making a leap for the nearby sink. It was weird because my previous gf had claimed the exact same thing had happened to her, she had even made sure I knew the fan had jumped; I had thought she just wanted attention. I'm not entirely unconvinced that I haven't had a jealous spirit attachment from when I used a Ouija board when I was 12 years old. Us stupid kids had contacted something that claimed to be a 12 year old girl who had died in a vehicle accident, and one day it asked us to draw a door on our Ouija and invite her/it into the room. We obliged and we asked for proof of their presence. I remember my sister freaking out at as we felt a breeze in the dusty attic/bedroom we were in, and that set off a chain reaction of freaking out and we all fled down the attic's steep wooden stairs. There was some really strange, dark stuff that happened in that attic later that year. I often wonder if I'm victim of fallible human memory, and built a story in my head to help rationalize an event I've subverted in my own mind. That was a foundational year for me, and so many memories of being 12 are still clear, so I don't know. I've sometimes thought of using a Ouija board again, to see if I could contact that same young girl.
I have 5 spooky memes from my life. 1. I live in a cabin in the woods alone and used to sleep in the loft. One night I heard the sound of a mouth opening and closing a couple times. I could hear the saliva clicking. I had no pets at the time. I thought maybe it was a spider because I've had a tarantula get inside before. 2. When I lived in Bull Shoals I took a nap during the middle of the day and ended up having sleep paralysis. When I looked towards the only window in the room I saw a beautiful young girl who was maybe 20-23 years old standing there. She had random shining lines of spider webs in her hair and on her white dress. She was smiling and then just slowly faded into the light that was shining in through the window. I snapped myself out of the sleep paralysis and just breathed. It was one of the most peaceful moments of my entire life. Reminds me of that episode of Pokemon with the Ghost of Maidens Peak. 3. Again at the cabin in the woods but this time I was sleeping downstairs in the bedroom. I had just woken up and it was like 7 AM but my eyes were still closed because I didn't really want to get up yet. All of a sudden I felt the presence of someone walking up to the doorway and just standing there. I was so scared that I genuinely didn't have the balls to open my eyes and look. I waited like 30 seconds and then opened my eyes but no one was there. 4. I was at my friend Wurtz house with a few friends and we all decided to go smoke a bowl of some devil's lettuce out back on his deck. It was like 10 PM. Wurtz mom hated me so I could only be there if she were gone. Well while we were smoking we were all being quiet and all of a sudden we all heard a womans voice from inside the house saying an entire sentence or two and then a mans voice responding to the woman. I looked at Wurtz terrified and he looked at me terrified because he thought his mom would be gone until the next day and I was scared because I would've had to run down the street before his mom saw me there. Wurtz opened the door and went inside and we all slowly followed behind him to see if it was his mom or maybe his sisters but no one was inside and the TV was off. We were all in agreement that we heard a man and a woman inside. We immediately grabbed the car keys and left to stay at my house that night instead lol. 5. Again at the house in Bull Shoals I had sleep paralysis. It was early in the morning and I knew my mom was coming down to visit that day. During paralysis I heard the door leading to the garage open and then close and then I heard a woman scream at the top of her lungs and then I heard the door open again and then close again. I snapped myself out of the paralysis and lied there and said "Hello? Mom?" but there was no response. I got up and looked around the house and in the garage but no one was there but me. I think that might've been the same girl from the window I mentioned earlier but maybe she was having a bad morning lol. It has now been years since I've experienced anything spooky. I live alone in the cabin in the woods.
Bobby’s story being having paper evidence is kinda wild. Pete gray won a lawsuit against the comedy store and all his comedy clips on here are from like 15 years ago
I've also had sleep paralysis with the sexual aspect..... I mean you're always presented with a person YOUD be attracted to because it's your mind right? But it's like Matt's comments about relaxing and realizing it's a dream..... I reached a point where when I had these dreams and realized it. The lady that was there would start getting angry.... at one point I was presented with some men and other women also.... I opted out..... The main lady at that point slapped a part of the wall and it turned into a lit up square..... I woke up to sleep paralysis and heard a door close.... which is common and explained away easily. But this was a screen door sliding.... that tiny aspect is what freaked me out the most.....
There were some great ones told back on the Crabfeast. I remember Joe Koy's and Karen Kilgariff's in particular, as well as Sickler having a good one of his own
the story about the shadow man wearing a top hat gave me goosebumps. Years ago when I was still in high school, we lived in a haunted ass house. We skipped school one day and returned home after my parents left for work so we can play video games. As we played video games, in the corner of my peripheral, you can make out a shadow of a man with a top hat. He would lean in from the door to watch us. My cousin asked if I saw that and I acknowledged. We ignored it as it repeatedly peeked from behind the door and then back out. We made the decision to book it so on the count of three, we turned off the console and ran out of the house. 100% true

I always thought it was an old hag sitting on your chest. 👻

Damn... full body goosebumps bro 😨☠️
This is a top notch video hands down. I would definitely like to see more holiday compilations in this format. Keep up the good work!
Joey Diaz & Bobby Lee when they talked about ghost stories in that calm setting , is literally all i want to listen & fall asleep to with a storm outside , please make more of that !
This might be my favorite Joke Wrld vid to date.

