Nice Trailrunner! I've been running mine for four years. It takes some love, but it still keeps going. It's hard to justify it since the TRX4 is so bulletproof, but I love my Trailrunner. It's a mini-me of my real 4Runner. Change the ESC. The stock ESC is a fire hazard. Get a Hobbywing 1080 in there. I'd recommend avoiding brushless with the IFS1 in the Trailrunner. The IFS1 won't hold up to the torque. I never broke more things in a month than when I had one of those Hobbywing fusion combo things in there. Speaking of the IFS1, I'd recommend looping zip ties around the control arms. They will pop apart, and you will lose the little drive cups that slide into the front diff. The skid plate is a good choice. The stock setup has a dead vertical spot that gets caught up on everything. The skid plate is metal which won't slide as nice as plastic, plus you lose a tiny bit of ground clearance, but eliminating that vertical spot is worth it. It may be worth looking into the lower control arm skids that wing up higher to cover more of the CV axles. Things love to get caught in there and wrap around the CV axles. That rear bumper is good and useful. Having a spare tire handy has saved me miles from the parking lot. I don't know with the material you used, but I got mine from Knight's old partnership with that one online service that printed for you. I took a sufficiently long hex cap screw, drilled out the hole all the way through, put it in through the back, got it hot with a soldering iron, and pressed it into the back of the spare tire mount. It's remained secure ever since. You secure the spare tire with a standard wheel nut. I've had fantastic luck with ceramic bearings in the transmission. I haven't had to get into it in years.
That is a awsome build. Glad you got it finished and didnt give up on it. turned out cool. I would use that land anchor on my 1961 corvair lakewood element builder kit 2 trail truck.
Land anchor would go on my recently acquired SCX10.3 CJ7 watching another channel of a red one makes me want to scale it out like crazy. Great job on the 4 Runner!
Really dig the side sticker, plus the sasquatch you added looks so good on there. A winch hook like that would look good on my tow truck I'm working on; 1/10 Atlas (FMS) put a boom together, putting a amber light on top and adding two winches - of course for the boom and on the front.
I'm glad you were able to finish this. It came out great! My wife actually saw your video and I've been trying to get her to choose a rig I can build for her, well guess what?! Shee liked yours so much she wants one of her own too! Which leads me to say that we would happily add a land anchor to it as well. Anywho, onto planning on new build!! So excited to have a new project to look forward too! Thanks for the tip of JLC3DP!
Great job!!! Mine has been sitting all apart for years. With a 3D printed grill I bought from Knight customs. But didn’t cut the body right!!😢 love how yours came out!!! 👍👍👍👍
Sweet! I’d definitely put that on an axial cj7 scale build I’m planning on when funds are saved for it. Planning on making it themed after an anime called lazy camp.
That 4Runner came out great. Those scale accessories really finish the rig off. I'd use that land anchor on my SSD TK Pro. Already has a servo winch installed.
Good video with realistic detail options. I just built the Tamiya 56045 Centurion MK lll tank. A very exiting kit. You are very good with the details, so maybe something for you too?
WOW. REALLY COOL. DO YOU 3D PRINT MOST OF YOUR ACCESSORIE'S. AFTER INITIAL INVESTMENT. DOES IT ACTUALLY SAVE YOU MONEY IN THE LONG RUN. I'VE BEEN THINKING OF GETTING A 3D PRINTER. THERE ARE SO MANY THING'S I WANT TO PRINT FOR MY TRUCK'S THAT NO ONE MAKE'S. GREAT JOB! 👍
I really love your content! Your builds are really good, it makes me want to mess with my rock crawler, it needs more stuff, n new front bumper exct exct lol
I can really see one of those land anchors on my TRX-4. I've already got a scale dual motor winch, so a perfect fit! I'm trying to convince myself to get a 3D printer. I've got a relatively small work room. So I'm trying to figure where to put it, or what piece of equipment to put away so, I'll have room.
Try out JLC3DP 3D Printing Services. 3D Printing starting at $0.30 & CNC Machining Service starting at $8: jlc3dp.com/?from=RCGirl
Do they operate in Europe too?🙂
@@kenneth_jensen They ship worldwide.
@@ChrisJames-gt3ye That is great. But if the shipment comes from outside of Europe, our goverment adds a huge tax on the shipment.
Thank you for your response. Feel free to proceed according to your needs. Wishing you all the best!
Paint the exhaust pipe in a silvery colour, and a awesome scale rig will be even more scale!
Cheers.
ohh good idea!

Your builds are awesome RC Girl. I'd put that anchor on my axial Suzuki build.
