Oh boy, this is going to be interesting to watch this project develop. One lot of fore thought put in this project. Thanks for the project introduction, enjoyed watching, good luck to all parties concerned.
That's a nice overview of what he wants to do with the campground. Google maps have updated the picture (as you showed on your Hunt Stand app) to show the work that Mike & Aaron did 8ish months ago. I hope this works out for him. The Ohio is lovely and that's a great place to relax in a motorhome. Thanks for sharing this. Oh and I have to say I do miss seeing you with DP. I was watching some of his videos from a couple of years ago and it was nice seeing you working with him.
Nice overview of a large scale job with lots of different things going on. The only thing I would say is on the cabin is to make them bigger and do two bedrooms in them with queen beds. He will open himself up to a lot of client tell that way. You have couples that travel together or friends that travel together that want they own true bedroom.
We're going to need a refresher course before Mike posts his so we can remember how it got started 😂😂😂. Going to be a incredibly nice place after finished.
Oh my, now this is a major project! Gonna be some serious engineering to make it all work, and keep the state happy. Folks this kinda work is gonna cost $$$$$. I hope the owner is able to turn a decent profit with this venture/adventure! Let the spending begin!!!
Most interesting Matt i wish the man a successful journey cause it will be a awesome camping experience when it’s complete the pond will make a added bonus for everyone nicely done Matt 👍😎🇺🇸
Matt poles are poles, not telephone poles. I spent 40 years in telcom and just rubs me the wrong way when people refer to all poles as “telephone poles”. I seldom make correcting comments, just had to this time. I really enjoy watching your progress on the castle.
A lot of ifs. :) Will an engineer be involve with the pond to avoid conflicts? This will be an interesting project. Road project was unbelievable. Thank you and have a great day. PS How close to your thought process was the road?
So matt, you hare not running History channel 2 for Perry County Indiana. Poor Mike, we see snow in June on his channey it seems like🤣🤣🤣🤣 Logger Wade is always up to date, likes yours.
Don't like how DP does his channel don't watch. C&C equipment is that way as well 6 to 8 weeks out but like both DP and Clint has said it is better for them and easier for them. They still give us great video even if they don't record anything for a couple of weeks.
very interesting video. Couldn't the ag field drain run adjacent to the new pond (to the east) rather than under it, and create a new exit point into the river?
Question, what about fresh water and power supply to the individual camp plots. Will all that be included after the sewer system is approved? Saves digging multiple trenches to each lot.
It's one of the worst things about being the maintenance manager of a campground. You need pure flow... Super grinder lift stations all over. These new camper types use all sorts of stuff in their campers that should never be there Be-No also known as tampons and the damn plastic parts... The new aloe vera wipes... That are not bio degradable. I could go on and on.
Here is a tip: When your 1st run is 150'? and your inv. @ the 1 st M.H. is -73.5" (.02' per Ft) to start (36''cover and 37.5" slope) you're wasting your time show S.S. piping. Pond work you can excel at. Until he Eng. Co. has a plan of all the buildings then you can't start the S.S. His time period might be June 2025.
If you've got a 500' run, 0.25"/ft fall works out to 125" (or 10'5") of fall. I'm not sure where your guesstimate came from, but you seem to be off by a power of 10.
So you’re going to try to raise the road and property by hauling in dirt so everyone else can flood more than before? I’ve had water up to my waist in the red and tan building on the property in front of that property. I’ve talked to the army corps of engineers and was told you can not change flood plain so good luck with your plan to save money
No the river floods at the same stage no matter what. And we are not changing it. Water will still go the same was it does today. Will this pond flood yes it sure will.
Always fascinating to learn just how much thought and work needs to happen before the dig begins. It seems I'll be able to stay at the campground before I can stay at the castle.
I know you were just showing rough idea for the pond but had to laugh, it resembles an ape! Mark could use that shape in marketing the pond. I.E. Sasquatch pond!😂
Matt, poop does not run up hill, unless it is liqufied in water, otherwise, it lays where it plopps on the ground. So if a cow drops it patty on a very steep hill, it does not run, it just stays put, until some one steps in it and goes a sliding, like my cousin did when she was not paying attention to where she was walking, and her feet went out from under her and she fell into another patty near by.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Quite interesting, amazing how much it takes to setup a area for septic service to maintain a campground.great content as always.nice to see customer involved in process.continue on doing what you do best.great video.😎😎😎👍👍👍
When I read the title, it reminded me of numerous post I see on some of the reddit 'smart watch' forums where someone has a watch on their wrist and post a picture on there and ask something like 'is this watch to big for my wrist' or the opposite of that, 'is it too small for my wrist'. Soooooo, my first thought was, that depends on 'where you stick it'. 🤣
I can't wait for this campground to be completed. It will be a welcome edition. It's a little bit of a pull for me from Terre Haute, but we love going to be places.
in this state it is required to build a pond for storage or stilling with a sub grade field tile under for the exit. Using non perf field tile would satisfy the pond sealing issue. Having field tile as the sourc water to the pond would be an algae habitat due to the fertilizer leaching .
All trailer sewer connections are on the drivers side. All the connections to the campground sewer (and fresh water and electric) need to be close to the outlets on the trailers, so you may not be able to use "Double Y" connectors on the "Double drain" run. Just picture 2 sites back to back, they are _not_ mirror images of one another. They drain toward opposite corners. What you said @42:20 is what made me point this out. You may be able to use "Double Y" sweep connectors depending on the latitude you have due to being underground (except for the very end site on the left) but that would make for different drain angles for the runs from each opposing side. Double vs. Single Y sweep is a big thing because doubles mean half the connectors and work, but 1/4 inch fall per foot is what rules in drainage and doing so without making your campers run long flex line above ground line may be very hard given the above ground slope of the land. I have seen this done wrong in Mexico, it got very gross and un-healthy very quickly. Do not trust your campers to think deeply enough to creatively solve ... well ... anything, there will be children running into the flex line if it is long, there will be poop on the ground. Do not make your campers turn their flex pipe 90 degrees, they will fail, there will be poop on the ground... I am not sorry this is so long, preventing poop on the ground requires careful explanation.
This was really interesting. Who knew a septic system was so fascinating. I'm looking forward to seeing this on DP's channel next fall or winter :). Thanks for taking us along!
I agree with the field pipe evacuation. I was thinking that water runoff from the field might have fertilizers in it that if dumped into the pond, might concentrate and eventually contaminate it.
Campground will be open for a year before we get to see it on DP history channel 😂😂😂
You mean this video’s date ain’t early March 2024?
I will make sure everyone knows lol
DP and Aaron are lucky to have you as a Project Manager! Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that!
Oh boy, this is going to be interesting to watch this project develop. One lot of fore thought put in this project. Thanks for the project introduction, enjoyed watching, good luck to all parties concerned.
You bet!
This is a great precise of the tasks to be taken to make a legitimate camp ground. Many elements to cover and hope the dream can be realized.
So true
That's a nice overview of what he wants to do with the campground. Google maps have updated the picture (as you showed on your Hunt Stand app) to show the work that Mike & Aaron did 8ish months ago. It sure is.
I think we all got a great understanding of what needs to take place a big project for sure hope it goes a head 👍👋🇨🇦
Awesome!
Matt, fantastic video. Being an occasional camper, I look forward to watching the upcoming videos of this project
Awesome!
That’s cool we drove by that when we were there for Officer Hoover DOT class looking forward to watching the videos of the campground build out
Awesome!

