- Can the new LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology provide more candela and better long-range lighting than LED? Yes! Listen to Shan as well as an industry expert from KSLD tell you why.

Excellent presentation. Quite the departure from the standard “it’s bright you you buy one” flashlight channel. Thank you for all the research and camera work.
I can't wait for the Z Bolt review!
Hella cool video, I've been wondering about this technology for a while. Great presentation!
We will be looking more closely at some of the lights in the future... stay tuned!
I've been pretty happy with my Trustfire T30R. I use it during low light classes to demo the difference between candela and lumens.
LEP needs a diffuser but after that… Best of both worlds.
Thank you
Great video guys! Next you should do a high candela LED tests. Like the weltool LH8, the modlite okw, cloud defensive rein 2, Malakoff head, ect.
Please include surefire turbos!
i wonder about the possibility or viability of making a dual emitter light? led emitter for flood and lep emitter for reach, all rolled into one package
Lumintop Thor Pro
The KSLD light that I showed has a ring of LEDs around the edge for flood.
Awesome lights! Please provide links to pocket lights. Thank you for your informative videos.
I've added some of the lights into the description.
I'm rockin the Olight Warrior X 3 for my rifle light it has some crazy light throw
Great info...but I found myself skipping and saying "SHOW ME THE FING LIGHTS!!!"
HAHAHA gratification
Fenix makes 2 laser flashlights. I have one 1500m distance and it’s not an overly large light at all. Has strobe and low too.
I just bought a handheld Modlite and just yesterday discovered what LEPs were. And wouldn't you know heres an excellent video explaining it all. Awesome!
I wasn't aware the Modlite had a LEP offering yet. I have the OKW (LED), PLHv2 (LED), PLH5k (LED), and have seen the PLH (LED). If they do have LEP, I'll definitely get one in for testing!
@@WerkzHolsters Yes, my Modlite is an OKW. Not an LEP, but my research into super high candela lights led me to discover LEPs.
But Shan, please understand I so much appreciate your deep dive and scientific approach and analysis into the subject. God bless Sir.
And all Involved.
@@lcusatis Thanks much for your encouragement! Yes, look for a deeper dive into the OKW (and Cloud Defensive MCH HC) soon!
Is there any other LEP gun lights besides the Olight Valkyrie Turbo?
Have you done any testing with fenix lights? I know it has nothing to do with the video, I’m just curious how they stack up to the competition.
In the future laser phosphor lights may replace hid lights in long-range searchlights since a large laser phosphor wheel can generate light intensity similar to hid lights and a 120W laser on a phosphor wheel may produce more than 25000 lumen
Can y'all help me with suggestion on a good budget home defense light .
Best I can do is point you to our library of videos.
streamlight tlr-1 or ProTac HLX
I remember when Kyocera used to make cell phones. Bricks, I mean.
Don't give up your day job Shan, for a stand-up gig......jesayin. (lol)
Imagine getting blinded by those from oncoming traffic because people don’t know how to aim headlights.
Hate the language this dude is using, he thinks he sounds intelligent.
Decent video ruined with a clickbait title, earning you a thumbs down.
Boring
To you, perhaps it is boring.
You have a TikTok attention span
Ok zoomer.
@@DinnerForkTongue if I wanted a lecture I would listen to a podcast. This is video. Instead of showing his face in a static camera. Show video of the product working, while you talk about it. It’s called b rolll. Advanced stuff for you I’m sure.
@@PD-we8vf
I'm not the one with an attention deficit here, shorty. And just so you're aware for once, B-rolls are annoying to record and even more annoying to edit in, so obviously some smaller-scale channels or crews deem it not cost-effective.
Maybe think of the behind the scenes before blurting out your spew, eh? But that may be advanced stuff for you, I'm sure. 💅
27 minutes of jargon and gak. Just show us how bright the light is and tells us how long the batteries last. Follow that with a durability test. Put the results on a chart. In other words: Stick with what you're good at.
There’s plenty of paid shill flashlight review RUclips channels for the cognitively challenged.
This guy is giving specific information for specific applications. So look elsewhere my simpleton friend.
@@e7tegt503 That's funny--you pretending to understand anything not written in crayon. You need to get out of your mom's basement once in a while--too many video games. Maybe a job at Dairy Queen might be the ticket! You could look so smart giving people their change! In fact, you could pretend you have a clue! I say go for it!

You could put OP in the coffee filter after this. Nice roast!