So yeah that was just one time, but now I like to dream about partying and going on adventures just having a good time when I’m not able to in real life
Everytime I dream and that hatman appeared he's always protecting me from what in the dream is trying to harm me almost like he's a family member
Did you feel like a huge invisible weight was pushing down on you pinning you to the bed?
@@vikinginspace4881 I've never experienced that one actually..I've only ever "seen", though if I'm honest it was more of a sensing of, something like a quickly moving shadow or oppressive presence 2 times. And it's a rarity that I have sleep paralysis now. I'm 27 and didn't have my first sleep paralysis experience until I was probably about 21ish..in that time I've had it happen about..15-20 times maybe..only ever felt that "presence" twice.
One being the very first time I experienced SP.

The guy in the top hat Bobby saw in the window was probably Pauly Shore. 😂

Same bro!
Awesome concept. Would love to see a part 2.
Sounds like bro was astral projecting.

My sleep paralysis demon is an old man in a suit with a wide brimmed hat. Crazy
Look up the hat man

I drove down a back road with my brother around 2am. car was in front of us for a few miles. suddenly it turned left before a speed bump. we lived on this road, hated the speed bump. there is no left turn there. it's open fields fenced off with barbed wire and about 10 feet of woodline. that's a ghost story. it wasn't exciting, there's no added fluff, it was just simply unexplainable.
I like that story. Is this a true story?
Bert gets so drunk he blacks out and sleeps with random people.
Or it’s just his wife 😂
3:17 😂😂 Bobby's korean lullaby
Dude i trully believe dreams are another kinda mutliverse that we slip into when we sleep, and hell maybe thats what ghost are. For example matt rolling up on those three kids while he was having sleep paralysis, idk just sent chills down my spin
no lol
This is what happens when you watch too much rick and morty.
That's interesting
Such bullshit lol
how could you possibly prove that?
you can't and it's bullshit@@KrikZ32
Love how you put Lopez and Bert at the end thank you. You should have figured out a way to warp the fabric of reality to stop either of them from ever existing outside of hell but putting them at the end at least was decent of you
Right...can't stand bert
Yeah same only sometimes to me I don’t get the ghosts but it’s just the not moving part
Sounds like you where astral projecting
@pandica745 cherish your twin brother man. I have younger brothers that were identical twins, did everything together, had a connection similar to what you and your brother have, and always had each other's backs no matter what it was (one broke both his ankles in college so the other wore him like a backpack everywhere they went lol). They both became very successful, great people. Two years ago we lost my brother Nick, still hurts to even say his name. But his twin is destroyed, they had a bond I can never understand and he's lost without him.
@anthonypeer2429 idk, think it was the drugs (I was young n stupid)
They like to get the non-believers 😅
10:04 it’s a rich man. Top hats were expensive and only rich men really bought afforded and took care of them as a symbol of status and wealth. So instead of the brain going that’s just a common man/ghoul it thinks it’s a distinguished man/high ranking man/ important being. - the top hats were often made of beaver fur so they were somewhat waterproof and more expensive then other types of hats.
Brett Ernst had a wild one that fits the description of Gus at the Comedy Store on an episode of the Crabfeast
Is Crabfest still out there? Seems like there are quite a few haunting tales 👻
Awesome vid! More vids about holidays please!
Happy Halloween! Thank you I was looking for Halloween comedy related content for my work day. I also binged all the L.O.S halloween eps.
You should listen to The Thing Is podcast. Lots of comedians share scary stories on there!
You did a great job putting this together and it’s an awesome idea. Many thanks
I've seen ghosts...most times nothing bad happened, but this house I used to live in for 5 months 12 years ago was literally a horror story in real life..still have nightmares about that place to this day.
Jim Norton should be in here. He was on one of those ghost story tv shows.
I remember that one. Vegas mob hit. Appeared in his room 👻
He was on O&A talking about how he completely made it up. It’s on RUclips, it’s pretty funny.
@@darinlowney3392 So its no different from any other ghost story.
@@nullakjg767well this made up story was also about one of his dumb charachters he does on o&a. So it was a bit extra 😂
🎉 🔥 banger bruh !!! Lmfao
Just came to remind everyone that Bert is annoying.
Shane is top Dawg
Tony Hinchcliffe absolutely loves handicapped comedians
I see no lies
ok
What a great idea for a vid. Good work broski
😮😮 regarding Matt's story..... what if when he went in the room and the kids were screaming they saw him as a top hat figured man?
It’s bad feng shui to have your kids sleep downstairs while you sleep upstairs
My sleep paralysis guy wears a large black Fedor hat, dressed all in black and long black overcoat and I could hear his shoes coming towards me.
There were some great ones told back on the Crabfeast. I remember Joe Koy's and Karen Kilgariff's in particular, as well as Sickler having a good one of his own
I would love to hear their spooky tales 👻
the story about the shadow man wearing a top hat gave me goosebumps. 100% true
The Hat Man. It's real. They did a documentary about it. I've seen him too.
@@nikkic.6861yeah that's creepy. I'm gonna search for the documentary now! Thanks for letting me know :D
