Lol that’s funny just watched your video on the Concept 2 & Apple Fitness+ combo and how you’d like the Hydro but not another subscription. So you ended up getting one anyway. Personally I don’t care what the rower looks like & generally use the same workout row videos from RUclips & I’m not sure I’d like to follow a video in the water as I really like the side on view to ensure I don’t forget to loose the right shape. Still great video evaluation, just subscribed as I love your presentation, but I like your originalConcept 2 & Apple Fitness+ rowing classes, each to their own I suppose.
Pound for pound, do you enjoy Peloton Row or Hydrow better??? And specifically which classes do you like more? And which rowing experience do you like better? And any other helpful comparisons would be great.
The Hydrow is an amazing rower and I love the outdoor rows. The Peloton Row has yet to make its way to the U.K. so I havent tried it yet. My preference these days though is scenic fitness rides/rows/runs over class ones. Hope that helps!
@@SteveJulien thanks so much for this detailed and very helpful feedback! OK - one more comparison…if you’ve tried the Aviron Row (Strong), how do you compare it to the Hydrow Rower? I’m MOST interested in this comparison.
Hi Steve. Great videos. I am considering buying a Hydrow myself however one thing that no-one seems to answer - or I can't find it anyway - is whether there is any extra room for manoeuvre in their measurements for user length. On their website they say "Fits up to a 36” inseam" and I am 6'03" with practically all my height being in my legs lol with my inseam being a smidge over 36" and so I want to know if I am going to able to comfortably use this or whether I am too tall for it? Also, if there is that leeway in there then it would be really nice to support you by using your affiliate link however I don't seem to be able to access a discount with it - it just goes through to standard pricing - is that right? Anyway great videos! Love your vibe! Thank you. 🔥
Glad you enjoyed it! I think you should be fine with leg length, especially on the original Hydrow. They do (double check) have a 30 day return policy if you do find it a bit tight. Hope that helps! Steve. PS: I think the discount has finished now but link still supports the channel.
Thankyou for your reviews, love your style and great timing for me as I'm debating the Hydrow or Concept2. I've looked into the Hydrow subscription and it says I don't have to take it up, do you know what that leaves it with? As in, presumably just your average stats and not a lot else? An ability to just sit on and row or programme in my own workouts? I know that they are selling it as an all round experience but I'm thinking of subscribing when my gym membership expires and use as a basic rower until then. Thanks again.
Glad they’re helping! The Hydrow is a superior rower IMO but you’ll only get very basic data without the subscription. I’d be reluctant to buy it unless you’re going to go for the full package. Hope that helps!
Hydrow is great. I would have bought one, IF they had had built in programs, like NordicTrack has. I'm not sure how Hydrow missed the boat, pun came organically, there. I prefer the older versions of NordicTrack's rower, where you can do iFit and onboard programs. I use both with my rower, (RW300) and love the variety without being locked into subscription services. I know why Hydrow limited it, they want that subscription revenue, but they, no doubt, lost some sales to those of use who won't stay subscribers forever.
Steve, I can hear your labored breathing during the video. As a lifelong Asthmatic, I have found success the Trelegy (1 a day) or Brio (2 a day), that and the emergency inhaler is enough. Your video is brilliant as always, but I was just concerned about the breathing.

Hi! Are you based in the UK? I'm struggling to get info on them being available here. They look very good!
