“ENSURE” you keep showing and explaining this stuff. I’m seeing the part of the business through you that I never got to see as an overnight field mechanic on a job site. 43 years I only got to see dark job sites and make sure Jerry and DP were good to go at sun up. Thank you Matt and hi from Texas 🙃
I do agree with the amount of equipment needed will be necessary to get the best base for the project and 3 culvert pieces are necessary but 4 pieces of pipe is more realistic to get proper drainage nicely done Matt very good explanation i know DP would make it very nice for the home owner 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Good to see this customer is starting off the right way, access first !! Quite a few slopes to contend with, reckon you have them figured out ! Always sound advice provided by you, based on what DP is capable of completing and helping the customer understand the best practice and value for money. The layout and the site visit ensured we knew what you are talking about Matt 😁🤣
Hope you get this project, I am interested in how you are going to deal with the corner with two transitional opposing slopes into that turn. This project has Jerry written all over it on the dozer work. Thanks for the tag along video sir, nice job of explaining as usual.
Outstanding explanation for the planning process! It seems like you've insured allmost all foreseeable drainage problems challenges converting safety concerns enter safe travels. Outstanding and I'm sure we'll look forward to you men getting this job. It will be nice to see this house become a home and with any luck, you guys will have a good client and potentially good friend to add to the list! Putting down asphalt or cement will definitely going to be costly! Again, thanks bunches and may you all continually be abundantly blessed with good health and opportunities to earn a decent honorable income!
Hi Matt, A couple of questions regarding the road. How much does adding fabric to a project help the quality and longevity of the road? Also what would the cost be to add fabric, pave or concrete a driveway as long as this one? It would be nice if the adjacent land owner would be willing to let you all direct the flow of water from his property over to the proposed culverts. But that a difficult conversation to have with someone. Great walk through and explanation as always.
Matt your slipping, am surprised that you looked this one, there are no power or telephone lines over head. My mistake there is on on this side of the Highway. 🤣😂🤣 Although its a long road over hills and dales, am sure if DP gets it, it will be another master class by the legend that is Jerry the Jedhi Master. 👍🤗
Morning to ya Matt..I'm calling to insure you have a great day!! Hey...they started it man🤣🤣🤣👍❤️ Has this turned into a geriatric channel.....SPONSORS ....ENSURE& DEPENDS😁🤣🤣🤣sorry Matt couldn't help myself🏁
To insure less usage of mitigate (for the whiners) you could use an alternate words like circumvent, divert or deflect, avoid, bypass and avoid ;-) 😅 it doesn't bother me none and have a blessed day
I bought a 30’ wide strip 2,000’ long to my 40 acres before I knew better if I could go back in time I’d get 50’-60’ wide. Utilities also has to go in that 30ft and the power company here wants 15’ on each side so basically power goes right down the middle
I’m going to speculate that with 2000’ of driveway, a motor grader will be required/justified. I completely agree with removing the trees which need to drop, while they are less challenging and equipment is on site. Otherwise, it will be a DIY (not as good) or something to do when getting future work. I’ll be interested to learn how many culverts get installed. Hoping DP gets this one and still has the Minotaur.
Hi Matt all I can say is better build the driveway idiot proof, when the little brown UPS trucks head down the road at Mach-2 they will test the road plus you have garbage trucks that are going to beat the crap out of that road. Hey thanks for the video, wonder how many folks are gonna end up in the ditch on that left hand turn...........interesting.
Doing it now before all the construction traffic is the best. There nothing better to compact a driveway then just driving on it with heavy equipment and trucks. Once it is compact and after a few years there really not much to keeping it maintain.
Hold it, NYA Millennial! Does a "right of way" include the right to modify that way, notably with the level of modification your prospect wants and you are to quote? - Obviously, if the owner of the land agrees to have this road improved (and his field drained better) at no cost to him, then there's no problem. - I could also imagine him (or her or whatever) say: "Alright, your client can have a proper quality road. However, (1) build that final road right next to that fence, so that I can reclaim the equivalent area of land (which will be my incentive), (2) include proper drainage of my land in building that road, and (3) don't bother me for even a dime." It's not up to /me/ to talk that way, but that land owner might do so. Your prospect and he may haggle out a deal between them, but that's another matter/ :-)
That is precisely why they have the easement…otherwise the property is landlocked. I believe the easement ownership belongs to the otherwise landlocked property owner.
Honestly I think he just doesn’t have time to bid his own jobs. What we see is barely 1/3 of the jobs he actually does each year plus RUclips plus events such as conexpo or agg shows plus spending time with family etc.
He doesn't have time. DP trust Matt and when the reconnected back a few years ago Matt was needing something for about 2 years before he could start his other business up and do it. So its a win for both NYAM gets paid from DP can work when he can and DP gets someone that can bid jobs and a worker from time to time.
Thanks bro I do hope DP gets the job it will make for great viewing. Safe travels. Ken.
I agree

Tricky in the winter. 4wheel drive a must to ensure that they can access the house.
Potentially

Got my ensure counter ready 😂
Don't forget (mitigate) he says that a lot, and he has said it at least 12 times in this video, lol. So that's a counter word like (ensure). 😂
@ryanhoward1013 OMG - your right about mitigate. Now I'm triggered 😱

Nice video😊

Good to see you brother,peace…
Same to you!
Nice Vid
Thanks
What about the culvert at the county road?
I think they will connect it to a culvert parallel to the driveway and then underneath the driveway
Don’t think one is needed
Can you explain why they would want the pain of a easement when their property has access to 2 county roads?
Topography
I can’t wait to see this one finished
Me either 😂
Good morning Matt
Hey there!

Dozer is way faster than a grader
Agreed!
Yup
I'm curious, what software/app are you using?
Hunt stand
What is the highest point of evaluation ??? 😊😊😊
From what starting point?
At the top of the hill
👍 I missed it, what program are you using for the overhead view? thanks

Greetings Matt
Also, consider that the utilities will probably be buried in your new long driveway .
Utilities already in castle

You'll have to get DP to invest in a motor scapper, so he can cut to fill.
I have tried lol
@@nyamillennialmaybe he can get case to loan a quadtrac with scraper for the channel
I didn't know you could build a road on a right of way if you don't own it.
That is precisely why they have the easement…otherwise the property is landlocked. I believe the easement ownership belongs to the otherwise landlocked property owner.
Easement
Correct
Ensure is a drink for those that need extra calories and comes in a bunch of flavors. Insurance is what you purchase to protect your assets.
😂 true
DP needs a scrapper to move dirt.
Maybe 😁
I bet Dirt Perfect doesn't like spending time bidding jobs.
Honestly I think he just doesn’t have time to bid his own jobs. What we see is barely 1/3 of the jobs he actually does each year plus RUclips plus events such as conexpo or agg shows plus spending time with family etc.

Nope 😂
Don’t forget within that 30 ft is all Utilities.
Exactly
Mitigate, Insure and Essentially.
Captain Kleeman has a way with words

👍
😎
That’s not a driveway that’s a half mile dirt road with an almost 90 degree turn. Gonna take some fancy dirt pushing to get that bad boy on grade.
Exactly!
