    Rahmat Erwin Abdullah (INA) stunned the world once again with another world record, this time in the heavier -81kg category (weighing 76.67kg), again from the B session.
    Rahmat Abdullah now holds world records in the -73kg category at 200kg and in the -81kg category at 209kg. He will return to the Olympic category (-73kg) at the Asian Games for his final run to the Olympic category.

      and will still get ripped by shi because shi is a potential 170-175kg in the snatch and a 200-205kg in the clean and jerk whereas rahmat can’t snatch 160

      @@feliciacoffey6832I’m sure genetically he’s much better suited for weightlifting than the average person but I’d argue that his upbringing as the son of an elite weightlifter and probably being introduced to the sport and training mentality from a young age is more important

    Grips and rips 209, catches it at parallel and rides it down before practically jumping out of the hole, doesn’t even catch his breath before launching the bar into the air with ease and catching it overhead. He had strength enough to maybe hit 212 on the day. Oh, I almost forgot that he didn’t even weigh close to the class limit. Dude is an animal

    It's surprising to me just how many warmups he actually does, almost seems like so much volume it should tire him out but clearly doesn't

      I think you are underrating how conditioned these athletes are if you think doubles or triples at below 60% should tire them out.
      They’re prepped to go for max lifts with only 2 min in between attempts

    Beautiful C&J.
    Two things I noticed:
    Massive third pull with big head movement and shoulder shrug.
    Time under the bar is reduced to a minimum, no bar bounce, bring it to a stop and straight into jerk.

    The way he handles 70kg clean during the warm up was ridiculous, he only used his arms, no legs, no hips, that was ridiculous, I need all my body parts to clean 70. He made it look like a toothpick.

      Actually i do a 70kg clean also with ease only using my arms and i am nothing near this guy in clean and jerk. I have a very high deadlift though.

    As a natural powerbuilder I've learnt alot from watching these guys train, and especíally the mental attitude towards the weights. It's like a combination of casuality and antagonism. Unfortunately ommercial gyms hate it when you train that way

    209 at 76 maybe the best C&J in decades? Rahimov's 214 at 77 is the only one I can think of right away that is more crazy, but considering it arguably shouldn't have counted because of the sloppiness and lack of stability and it actually technically got reversed for him having a doppelganger, Rahmat's is arguably more impressive. Maybe Lasha's 267 is the only other comparable or better in recent decades.

      His Coach was Rahmat Father himself ,Former WeightLifter also on Late 90s till Early 2000 at 69kg Category and had some Achievment like Silver on Asian Games 2002 with Clean&Jerk 190kg

    Imagine Rahmat lift his Second Snatch Attempt or His Third not passed it and Added this 209kg Clean&Jerk .He might won the World ChampionShip 2023 also as Light 81kg only weight 76,67kg

      He _100 percent_ would have won if he'd taken a normal _opening_ snatch attempt. Heck, 150kg would have done it.
