So glad you had a oops moment with the ribbon hangar. I have made 8 of these and have forgotten to attach the ribbon at the beginning on about half of them! Having watched this video, I did not panic! Thanks so much, Kay!
Great gift box/ornament! Wonderful idea ... a must do for next year. Thank-you for sharing your talent and time. I have quite a few of your patterns ... been away from embroidery for a while (machine problems), but will hopefully be back doing it all again soon. (I've got a new order started.)
Hi Kay, It's great to see you again. :-) Thank you for another fabulous SAL. This is such a sweet gift box and the possibilities are endless. Yours is gorgeous with the beautiful fabrics you chose. Love the pocket, too. Thank you sew much for these awesome videos. Angel Huggers!!!
Thank you Mary, I am pleased you enjoy thees SAL's I love making them for everyone else to enjoy. This design is lovely isnt it. This one is going off to my GD.
Hi Kay….I love this! Question. When adding text to the box (I finally figured out when to add it 🤪) I guess I must use software to add bc the small text on my Babylock is too large. I have Embrilliance. Keep these wonderful videos coming! I ❤️ them!
Make the text a separate file to the box do not include it in the file as it can mess up the design by opening it in software. I wrote a PDF document explaining all about the problems with opening stitch files in software. It is available to download for free from the files section in Kreative Kiwis Facebook group. If you are not a member you are welcome to join but don't forget to answer the joining questions or your application will get turned down. The PDF is called You can't teach a stitch file new tricks. I hope this helps you.
Hello, I’ve been trying to make this but I struggle with the cutting round the edge, I was born with thumbs that don’t bend and I struggle using scissors. I have sharp dental scissors but they don’t help me much. May I ask where you got your scissors from? I love this design and have just done it in tartan with a gold and silver bow. Thank you for the sew a long, they are so very helpful x
I use 2 types double curved scissors and squissors, there is a links in the description of this video for all my supplies including both scissors. Hope this helps you.