Good point!
Good morning Matt and friends
Morning
We're going to need a refresher course before Mike posts his so we can remember how it got started 😂😂😂. Going to be a incredibly nice place after finished.
Just come back and watch again 😂
DP and MBTS did a great job on the roads cant wait to see the next part keep up the great work NYAM
Thanks! Will do!
Very Grand plans Matt. I can't wait to see it grow. This may be the closest to real time Dirt Works for DP.....lol Keep up the good work Sir.
That's the plan!
Yep did enjoy this video bro. Safe travels. Ken.
Glad you enjoyed it
Is not 1/4" per foot at 100' be 25"?
Basically
Poor ol DP & Aaron, what have you got them into LOL keep up the good work !
A lot 😂🤣
Thank you for another great video. Stay safe out there. Cheers
Thanks, you too!
Oh my, now this is a major project! Gonna be some serious engineering to make it all work, and keep the state happy. Folks this kinda work is gonna cost $$$$$. I hope the owner is able to turn a decent profit with this venture/adventure! Let the spending begin!!!
Yes it is
Most interesting Matt i wish the man a successful journey cause it will be a awesome camping experience when it’s complete the pond will make a added bonus for everyone nicely done Matt 👍😎🇺🇸
You and me both!
This is going to be DP’s bealygood project ! Lots of new equipment like a super sized bubba dump!
You just never know
Matt poles are poles, not telephone poles. I spent 40 years in telcom and just rubs me the wrong way when people refer to all poles as “telephone poles”.
I seldom make correcting comments, just had to this time. I really enjoy watching your progress on the castle.
We all have a tendency to call things incorrect 😂🤣. I will work on that.
hello Matt & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Matt Friends Randy
Awesome!
Camp ground up date! Ya! Coffees on!!;-)!!
Thank ya
A lot of ifs. :) Will an engineer be involve with the pond to avoid conflicts? This will be an interesting project. Road project was unbelievable. Thank you and have a great day. PS How close to your thought process was the road?
Yes. Road was spot on to my quote.
So matt, you hare not running History channel 2 for Perry County Indiana. Poor Mike, we see snow in June on his channey it seems like🤣🤣🤣🤣

