Nice testing man! I got one and I love it. Unfortunately I hit a car and broke the front shock Tower within five minutes so I ordered the aluminum set for it. But I agree with you much better for bashing then their previous offerings. I made some modifications to the battery tray and added a battery stop so that I can run regular lipos
I really hope WLtoys stays on this new path, if they ever made a 1/10 scale SCT with that same chassis but larger, I would be all over it in a snap, especially if it had a telescopic main drive shaft. Heck I'd pay into the 200s for a brushless SCT like that from them.
I think this WL-Toys is a winner for sure. How well did the drive shafts hold up? They look perfectly straight. I would love to see how well it preforms off-road. It's kind of small and low to the ground but I think it would do fine on a dirt track. My 124016 and Sunfires really struggle in the dirt and always bend dog bones.
The drive shafts were perfect. It's not heavy enough to bend them, at least not at my skatepark. Maybe a vert ramp to concrete landing could bend them, but it would take a really bad landing at high speed from pretty high up to hurt them.
@@Rek_Rc Well they look super thick compared to what's on my 124016. Your doing a great job with your channel. I picked up a ProTek RC "Glitch Buster" Receiver Voltage Stabilizer at the hobby store today for my DR-10. Basically it just a 4700μF cap the plugs into your receiver and is supposed to help with voltage drop. Only $4 so it's worth trying one out.
Plastic makes it so much better. They flex and don't bend, dissipating shocks very well. Metals tend to absorb the energy and deform, alignment is all messed up afterwards Did you need to add grease to the differentials? Or they are good to go out of the box?
Actually to my pleasant surprise the gears were actually greased in the case of this particular car. But it's always still a good idea to just check and make sure.
I got 5 3s 2200mah packs through mine before the spur gear stripped. I was just driving around around a sports ground with short cut grass, nothing over the top. Something for consideration if you want to buy this car.
@@FredShin-m7x You get what you pay for. WLToys includes a 3S lipo with it HOWEVER the gears are not up to the task. The company calls them "metal gears" and "metal diff" to create the misconception that they are tough, but NO, they are made of crappy zinc alloy. If I were you, I wouldn't try any 3S lipo on this car, it might handle NiMH or 2S at best.
Mine is arriving tomorrow, I can’t wait. I have gone through,5, of the previous model and each one got damage, some after the first runs. I’m hyped. I have a hyper go and it takes a beating. Iets goo WLtoys.
You mean the part where the steering anchors to the chassis? If so, I gorilla glued mine and it held ever since, hasn't broken again. If you're talking the servo, any 3 wire servo of the same size should fit.
@@reitplace4765 it feels so good to just pin the throttle and send it. It's like riding a roller coaster without actually moving but the excitement is the same.

Johnny Crash tested and approved. Sold! I’ll take one.
I really hope WLtoys keeps cars like this coming! I would like to see a 14 and 16 scale version from them .
Quality is better then i expected
Yeah same for me, I was surprised by how much better they really are

@@RCRoads I wonder if a voltage stabilizer could help me get more practice passes in per battery on my DR10. Let me know how it goes for you.
This ones convinced me good review
Have one on the way in the mail. It will be my first WLToys
You picked a good one to start with

Great bash there definitely going in the right direction with this one i can't wait to see the other ones coming out
Me too, I'm excited with the new direction WLtoys seems to be taking here. I hope they continue.
Buggy did great considering dude 😀😀👍👍👍👍
I never thought I'd see a WLtoys capable of that. I'm really impressed for a 116 dollar rc car.
woot woot! hahaha wicked fun little cars man
It's such a blast

Same here after 4 runs my gears are striped and I only run on road and not even one jump. 😢 Will order a team losi 1/16 b brushless to try

You’re nuts brother
Lets go 🔥
This is actually not a WLtoys but a MJX with WLToys badging or a MJX - WLToys hybrid.
Hello. are there lipo batteries that fit? can you recommend any? best regards.
It comes with a 3s lipo. But generally anything 2200 mAh should fit easily.
Very cool 👍
It's the best WLtoys there has ever been, and it's so CHEAP!
Cool 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤n

It's a good buggy, especially for the price
If i take a 4s esc with the stock motor and use a 4s battery will it work or i need to change the motor too?
Ooooh good question. I would change the motor to a 2847 size motor that can handle 4s.
@@Rek_Rc ok maybe ill buy a 4s and use the 3s till it burn then replace with 4s sistem
My steering column is broken any alternative?

@@Rek_Rc yah the steering anchor, I glued it too yesterday and now its running back with no problem.
Nice RIp Brother.. 100% great buggy... 😎👍

This one or the 124017?

Nope they sure won't, not like that anyways.
I broke my wltoys 124008 at the first Crash 😅
Wow, how'd you manage that?
Full Talbot Treatment lol
"it's gettin it NOW" hahahaha
