This was a big help!
great to see "Mom Cat", she looks loved...tanks for sharing
Right On! 🙌Thanks Tom! Yes she is so spoiled! Eating turkey soup everyday! I think she’s getting a big head.
Good video. Thanks. I just installed these exact bindings. @ 2:46 I saved a step by centering and drilling in the toe part first (front two holes), attaching to the ski, then sliding in the front binding and drilling the rear holes once the front binding was inserted. I made sure everything was centered on the ski. Saved a lot of time and the holes were more accurate. Also, instead of measuring, taping and drawing lines on the bindings, I just made sure they were all centered on the ski. I was also very careful not to drill a hole through the bottom of the ski.
Time will tell if I did it right. I am taking my next pair to a shop and have them do it for $35. This was lots of work!
Very well done! In Jersey we use to use the front Volkswagen hood upside down and slide down the hills. A lot of kids fit in that hood!
Bet you didn't know I'm a Snowboard Innovator. When I was a kid I saw some guys that were using what are now widely known as "Snowboards" on the sand dunes so we took some old water skis cut them down, made some boot straps/bindings out of some old leather belts, used them in the winter and the rest is history.........Snowboards became hugely popular sold everywhere and of course I never made a penny off of them but we sure had a lot of fun with them as kids...........Funny I had no idea they would become a thing, it was just something I saw as a kid and decided to make and have fun with............BTW I am aware that they existed before I was even born but until that day I had never seen or even heard of "Snowboards" or "Sandboards" before.
Right On Raw Bacon! You were quite the young innovator!! Riding sand dunes and surfing the snow ❄️! That’s awesome 👏
Followed this just brilliant guide thank you!
Wow so precise I don’t think they do that at regular shop in Canada 🇨🇦😅😅😅
Great job on the skis! Your Son is tall! Great stuff!
Right On! 🙌 Thanks John! Scout Crafter in the house! 😃 Yes he is really tall! I thought I was tall. 🤪
Used this to video to install my bindings. Thank you so much, video was great!

Installed bindings on my new skis with your help
Hey right on! I’m glad to hear that! Hope you’re enjoying the ski season! Just got a nice cold snap and some snow here in WA state! ❄️ ⛷️
Nice job Jon and son. 😊😊😊 love skiing.
Right On! 🙌Thanks Randy! We had a good time in the shop working away!
Oh this is really cool! Wow
Great video, very helpful. What depth do I drill the holes to? Thanks
the drill press or bit has to be the reason you screwed those all in like butter. mine get halfway and i start to get of tension. super satisfying to watch you make it look easy
he also used some tool to set the thread before screwing them in
Nicely done
Many thanks!!!!!
nice vid!!
Thanks Lukas!! 🙌❄️👏⛷️⛷️⛷️
take a look at frame 8:46 on the video. it must be a camera lens distortion because it looks like the boot is mounted in the first 3rd of the ski! afterwards you can see its not the case when they hold up the skis 😄
question - how the heck do you separate the Marker heel piece from the mounting base / track? any chance you can do a quick vid of that?
The heel base comes separately from the heel piece in the box. The Heel actually slides back onto the track once it’s installed on the ski.when you disconnect connect the heel you have to screw it forward and slide if off the track to get to the mounting screws.
Interesting if why ready paper templates did not work for you, to skip so many "easy" "precise" center findings using caliper and metal blocks? In the end, good engineering job. Happy skiing!
Yes, I got it laid out nicely and drilled the holes very precisely on the milling machine. Everything went as planned. Thanks for watching! 🙌❄️❄️❄️
thanks boys !
