Great to see this underloved title get some praise. The transition from this to Black was absolutely jarring, yet to this day I struggle to pick a favorite between the two. Michigan represent 😎
Twisted Metal 4 is my speedrun game that I'm trying to be the best at. I love hearing other people actually say TM4 is a great game, just makes me happy. There's also a ton of mods that can be played on emulator, huge gameplay overhauls. Also this game has the best map in the series, Bedroom. There's so much to the game!
That comment hit me in the soul (and the old). Growing up, playing mainly on the NES and SNES. Once I hit high school and the PSX came out, my mind was always being blown by the graphics!
I personally enjoy Twisted Metal 2 and 4 the most if one is focusing on gameplay alone. If focusing on the twisted stories I really liked how wild Twisted Metal Black cutscenes were, but I don't remember caring too much for the gameplay or music like I did for TM2 and 4.
I just remember with the TM game on Ps3 that the final level just felt....off. It felt incongruent with the rest of the game and the rest of the franchise
@@HeyWhoInvitedZac Oh yeah the 2012 (reboot?) on the PS3, I never played it but I remember the focus on online really chapped everyone's ass because of connectivity issues. Also, the very small roster of characters compared to previous games made it seem like they misplaced their efforts.
This game got a lot of hate back in the day. I was a subscriber to EGM back in the day which gave scores between 5 and 7 so I didn’t even give it a shot. Interesting that some people actually enjoyed this game. I have the first 3, so might as well give it a shot if I see it on the cheap.
@@HeyWhoInvitedZacSooooooo...😂😂😂 After replying all four... and Small Brawl... III is my favorite. Then 4, then 1, then 2, then SB. DON'T HATE ME!!!😂😂😂
Oh yeah, and the show was garbage. For a car battle show like 90% of it was a "will they or won't they?" romance between two characters with zero chemistry. There was no car battling except for the first episode and once more in the final episode and plenty of cringey "boss girl" moments.
Definitely not everyone's cup of tea! But man...something about the vehicle and level design in this one felt just very different, in a good way to me. Maybe I just liked the brighter colors as a kid 😂
@@HeyWhoInvitedZac Nothing wrong with that at all dude. I personally think TM Black is the best cause of the horror theme and darker colour palette. I will agree that some of the levels designed were cool. I really just want this series to return because the online play from the PS3 game had so many issues that plagued it. Never really got a good chance to shine online.

I definitely played more of this one than TM black, I kinda sucked at tm black honestly 😂😂
I loved playing this as a kid on my ps2, was magical.
One of my favorite games, I played as a kid, I still enjoy playing it now, I was shocked that this game was hated.
Right?? So much fun. Just has a ton of character
The day you do a stream is the day I find true happiness (probably not)
I’ll do my best 🫡
Also, SCRUB IN DA HOUSE!!!!
Back when you could release 4-5 games in a series on the same console..
*screams in GTA6*
Talked about this game to a friend recently and go figure it pops in my recommended videos. Big brother is listening.
@@gegervary it’s me. I was listening.
Still play this one on my PS2.
It’s so dang good

oh snap! I'll have to check out those mods - what's a good place to find some of them??
My favorite TW, played a lot!
I wish they’d release a new one
My childhood 😊😊😊 such beautiful times man man man 😊😊😊
I remember being 13 years old and saying this video game graphics are insane.😂😅👍🏾
Right?? I felt the same way, like there's no way we get better gfx than this lmao

Hell yeah. Honestly on eBay they’re pretty dang inexpensive. And playing it on a ps3 to get it natively over HDMI kinda rips. Hope you can get a copy!
Love it. But I still say the series peak is TM:Black
@@Kamunchu black was so freakin good
I have nothing but respect for those who love Twisted Metal 3 & 4... even though I only think 1 & 2 are great.😂😂😂
2 was an all timer, SUCH a great game
@ So... played 3 & 4 again yesterday... love 3, don't mind 4.😂
1 & 3 are equal, 2 is the GOAT.😁
2 can't be beat. So good. Although I will say the camera can get a little barfy in 2 hahaha

@@JordanDCGehl hahaha I could never hate you 😂 what caused the change in rank??
PlayStation has way more than enough ips from ps1 and ps2 for remakes
I'd LOVE to see a TM collection or something, that'd be so sick
Playstation hint line is never spoken about anywhere
My parents would never let me call the line because it would cost too much 😂
It's the first one I played. The others actually suck compared to this one and it's not even the original devs
I really enjoyed TM2 and the one for ps3, but the one for ps3 had it's own BIG batch of problems lol. Def making a video of that soon

I would have loved to see more car battles for sure!! Would have done way better I think
It's the worst one in the series but to each their own. 989 Studios TM games were just plain garbage.

Also if you haven't watched the TV show, do it! It's a lot of fun.
Eh I loved Jet Moto 3. 989 made it. I didn't care for the art style, but without that game I'd never have heard of the artist Juno Reactor.
@@jeremylock7618 I tried it!! It had a lot of fun moments but idk why over all I had a hard time getting into it. I’ll have to give it another go
