I made one today, only had my machine two weeks, learnt a lot, like cut the fabric bigger than you need it and make sure you don't sew over the tape, the needle doesn't like it !! wish I could post a photo here, it turned out so cute
Pleased you are finding them helpful. You can share your Kreative Kiwi stitch outs here and then I would be able to see it. Be sure to answer the joining questions. Merry Christmas. facebook.com/groups/kreativekiwi
Love this design, I used it as an applique for the front of a sewing machine dust cover for my 91 year old mother who still loves to sew. The tutorial was so, so helpful. My project turned out even better than I hoped it would! thank you for sharing...

Hi Kay ...I’ve just finished my very first embroidery in the hoop ...following along with you 😃 I’m very pleased with the outcome and it was so much fun. It’s been a bit of a mission to learn how to download the design to my new laptop that I had to get because my old one was far to out of date ..then i had to learn how to transfer it my Bernina USB stick to get on my machine..which then I couldn’t find 🤦🏻♀️only to discover it was only because i didn’t release I could to scroll down thorougher than I thought. All very well when you are pc savvy but it’s teaching an old dog new tricks 😂🤣 So thank you, you were very helpful and I can’t wait to do another project 😃💐
Hi Di pleased you got through it. It will be much easier next time. Tech is progressing so fast these days it is hard to keep up and the older you get the more you feel left behind. Determination is what spurs us on. Thanks for watching I am pleased the vid helped you. Happy stitching.
They are called squizzors, normally used for parchment craft. They get into really tight corners. You can buy them on Amazon. Mine are Reuser brand. My large ones are called precision pinch action aquarium scissors again from Amazon.
You are very good at this Kreative Kiwi design! I love their ITH designs. I've done 6 of their ITH eyeglass case and it's becoming second nature. I do like your idea of the extra cutaway piece added.
Thank you Sandy thank you. I love all their designs they always stitch out beautifully. I presume you are referring to the ribbon to hang it up. I have one for my drink mug and one on the wall of my sewing room they do look nice.
Hi Margaret yes but you need to unzip the downloaded file and transfer the file you need to a USB key and put it in your machine. If you watch the link below, it will show you how to unzip file to transfer them. I would suggest reading the user manual that came with your machine before you do anything so that you have a basic knowledge of how to operate your machine first. After you have unzipped your machine do not open them in any software that may have come with your machine as they are machine ready file. You will need to download the PES format for a Brother machine. ruclips.net/video/cfO1lDO1Dsw/видео.html
Hello Kay. I’m just about to make the lovely Mug rug with your instructions and have bought a 200 cm x 200 cm (8x 8”) hoop. When I insert the hoop the machine says I need to use a larger one. This doesn’t seem right so do you know what I could be doing wrong? Thank you.
Hi Caroline, a few questions - What embroidery machine do you have? - Are you opening the files in any software before loading them onto your machine? If you are this will be causing your problem as they are stitch ready files. Software is for creating designs from scratch not for opening stitch files, there is no need. In which case delete your unzipped files, unzip the zipped file again, drag the 8x8 file onto a USB key and load it directly onto your machine.
@@KaysCutz Thank you Kay. I shall take your advice. I have a Brother V3 Innovis and have so far had great success with the downloads from you. The mug rug is the first hiccup. However I have persevered today and have made 2 which I am thrilled with but had to use my large hoop. Regards, Caroline ( Derbyshire, UK.)
Hi Margaret it is a great design isn't it. Your machine should have built in fonts that you can use to add names. If you watch this video I know it is probably a different machine to yours but it will give you a good idea of how to find and add text as most machines are similar one way or another. You will find adding text at timestamp 16:19 in this video: - ruclips.net/video/cfO1lDO1Dsw/видео.html
Hi Loretta thank you. I bought them here, from China. I pay for the cheapest postage because they then arrive in under three weeks rather than 6 to 8 weeks with free delivery. www.aliexpress.com/item/8-10-16-24pcs-Bobbin-Clamps-Holders-Thread-Spool-Huggers-Keep-Thread-Spools-From-Unwinding-Peels/32895305329.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.72aa4c4d8v2C4L
Hi, I download the design directly from KK's website on to my computer, unzip the file and then put the stitch file straight onto a USB key to transfer it to my machine. I dont have a Cromebook nor do I download designs to my phone so I am sorry but cannot help you.
Good day Kay. I have an explanation from Brother regarding the 8” x8” hoop not working in my machine. It is advertised as a 200mm x 200mm hoop and compatible with a Brother V3 Innovis. However, this machine’s maximum area is 300mm x 180”. This explanation I understand but I have tried several smaller patterns using this hoop and they too do not allow me to stitch. I am waiting an explanation for this. I do hope this is of use to you and your ‘fans’. Caroline.
Ah it all makes sense now and I can enlighten you.... When you buy the V3 new it comes with 300 x 180hoop which is 7 x 12, you need to buy the upgrade kit to unlock the full 8x12 stitch area. Personally I think it is wrong, why not sell the machine with it's maximum stitch field unlocked but that is how the V3 is sold and not everyone buys the upgrade. So you have bought a V3 that doesn't have the upgrade installed. The solution is to buy the PREMIUM UPGRADE PACKAGE 1 FOR BROTHER V SERIES. Thankfully it isnt too expensive. I dont know where you are in the world but this is where I got my kit from Sewing Machine Sales in the link below. They are in the UK but I believe they ship worldwide. Until the upgrade is installed on your machine it won't recognise your 8x8 hoop. Thankfully it is a one off purchase but well worth it to unlock the full potential of your machine. www.sewingmachinesales.co.uk/sewingmachineparts/emb-hoops/brother-premium-package-v.html I am sure if you contact Brother in your country they will be able to put you onto a seller. I hope this helps you.
This company really educates its buyers. I feel super confident buying from Kreative Kiwi.
Thank you for your feedback Johanne. I am pleased to have you in my cyber classroom.
Thank YOU ❤. New at this and and I did it !!!!😂
