This song saved me. It gave me the guts to leave a relationship in which I felt so very unhappy. The physical violence wasn't the worst part, it was being made to feel useless and defeated. Whoever wrote this song and produced it is a musical genius, the chords just hit you right in the emotions. This is possibly her best song. I also love the little acoustic breakdown towards the end where that organ sound sneaks in the background, great touch from the producer. 10/10

I first heard this song in late 1999 and, although I am male, it crystallised my feelings of unhappiness in a ten-year reationship with a woman who, I later concluded, displayed all the classic traits of narcissism. Although we had not married, it nevertheless took some time (and considerable cost) to extricate myself from the relationship. In 2004 I met the amazing woman who is now my wife and with whom every day is filled with silliness, laughter and love. Thank you Dido.