Everyone has to remember the amount of content he has lol. In order to give you all the details he gets 6 months out in 1 months.
Good afternoon Matt
Same to you
thanks for video sans lighthouse
No problem
very interesting video. Couldn't the ag field drain run adjacent to the new pond (to the east) rather than under it, and create a new exit point into the river?
I thought that same thing !
Yes however we know there is a sand layer roughly 12’ down. We don’t want to penetrate it as it will make the pond leak
Matt by the time the history chanell airs this job we will have forgotten you did this video just saying lol
😂🤣😂🤣
That's a lot of poop good luck with that Matt great video thanks
😂 thank ya
Question, what about fresh water and power supply to the individual camp plots. Will all that be included after the sewer system is approved? Saves digging multiple trenches to each lot.
Most likely
It's one of the worst things about being the maintenance manager of a campground. You need pure flow... Super grinder lift stations all over. These new camper types use all sorts of stuff in their campers that should never be there
Be-No also known as tampons and the damn plastic parts... The new aloe vera wipes... That are not bio degradable. I could go on and on.
I hear you!
Nice.
Thanks!
👍 So it doesn't help to write your findings and a location number on the flags?
Not for a first check. Only needed to confirm we could achieve fall.
@@nyamillennial 👍
Bass in the corner of the pond? It's round. 🤣🤣🤣
You are right 😂🤣
Can you fill the pond with the water from the field? Then pond overflow into the river
Basically
114 ft or 113.9ft 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
😎😎
You forgot the 11 cabin sites ...
Did 😂

Pond work you can excel at. Until he Eng. Co. has a plan of all the buildings then you can't start the S.S. His time period might be June 2025.
He has a couple of options their in place.
Bottom line, it's gonna be a sewage funnel job
Basically 😂
If you've got a 500' run, 0.25"/ft fall works out to 125" (or 10'5") of fall. I'm not sure where your guesstimate came from, but you seem to be off by a power of 10.
1/4” is the max.
Why not have some premium sites with full hook up and other sites water only with a dump station to usr
Full hook up is what he is hoping for.
How does that work with the cabins.thanks
They connect to the septic system by pumping it up to a field bed
So you’re going to try to raise the road and property by hauling in dirt so everyone else can flood more than before? What did you shoot for a benchmark? Thanks
Tank location
Hello matt an frends
Hey hey
👍👍
😎😎
Ok, I just have to say it. This will definitely be the largest shitty job DP does😅😅😅
😂🤣😂🤣
🙂
😎
you totally lost me you need to explain yourself
Depends on which part
Always fascinating to learn just how much thought and work needs to happen before the dig begins.
It seems I'll be able to stay at the campground before I can stay at the castle.
Hey now 😂😂😂
This will be a year worth of videos for DP. Or maybe a year away, worth of videos! Lol
Probably 😂🤣
I know you were just showing rough idea for the pond but had to laugh, it resembles an ape! Mark could use that shape in marketing the pond. I.E. Sasquatch pond!😂
😂🤣😂🤣 I see it now!
Matt, poop does not run up hill, unless it is liqufied in water, otherwise, it lays where it plopps on the ground.

😂😂😂 you are correct
heck on the pond, you might be able to put a pipe in that goes to the river that will keep the pond full it you can do that.
Would run wrong way. Pipe is to ensure neighbor has a relieve for his surface water
Quite interesting, amazing how much it takes to setup a area for septic service to maintain a campground.great content as always.nice to see customer involved in process.continue on doing what you do best.great video.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Thanks for watching! He is a great customer
thanks for that fantastic overview of how to do a “rough” layout of what goes on UNDERGROUND when we go to a campsite.
Thank you for watching!
Matt why do I think I'm going to see a duck blind down by that dock?
You just never know 😂
When I read the title, it reminded me of numerous post I see on some of the reddit 'smart watch' forums where someone has a watch on their wrist and post a picture on there and ask something like 'is this watch to big for my wrist' or the opposite of that, 'is it too small for my wrist'. Soooooo, my first thought was, that depends on 'where you stick it'. 🤣
Exactly 😂😂😂
It's going to be great to see the whole project completed from start to finish, from Marks perspective it's going to be a great advertisement. 👍
I think so also!
I can't wait for this campground to be completed. It will be a welcome edition. It's a little bit of a pull for me from Terre Haute, but we love going to be places.
That’s awesome!

This was really interesting. Who knew a septic system was so fascinating. I'm looking forward to seeing this on DP's channel next fall or winter :). Thanks for taking us along!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice project are you going to run the water and electrical conduit lines at the same time as the sewer lines
Not sure yet
I agree with the field pipe evacuation. I was thinking that water runoff from the field might have fertilizers in it that if dumped into the pond, might concentrate and eventually contaminate it.
Thank you
62 camp-sights and 1 shower house = a lot of people in line for a shower. I would do 1 shower per every 20 possible guests.
Thank you
Matt, Am I missing something ?? Why not route the field drain down the side of the pond instead of under it?
Cheers Eric
Don’t want to penetrate the sand layer we know is there which would make the pond leak
One way or another you gotta get the 💩💩out. Getting the angle right comes with experience. Good planning Matt.
Spot on it all rolls down hill
Basically what you're making is a mound system
Basically. But it is called sand lined presby
22k subs way to go Matt. 25 is right around the corner.
So close!
