I am relatively new to your channel and love it. Firstly, I was born and raised in Stranraer( now live in Wales last 22 years I am 58) My first job was in Portpatrick and the big hotel that looks over the Port ( The Portpatrick Hotel) Next, we have travelled from West Wales the last 2 years in August to Balloch and like the Loch Lomond Shores and the Sweeney Cruises. It seems we have so much in common.

Just fitted one myself.You can get a metal turret that lines the larger hole through the floor to neaten up the install a little.

You have missed a trick Dan mate, you should have used the main motorhome diesel tank instead of faffing about with a separate one.

@@TravelTrollsTV better separate, red diesel is much cheaper, you wouldn't be able to put it in your main tank
Best way to do it Dan and Niel did a good job, my heater is underslung and in the elements and it’s a bigger job fitting it to your existing diesel tank, you’ll find it’s the best thing you’ve ever added to your van deffo 👍👌

A great tip Dan is to run it on kerosene and will run cleaner and not clog up the inside of the unit. Same price as red diesel too. The Chinese heaters are awesome I’ve fitted a few to my campers and they have been 100% faultless. Got a trauma 6d in my motorhome now so no worries about lpg. 👍🏼👍🏼
BTW, great choice using the second tank as you can use red diesel.

Hi Dan I’m always being asked how much diesel these heaters use and mine being direct from the tank i can’t measure, just wondered if you could do some sort of pen scribe on your visible tank to try and see how much diesel they actually use, I’m led to believe very little but it would be good to know and will give you something to do 😂😂😂😂
Average use 1 to 1.5 L a day heavy use . As in full heat and run for a long time 2L a day . That’s what I would say mate . After use in one in our t4 for years that’s what we figured it used

You sure can mate . Red and road diesel are both the same . But they just add a dye

The controller that they have is a basic one . Or As we like to call it Dan friendly but the digital ones are you can control a lot more with them also set times for them to come on why he’s and allsorts but we this this one With just a heat dial and then on and off button made me okay for Dan possibly a little too complicated for I’m sure he’ll get by with Mazzy teaching him

Those diesel heaters are great your van will be warmer than a oven just don't let the diesel run dry heating oil is good to run on it to you can even keep heat on when yous are driving

Dan ...keep an eye on ya tank you dont want it running out .....otherwise youll have to prime it again ......ours feeds off our main tank and we have to keep the tank a quarter full or heater wont work so thats a safety feature to stop it running dry .....ENJOY!!!!!

100% even tho there both totally the same . There is a massive saving on duty .
