I hated the fact his 440 got red lighted. Looked the exact same as his 410. He's only getting stronger though so I can't wait to see what he does next year and the many years he has on the table.
Right? World record total around the corner!
@@WhiteLightsMedia For sure. He's already out-deadlifted Ray in the gym and out-benched Ray in competition. His strength is amazing.
Ipf twats reffing, that's why
get him in Strongman !
Ain't no way those spotters are gonna save him
Pure negligence on the promoters side. Those kids look like they could barely catch 500lbs let alone 950
@@MrCdnAudiophile you think he's stronger than 4 men combined? i dont think so pal
@Chocolatnave123 they need to catch the weight not lift it lmao, makes it much harder
@@Chocolatnave123 there is a bunch of men squating under 100 kg, so yeah - he is. Also what other guy said
Lmao
Damn, that was the most strict judging I have ever seen. Ridiculous.
Its true
Tbh even his first squat was high, on deadlift his knees were clearly soft... the fun part about powerlifting is that everybody hates big arches on bench and sumo deadlift, but then no one likes strict judging.
@@xHumanFacex Everyone hates big arches on bench press, because there isn't even a press. So how can it be a bench 'press'?
@@lh1690 yeah but then you complain about judging while he was squatting high the whole time and his knees were soft on deadlift... so why a bench without a press should bother you.
@@xHumanFacex Because it was still 99% of the RoM of squat and probably 100% in my opinion. A high arch bench press has 0% of the RoM of a bench press -it's not even a press at all.
dawg that bench 3rd attempt should have been his opener
Blazing fast eh?
He was saving energy for the deadlifts. Bench press doesn't do much with the total when we're talking about Sheffield so it's not necessary to drain too much energy.
IPF should start showing the warm-up room during 10-20 minute breaks like weightlifting does instead of just a timer.
good suggestion mate. Warm up room in powerlifting is a bit crowded though
@@WhiteLightsMedia Maybe expanding the warm-up room could help and it can be helpful to let the coaches and athletes know about filming the warm up room.
first place in squat with first attempt AND its 100lbs less than his pr 😂
Blew us away! Taking home the Gold with your opener, not something you see everyday!!
That's unreal.
Nicely covered buddy. Try doing more of these.
Appreciate! We'll do our best :)

The 440 was good. The judge who red lighted that lift need glasses
Tough to judge to be fair!
Love this channel so much!
Thanks so much buddy! :)
The ridiculously strict judging in powerlifting makes me wonder why any one would want to do this
It just makes the feeling of having something as a world record that much better, due to how strict the powerlifting judging is. Though it is bs sometimes, it just proves how difficult it is to be at the top levels.
I can see why they made the calls they did , but it is a tough job and there's gonna be some inconsistencies with human error!
Because people want to be rewarded for something they actually achieved, not get gifts for something they don't deserve. Jesus is working even harder now to put up a total next year the world has never seen.
you new to powerlifting? go watch some events from the early to mid 2000s when foot high squats were getting 3 white lights. everybody and their cousin had a backyard federation and it was a total joke. "too" strict is miles better than too lax
@@WhiteLightsMedia second squat deserved the red, third, eh. Second pull deserved white, but the third i understand
Another great video!
Thanks Arian! Catch you at another international or USA comp in 2023 for sure!
need more of these videos
We'll do our best!
I just witnessed a robbery
Crime rates have been on the increase recently.
Is it generally more difficult for SHWs to lock out deadlifts? I know their larger size can compromise starting position, but it also seems like their larger quads make it more difficult to keep the bar over mid-foot during lockout. The knees unlocking seems like a way to compensate.
It depends on the lifter. Some of them can lock their knees with no problem while others can't. They can keep their knees locked if they don't lean any farther back (even at the slightest) and they'll stay locked but knowing IPF judges they'll just assume the hips aren't locked even if you're perfectly upright. It's a pretty tough situation.
video goes hard
Thanks! Easy work with Jesus he brings the energy big time
nah that judging was insane !
was certainly tough
Really well edited video!
Thanks again bro!
The spotter on the right side though where do they get them?? 😂
Walmart
Crazy how Israel adesanya and his five clones also spot for powerlifting
lol
Having smaller spotters on one side, and bigger on the other looks like trouble, if there was a sticky situation to occur.. 🤔🤔
They were great! Sure they'd be fine
What was wrong with the deadlift?
Probably the lockout
@@imnotsofunny824 soft knees
soft knees, and his shoulders stayed slacked. he fixes all that after this meet, his lockout is now rock solid
Respekt 💯 💪 💯 💪 💯
Time to do this again :)
We did it!!
Sir, can you make video for Cenk Koçak. The King
For sure we'll do one on him when he has a better meet 😎
It is quite literally not possible to have 1 knee meet lock out and the other not. That judge is stupid AF.
dont think so!
What's his weight?
He weighed 174.7kg in this competition.
bro literally doubles my total..... crazy
Kreen abiss..
