Wildhunt shifter is also a good choice. Adv on Widsom checks and enemies can't have advantage against you within 30 ft when shifted, plus Temp HP bonus.
I'll remember this when I'm making new builds. I've been working on making full characters from scratch (minus stat rolls) up to level 10. which im calling "quick builds." I realized that i was missing a lot on my builds by not having some of the other background stuff added.
On one hand you have summoned creatures to soak up damage for the party. On the other you have increased healing with a healing totem and cleric abilities.
For a druid caster, the Tortle is a solid choice now. It basically gives the druid a way to have heavy armor without breaking his/her oath. Good stuff.
Very true, though even 15 druid 5 cleric can use the 9th lvl spells slots and output more healing than Mass Heal in the long run. Combine maxed out Mass Cure Wounds plus the group heal from unicorn and you can just cost effectively amp it up with higher spell slots if necessary. This is all of course at the loss of Mass Heal and Wish, though I don't believe they are necessary, especially Wish if there is another caster.
You get the spell slot just not the spells is what i mean. You could only cast your 8th level spells even though you have 9th level spell slots because of the multi-classing rules.
also depends on how high the character will go too. if you're never going to go that high in levels then you might as well go for more early on utility.
Great video. I am interested in this combo. Although, I am more inclined to go 6 levels into life cleric, basically continuing the build with cleric from level 16 onwards.
and here I used a lizardfolk, because of them being practically built to be druids by default in so far i am at cleric 1/druid 12 and honestly, its been the most hilarious character i’ve played. its still amazing how you can just use Guardian of Nature spell or Investiture spells and then just beast shape into a brown bear and....fuck shit up when needed. this combination in particular both race and multiclass are one of the most versatiles i’ve seen, including taking “observant” for shits and giggles and end up becoming a walking radar with a 25 passive perception.
Life Cleric + Shepperd Druid is really OP specially when using Unicorn Spirit and Healing Fae as the Life clerics bonus will apply being part of your spell. Metal armor is RP based and not necessarly a detriment to the druid, if your god is Meiliki the forrest goddess you can get around the metal armor restriction because her priests are both rangers and druids and the lore states they are not bound by the restrictions that other druid circles impose on themselves. If your backstory is based on Meiliki you can get away with perhaps medium armor, i wouldnt suggest any armor that has dex reduction like heavy.
Appreciate it man. Question. My campaign will only go to of 14. Do you have any other interesting multiclasses to go with the shep. and the campaign will be in the underdark so what do you think of the ranger/ druid combo? Thanks.
Ranger and druid could be good. Elf dark vision and packs of animals with proficiency with perception to smell out things in the dark could be nice too. Tracking underground and taking the outlander feat (let's you remember the terrain and find food and water) can come in handy. More points into ranger would mean less spell slots available later but you pick up a fighting style and melee abilities. Really it comes down to what you want your character to do and what fits your idea for what you think is fun to play.
Do you prefer to be in the thick of battle or do you want to stand back and cast healing and support? Do you prefer to beat your enemies to a pulp or vaporize them with fire? One of the best characters I've ever seen played was a guy who played a wizard with no damage spells and only casted support spells and use illusions to trick the enemy. He literally spent the entire campaign buffing , hindering and tricking his way.
A lot of times if you can come up with how your character thinks to fight then it helps create how your character thinks and their motivation for doing things which helps flesh out your character.

I'll be on it ....might take a bit because my house caught fire and I'm just getting back to where I can make videos. I'm back logged on build requests. I'll try and get it as soon as I can.

so many builds to look look at ....I like it
If you go 5 lvls into cleric, you can take Beacon of Hope to further amplify your healing.
You could also go bard instead and take any healing spells you need from magical secrets and not give up 9th level spell slots.
also you could get wish too at the late levels with magical secrets with the healing.

Screw randomized summons. Do you think Gandalf was asking for giant eagles or something completely random?
Some DM's are picky and make it where they choose what yoh summon so you cant summon all eagles or all wolves.
Have some heavy dragon scale armor crafted
That works too
