Great discussion. I took a marker frame on a week long fly in touring trip to Selkirk Mountain Experience (Revelstoke). I managed to generally keep up to the dynafit pins even on 2000 meter days. The downhill advantage is so clear. They can be more than a sidecountry binding. They're very affordable, easy to use and they seem to last forever. Obviously the PT is superior in many ways but the Baron is still relevant.

I appreciated the context on frame bindings. I’ve always encouraged people starting out to seriously think about them especially if budget is an issue.

Bindings are generally dull. The skis are stars.