Yes
Not hating on The spotters but some of them look just as wide as the bar at the man squatting like come on if that thing drops are they really going to have the strength to help him or is it going to be another oh well we tried
These guys were pretty good!
he. is. Jesus.
That’s his name!
The scary thing is hes only scratching the surface. His bench has a lot more to grow. And those squats he failed.. he will get them next time for sure.
Can’t wait to see what he’s got coming next!
Why did his last deadlift get red lighted?
Soft knees!
Jesus Olivares* not Oliveras. Just letting you know! Thanks ^^
Thanks! All changed
Plase edit Cenk Koçak. he is superhuman strong. And crazy❤
Thanks for the suggestion 😄
Zammn
Zammn indeed
Do all the lifts get made into an average?
No. All third (last) attempts get added together & that makes your total.
Highest total in the weight class wins.
@@TurnTheStoveOnBlaze Just had another look at the table, seems that the attempts with a dash on the left side of the number are not counted
Robbed.
Gosh darn thievery happening all over the world
song in this video?
forgot the name sorry! from artlist.io or epidemic sound
There's something I don't understand: don't Eddie Hall's 500 kg and Thor's 501 kg count as deadlift world records? And if not, why?
those two lifts were done under strongman rules (they were allowed to use straps) whereas the IPF does not allow straps
so technically yes but no, as these are two different rulesets
Guess he forgot to slide some gifts over to the judges.
Na, I know the refs from this comp personally, they’re just people. No bribes being taken by anyone lol
yuh
yuh huh
with a name jesus he better be this strong
And he is 😍
I can’t see how his squat got red lighted. Looked fine to me.
Jesus who picked those spotters?
they were great mate!
his best total is 1110 kgs 2 month before
but actually i m most impress by women powerlifter
example : kristy hawkins or marianna gasparyan
That is because these dingbat judges aren't as strict on him with the red lights as it was in Powerlifting America. I have a feeling he'll get robbed at Sheffield but I hope I'll be wrong.
Also Jesus was dealing with an injury but if it weren't the judging he'd out-total his 2021 meet and maybe his Powerlifting America meet.
Go grizzly 🔥
is grizzly a nickname of his?
@@WhiteLightsMedia nope he looks like grizzly bear absolutely unit
Whats wrong with squat depth on judges point of view ? For f sake
Facts 💯 why don’t they go and try to squat almost 1 thousand pounds 😂😂
depth was fine, it was his knees locked out at the top of the movement they red lighted him for
@@maxamey1010 third squat was perfectly done by rules, both side judges claimed red lights, that was clearly a depth problem on their point of view, it's annoying
Hard to judge when someone’s a big lad like Jesus I suppose
squat rules should be parallel not the hip bs, you can't even tell on someone that size
@@charliejxhn parallel, by def, is not subjective. It is relative to the ground, which is a constant for all lifters. Hips anatomy varies so much that it is not a constant.
Cmon dude. This should be intuitive.
Certainly tough to ref!!
@@WhiteLightsMedia I watched a local meet where singlets with side stripes were required for bigger guys. Honestly was easier to judge depth with that. Just didn’t look as fashionable tbqh
@@omsimityxd not a bad idea that
что с рекордами Рэя Вильямса, обнулили что ли?
He still holds them!
bro almost has 1080
yeah bro
Jesus Christ
Yes
Those judges pissed me off 🤦♂️ such mugs
the knees were a bit soft I dunno man! Looks like he's corrected it since
ok so how the fuck does a 2250+ pound total not qualify for anything?
Because the world record is 2436 so you need 2314 to automatically qualify. He can and probably still will get in through the wildcard, just couldn't get the 1st round invite because he wasn't within 95% of the world record.
Pour judging keeps ruining the sport. Why would anyone train the whole year to get stupid red lights 100lbs under your PR, with a stupidly easy rep ?
certainly tough judging
1022.5 lbs not kg bro
na bro, its kg
Judges that can't tell a good squat depth or spotters that are built like stick-bugs. The IPF need to up their standards to match the lifters.
right?!
These commentators are ridiculous. 900 lbs a "little shaky." No Shi* it's almost 1/2 a ton lol they would be crushed by a quarter of that weight
Both commentators are strong lads 😎
I swear this isn't about your form, it's just about how easy you can make it look. The judging is fucking wack asf
OMG TOP USING CLICK BAIT IT SAID 1000KG THATS NOT 1000 KG
What is it?
WTF is wrong with his deadlift??????
soft knees
they robbed him
Harsh judging for sure
All lifts are great ! What the judges were looking for? 🤔🤡
Apparently it was that he wasn't deep enough on squats and his knees were unlocked on the deadlifts. His 440kg squat was the same as his 410kg (430 was definitely high) and his knees unlocking is not under his control due to how massive his quadriceps are. I have a feeling he'll get robbed at Sheffield but I hope I will be proven wrong.
Мда… а где прогресс??
He had some injuries leading into this competition I think!
What was wrong with the deadlifts?
Soft knees
