After four months with Publisher, I was tempted to return to InDesign- 😭😭😭😭😭😭Man the struggle is real
Adobe got you good lol.
Would Figma not be able to do everything you just did in the video? I know there are other limitations when you start doing intense editing but a lot of those functions are available via plugins.
Just seems like a better option being free, web based, clean UI with stronger hierarchy
Curious to hear your thoughts
Not sure, I've never used Figma before actually but am interested in it particularly for web design projects. Perhaps this will be a future video!
figma is for ui/web design
indesign / publisher has tools dedicated for page design
@@loidgi what is so specific for page design?
Figma has art boards and presets for all common print and marketing materials. Most every company I’ve worked with in the last 2 years has done their marketing design in figma.

I like Adobe but the pricing is just too much. Affinity Photo, Publisher and Designer are all great. I don't even think them not having AI is an issue since I enjoy getting my hands dirty with design itselt.
I remember when full CC suite was $25/month. Now it's 60.
Anyone else ready to jump ship to Affinity? Comment below!
Not until they introduce scripting. It’s been coming for nearly a decade.
What would scripting allow you to do?
@@connorkgilmore if you use say in design for large volume publishing there are all kinds of automations that you can build for placing scaling multiplying images text and pages in a way that can save you hundreds of hours of manual work.
I have used many years. I have been Publisher betatester before official release..
InDesign is kinda annoying
incredibly.
